Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Disease :: Terrible Heel Pain?

I have undifferentiated connective tissue disease and am off all meds. Currently I can barely walk. I am getting so used to it that it almost feels normal but of course it's far from normal. The pain is about an 8 out of 10 and i've never experienced anything over a 4 or 5. It was always fatigue before!

Can anyone tell me what i can do about this foot pain?

More than anything I just want to know what it is? It started when I began a job where i stand all day. Is it a kind of RA? I am desperate for answers. If I knew something would work I would do it. Anything but go back to prednisone....I"m starting to think that would be better too though!

Hemorrhoids :: Scar Tissue After Hemorrhoidectomy

I had a Hemorrhoidectomy in October of 2012 and I did have some complications with it. It is now 3 years later and things have gotten a little worse. Over time I have developed some internal scar tissue at the site of the wound (this was confirmed today by a Colorectal Surgeon) which has resulted in me having a hard time defecating and constant constipation. The outside of my anal opening is a little irritated as well and he gave me a topical cream for it. However, he told me not to worry about the scar tissue....that I wouldn't have never known it was there until he told me. However, I knew something was wrong because of the narrow stools. So I'm not trying to determine if their are any OTC creams i can use internally to smooth out or get rid of the scar tissue. I remember reading somewhere awhile back about non surgical treatments for scar tissue due to Hemorrhoidectomy surgery but I can't remember where.

Hemorrhoids :: Wet Tissue Method To Push Them Inside

This is not cure, but it really worked for me for 8 mths to reclaim my life. I have hemorrhoids since 2012, and bleeded furiously at times. I have tried several methods to cure, tried pushing in the piles using KY gel during work or soap when bathing. But no success. Then one day I tried using wet tissues to push in. Worked like a charm! Even when I have diarrhea and had to go toilet 3 times, it still worked!!

This is how I would advise...

Right after your bowel business, take 3 wet wipes (pref the flushable type - otherwise do not throw into toilet bowl).

I use the first for cleaning. I would wipe twice with it (mine is 19x20 cm)

Then I would fold the second into half, wipe once, then fold again.

Position 2 fingers onto the center of the wet wipe (now quarter-sized) and push gently into anus.

First push at the center of piles (I have 2 big and 1 small, the smaller one most painful).

Push gently in, while relaxing your anal muscles.

Withdraw fully till the tips of your fingers are just touching the anus, then push in again.

Repeat one or twice more, then begin targeting the piles, pushing them in.

Total of 6-8 times shd do the trick.

Third wet wipe? Just a spare. I usually used it to confirm that it is clean.

But why wet tissues? Because they provide enough traction to draw the piles in, but wet enough to make it painless, and tough enough not to break.

Tips:

1. Experiment with different hands when pushing. I used to do it with the hand I normally wipe with, but my first finger started to ache after 3 months. Then I tried the other hand, and behold, angle is such that it is much easier to push in. And because it takes less effort, my finger of that hand has not ache even now.

2. Squeeze your anal muscles gently after the piles have been push in. If you feel a slight sensation of piles being drawn in fully, then you'll know it is done. Even if not, as long as your piles is no longer painful nor interfere your life, it shd be considered ok.

The whole thing only takes one more min in the toilet. And by using flushable wet tissues, it is so convenient, you can just throw into the toilet bowl, at home or outside.

Abortion :: Large Glob Of Tissue And Blood Discharged Weeks After

So I took the abortion pill, which resulted as successful. However, weeks later I was walking in my house and felt something moving out of my vagina, similarly to how I would feel the tissue and such while on my period, but significantly more. I ran to my bathroom thinking I was getting my period at an off time due to the abortion, but there was a large glob of tissue and blood that had exited my body. After that, there was nothing for a week or so later when I started getting my actual menstrual cycle again. Was this a result of the abortion? Is it normal?

Do Parasites Cause Autoimmune Diseases?

I have recently completed 2 stool sample tests that have rendered the same outcome, positive for parasitic organisms but unable to identify. Now I have to complete the exam a third time. I have still not received any treatment and have experienced some serious health problems over the past few years, including an idiopathic cardiomyopathy a little over 2 years ago. Two years before this I was hospitalized for a serious virus that could not be identified. This involved a very high fever, diarrhea, vomiting, and the start of kidney failure, however I went to the emergency room at the right time. One month later, I had mono, then 4 months later, had a palsy in my left foot, then less than one year after, started experiencing chest pain, serious headaches, and extreme fatigue. The emergency room kept sending me home telling me it was a virus. Finally several months had passed after numerous visits to this ER, I went to a different hospital where they found a cardiomyopathy. My ejection fraction was 35%. I am only 37! Just after this, I noticed one day that I had experienced severe itching in the rectal area with several days of white discharge that had an odor of infection. I waited for a couple of months to see if things would get better, and they didn't, so I went to the ER. I told the doctor about the cardiomyopathy and previous mysterious illnesses, he completed a brief rectal exam, and said it was probably internal hemorrhoids. I asked if a parasitic infection was possible, and he said it was very unlikely because I hadn't been out of the country in several years. So he never tested my stool. Two years have passed, and I have had the same/similar problems since, and have reported this to the doctors over and over. For the past year and a half, I have developed new symptoms. Extreme fatigue, weakness, joint aches, headaches, constipation and diarrhea, greasy, yellowish stools, sweat that smells like ammonia, skin peeling out of my mouth, gas, burping, bad breath, weight loss and loss of appetite. In addition, I have mysterious skin rashes with hives on a daily basis, and started taking pictures of them to document this. In December of 2012, I tested positive for lupus with a positive ANA, and my doctor ordered the test because my eosinophil percentage had consistently been flagged on my blood reports as high. I still was not getting any answers, so I switched all of my doctors and have been going to the city. This is a world renowned hospital. Upon meeting my new doctors, they ordered a repeat of blood tests. This time the lupus was negative. The doctors quickly dismissed the lupus results prior, and said that sometimes people just test false positive, with no further explanation. Back in April of this year, my doctor informed me that my vitamin d level was very low, 12, should be between 30-40 he said, so I have been taking prescription vitamin d. I met with an infectious disease specialist a month ago, and she said she didn't think that I had parasites, but she would test because of my eosinophils. Bingo, I do have them, and now the doctors are trying to say they are parasitic but may not be causing my symptoms. For several months I have noticed that there is strange looking debris after blowing my nose into a tissue. Last night, I am about 99% certain that it was a small worm, certainly looked like one, and I was a teacher, so I am fairly well educated. I saved it in the tissue and put it in a ziplock bag. I don't know whether to call my doctor or not on Monday morning, as I don't trust him, and think he will once again be dismissive. I already went through the HIV phase with him, and told him I didn't have it, as I've only had 4 partners my entire life, have never had unprotected sex, I don't rim, and had an HIV test. I haven't been sexually active in about three years, so I knew I couldn't have it. I retested a couple of months ago to satisfy him, and it was negative once again. I have asked him if any of my past symptoms are connected, and he didn't think so. I disagree. The only diagnosis I have is another one of idiopathic nature, urticaria, (spelling) and says my blood work is fine, which it isn't, because my vitamin d was very low, and my eosinophils are still high. Any advice on what I should do? Prior to all of this stuff over the past 5 years, I was very rarely I'll. now I can no longer do many of the things that I used to, as I don't feel well enough, and I would really like to get some normalcy back in my life. Is there a doctor who can answer this without telling me that I am imagining things? The test results obviously indicate that I am not.

Foot / Ankle :: Overheating/Scar Tissue In Big Toe Joint Following Microfracture Surgery

Four months ago I had microfracture surgery to repair cartilage damage in my big toe joint. Recovery has been very slow due to swelling. I began experiencing overheating in that foot just a few days following surgery. While my foot also gets quite warm if I stand or sit for too long, these more dramatic episodes occur only at night.

By overheating, I mean that the surgery foot turns bright red, and gets exceptionally warm... the big toe joint area gets downright hot to the touch (there is no infection present) and feels as though there is a space heater sitting about an inch in front of my foot.

The episodes originally occurred every night and lasted up to 2 hours before normal temp. returned. Gradually, the duration has shortened to 30-45 minutes, occurring only 3-5 times a week. The only way I have found to prevent this from happening (and it only works sometimes), is to leave my bare foot uncovered when I go to bed - no blankets or sheets over it.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? Nobody can seem to explain why this is happening - it delays my sleep well into the night and is definitely not helping the residual swelling I still have to subside.

Cast? Chevron Osteotomy Hallux With Distal Soft Tissue Realignment

I had Chevron osteotomy hallux with distal soft tissue realignment and pip joint fusion on my second toe yesterday. I have padding and bandages and an orthopedic boot. I go back on Thursday to the dressing clinic for a Mitchels bootie. I have been told that this is a plaster of paris cast. Has anyone on here had one and if so how long did you wear it for? Also I have a pin sticking out from my 2nd toe, when is this likely to be removed? Apart from the dressing clinic appointment this Thursday my next appointment is to be in 6 weeks to see my surgeon. Surely the pin should be removed before this?

Infectious Diseases :: Flu Symptoms After A Cat Bite

So last friday night, my cat bit me on my lower leg. I washed it coz my mom got mad at me with water and soap. Yesterday I feel fatigued (probably due to my brother's birthday and I cooked half the day ugh) and just this morning when I woke up my throat feels itchy and I have had chills. I don't have fever but feels like about to have a flu. I had myself vaccinated after waking up but still feels chilly. Is it rabies? My cat looks well anyway so I don't think she has rabies but I want to be sure. Everyone in my family has had flu last week so I'm not really sure.

Disc Bulging - Mild Facet Arthropathy - Granulation Tissue In Disk Osteophyte

This is my 1st time posting here.. and sorry in advance because I know this post is lengthy...
I had an MRI my results in a nutshell are
L1-L2 disc bulging with mild facet arthropathy from
L2-L3 disc bulging with facet arthropathy with canal stenosis
L3-L4 disc bulging with mild facet arthropathy
L4-L5 disk bulging severe facet arthropathy moderate canal stenosis, mild bilateral neural foraminal narrowing
L5-S1 disk osteophyte complex, granulation tissue noted in the right neuroforamen, mild neural foraminal stenosis

Impression: degenerative changes of lumber spine with post surgical changes at L5-S1 on the right. Synovitis noted on the right at L4-L5

Findings.. Lumbar spine is normal alignment. Disc desiccation is noted from L3-L4 through L5-S1 with loss of disk height at L5-S1 along with posterior annular fissure. Post surgical changes from the laminectomy on the right at L5-S1.

I'm waiting for the spine doctor to get my records from my previous surgery I had done about 8yrs ago before they will make me an appointment for my new problems..

I am just looking for others who may have the same problems as I do... I have been experiencing severe back pain at first when it started I thought it was my hip because thats where the pain started then radiated down my leg I did PT for awhile and it did help some but now the pain is much much worse and in my foot it feels like I am curling my toes but only 2 will do so and the others just dont move just straight out but it feels like they are its really freaky.. other pain symptoms I have is spasms that radiate from the bottom of my spine to my neck and it gets back to wear I jerk..

I also get numbness with tingling it just feels like I have heavy sharp rocks buried deep inside my back and the newest symptom I have it when I roll my neck back n forth I hear weird popping noises like pop rock sounds n feeling and when I bend over n touch the floor with my hands it feels like my back is popping with a rolling motion really strange...

Im just curious if anyone here has experienced any of these symptoms and if anything was done to alleviate them especially if u have had surgery and what kind..Im just wondering if the symptoms I have is due to the results of my MRI and which ones. I am not that savvy when it comes to where all these L's and s's r located...

I have been sitting on a medicine ball to sit on and exercising on it and it has helped tremendously..

I just dont know what to make of all of this all I know is im in a lot of pain

Infectious Diseases :: Tick Borne Encephalitis

I got back from a 2 month trip across Eastern, Central and Southern Africa about 6 weeks ago. A few days after I got home I felt quite unwell, fever, headache etc and I was concerned I may have contracted malaria as I wasn't brilliant at remembering to take my pills. So I got referred to infectious disease department who tested me for lots of travel related illnesses. I was negative for malaria but came back positive for tick borne encephalitis and also Rickettsia (related to African tick fever) I think.

I am actually feeling fine now but they called me in for the results ... I'm just a little confused as from what I've seen on travel health websites is that you can't get tick borne encephalitis in africa! I didn't know this at the time so I didn't say anything to the doctor. You get it in Asia and Europe..I did go to Asia about a year and a half ago but would it be possible for this to still show up in my blood?

I'm just a bit worried as I know this disease can be potentially deadly or cause lasting neurological problems and there's no treatment. I'd feel a bit better knowing I definitely caught it from the earlier trip to Asia as then I know it would have made me much sicker by now if it was going to.

Cause Of Autoimmune Diseases? Non-functional Immune System

What causes Immune systems to become useless and non functional ? Is it drugs too many, to strong ,killing off what is good stuff in our blood,  ?

taking yet more drugs to compensate for blood disorders,to give the system chance to revive to fight back, but seemingly never does.

What happens when the immune system can't take any more drugs,

does it shut down totally, and then what?

Sexually Transmitted Diseases :: Red Bumps On Shaft Of Penis

I woke up this morning and I took a shower, while I was in the shower I noticed Red bumps on my shaft of my penis but the thing is they don't itch or hurt, The day before they were kind of white but now their red, there's none on my head or around it, But I'm concerned because it happened last month but no burns when peeing or itchiness and nothing hurt.

I honestly haven't had sex in 2/3 months, and before that since last September of 2013. I used a condom. But she gave me oral without a condom....

Infectious Diseases :: Enlarged Lymph Node, Narcolepsy And Hypothyroidism

I am a 29 year old female. Around 19 years ago, I had slipped capital femoral. Around 6 months ago, the same pain started to occur. I went for a dye injected MRI and the results were inconclusive due to the pins interfering with the magnets. The pain has gone away for the most part with a few outbreaks but about two weeks after the injection, I found a pea-sized hard  movable lump in my groin, painless unless manipulated a lot . I spoke to my general practitioner about it going on 6 months ago, and he said keep an eye on it but confirmed it was a swollen lymph node. I am scared to go back but the lump has stayed consistent, possibly enlarged. Should I be worried? I have had insomnia and I have narcolepsy, so it's very rare for me. I am always tired, but again have narcolepsy and hypothyroidism .

Infectious Diseases :: BUMPS/BLISTERS On Bikini Area Tingling YEAST STD?

i had unprotected sex on SUNDAY sept 1(pull out), plus oral and protected a week or two before that.

***note: it happened on burning man, with no shower, little water, a lot of sun, and i knew this guy was drinking a lot and taking drugs and not sleeping for a week. it was the end of the day 2 for me and i took a small amount of MDMA that day.]

5-7 days later i was feeling tenderness and a little tingling burning pain, but thought it was my period, which was unusually heavy as i`m on birth control.

MONDAY sept 9 i knew something was wrong. the tingling got worse and i went to some doctor i knew for blood test and he also gave me DOXYCYCLINE (he s not a gynecologist) i also asked for ACYCLOVIR in case have herpes. i started taking them at 4pm

TUESDAY morning i threw up with yellow stuff and had a lot of green/yellow/brown watery then cottage cheese discharge, which became yellow watery and by the end of the day pink. pain got worse

WEDNESDAY morning i went to free clinic, where they told me most likely it CHLAMYDIA or GONORREA, told me to continue doxy and gave me shot for gonorrea

THURSDAY i noticed the discharge got water and thicker, pain was still there. in the afternoon after a long flight and traveling i noticed red single BUMPS on my skin in my bikini area, between ******* and vagina and above the clitoris, some of the hurt, some itch, not considerably. 7 in total, plus one on the labia, just not sure if that`s a bump. the next day 2 of them had water inside. i immediately texted my friend i knew he has herpes and he said it looked like it 99% and we now can be in relationship ha! i wasn't sleeping all night, googling and googling, pain seemed to increase and the bumps itched a little bit.

FRIDAY i went to my gynecologist and he said it`s not herpes(the culture text will be ready in 10 days), not even STD, but YEAST. He said you are not supposed to be treated without knowing the reason and doxycycline is old and not supposed to be taken for a week but for 2 days. also the std test will show only in 2 weeks after the exposure.

stopped taking meds and taking xre of my yeast now, hoping for the best. and i got my lesson!!
