Menopause :: Erratic Periods

Jan 26, 2015

I bleed! Ever since I was told I was perimenopause my periods are erratic. Out of a 30 day month I bleed for maybe 25 of the days, some heavy, some really light but always a show. Does anyone else experience this or have done? Funny story I went for my smear test and they asked me the date of my last period and I said I'd like to know that too.

Propranolol For Palpitations And Erratic Heartbeats

Hi over past 12 months have been having loads of palpitations and erratic heartbeats, last visit to A&E on Tuesday, heart was going from my normal 72 to 108 within seconds and I could feel constant banging in chest over the weekend.  Had blood work, ECG, chest X ray all normal. Doctor said she thinks it may be my thyroid and whilst waiting for results have been given 40 mg propranolol per day to slow heartbeat.  I am also being sent for 24 hour heart monitor.  My question is will it make my heartbeat too slow, I already feel woozy with heart racing so am a bit concerned to be taking this.  No explanation was given apart from that it will not hurt me, take it for 2 weeks and see what happens. I read the leaflet and actually cut the pill in half because it does say for thyroid related problems 10mg - 40mg 2 - 3 times per day so wanted to start on the low side.  You know what it is like, I took the pill 30 mins ago and am sitting here waiting for something to happen, especially after reading the problems with stomach as I suffer badly with GERD.

Heart Disease :: PVCs And PACs - Syncope With Erratic Sinus Rhythm

I am Nico, I am a 26 year old male who has been suffering from an array of symptoms since I was 17 years old. I am 5ft 8" and I weigh 235 lbs ( I've gained over 60lbs in the last year and a half) I have had a Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and dizziness (not vertigo) problem since 17 (nearly 8 years now). In 2009 I got into a car accident and fractured my frontal right sinus cavity and had to do a reconstructive surgery. In this accident I also got a concussion and was in shock and also unconscious for about an hour. The last few years my health has gradually been declining and my quality of life has gotten so low. I have seen a TBI specialist, a Neurologist, a Cardiac Electrophysiologist, a Psychologist, and a Psychiatrist for Psychotropic medication management

****(Since Wednesday Morning 10/7/15 I noticed whenever I am Sitting or Standing that My Heart Rate Is Super Erratic and Jumping around a lot, it goes into the 120s-140s when I stand "from a sitting 60-70 bpm" and then bounces all over the place, 40s to low 100s to 80s to 50s, etc. Also since this has started I have noticed an extreme shortness of breath made worse sitting or standing, made better by laying down on my side, my blood pressure since wednesday had also been very low for my normal average when standing, other symptoms with this are blurred vision and off balance/dizzy... I fainted for about 5 seconds friday 10/9/15 night after climbing my flight of stairs, earlier that friday morning I went to the Emergency Department to be evaluated and they said my chest xray was okay as well as my CBC and CMP blood tests.... I explained that most of my symptoms were POSTURAL and or ORTHOSTATIC but they kept me lying down till discharge and didn't let me show them, but on the monitor I was having 100s! of PVCs and PACs which is not normal for me to have that many, also the PACs were making my shortness of breath worse.... They discharged me even though I said I don't feel safe because these are new symptoms and they said well we need your room because we are busy and your cardiologist said all the Arrhythmias are from your Sinus Node so your fine and were discharging you.

. Here are the symptoms I have experienced daily or within this time frame:

*Panic Attacks
*Constant Fear/Adrenaline Rushes
*Always Tired
*No Sex Drive
*Irritable
*Easily Overstimulated (sensory Overload)

*Sensitive to Sounds (Always have to wear earplugs)
*Sensitivity to Light (always wear sunglasses)
*Off balance
*Slight body tremors
*Chronic Neck and Muscle tension in Occipital and Trapezius Muscles
*Startled by normal everyday sounds (occasionally)
*Frequent muscle twitching (Eyelids, Stomach and Diaphragm, temple, legs)
*I can't climb a flight of stairs without feeling exhausted (2 years ago I used to hit the gym a lot)
*Always Feel Like I Am Dying or That I Have Some Serious Terminal Illness
*Tinnitus
*Elevated Blood Pressure
**Obstructive Sleep Apnea (Not using CPAP)
*Obesity
*Brain Fog Always
*Shortness of Breath
*Lump In Throat
* Every few months a random mouth and tongue become paralyzed for less than a minute when I eat then I get
Confused afterwards or Panic attack.

Here are the Medications I take everyday:

Clonazepam (Klonopin) .75 Mg
Diazepam (Valium) 5MG as or if needed
Aspirin 325MG

Menopause :: Heavy Periods, Can't Focus, Panic Attacks And Anxiety

Not really sure where to begin...wasn't at all sure what was wrong with me until I started reading that my symptoms were connected to the menopause...Unfortunately I am experiencing the lot in some form or other...anxiety is extreme and panic attacks regular...moods are erratic..can't focus or think straight and there appears to be a sense of doom follows me around..I also suffer from severe heavy periods which take a lot out of me for 2 of the 4 wks of the month so am not in a very good place just now! I am generally NOT this type of person and am really struggling with all this but not sure where to begin

I was given HRT which I only lasted 3wks with as I began to take migraines again which I hadn't suffered from for a lot of yrs

I am really keen to try the alternative/natural route but I don't seem to be improving at all with what I am taking

If anyone hasn't lost the will to live reading this I am also being considered for hysterectomy which to me is a very viable option and would like to hear from anyone who has had the surgery and how it was for them.

Menopause :: Period - One Year Post-menopause

Three weeks ago, to my great surprise, I started to bleed after one year. The 2-3 weeks preceding this, my breasts were so sore, I was bloated and I has the typical "stringy" discharge that I used to get before my period. I was really not expecting another period but the bleeding was heavy and lasted for just over a week.

I saw my doctor a few days ago and she that she is obliged to send me for an ultrasound and possible biopsy if the lining looks thick. She said she is not worried but I am freaking out.

Can anyone share a similar experience? I read on one website that it is actually possible to ovulate and have a period after you stop menstruating for a year. I have not had any spotting - just this one "period". Of course, everything I have read says how abnormal it is to bleed after menopause and now I'm scared that there is something serious going on. My ultrasound is booked for two days from now.

30's And Having My Menopause

I'm 36 and have recently had a blood test at doctors to check for menopause, came back that my estrogen is non existent! I have a very long list of symptoms that made me convinvce the doctor to do the test. She told me if I can cope with the symptoms it would be best as she didn't agree with issuing HRT due to the risks, what are the main risks? Google is a good place to assure yourself your dying (maybe a bit extreme lol) but all I seem to find is contradicting risks and benefits, I was wondering if anyone else has any experience with taking HRT at such a young age and what exactly the "risks" are, I am so depressed at feeling like I do and I just want to "feel myself again" it seams so long since I felt like me

Menopause :: When Will It All End ?

I'm 52 and been suffering years now with the menopause thought I was just going round the bend but after reading these posts I don't feel like that now, My periods just stopped 3 years ago and never seen or spotted again so in that way I have been lucky but mental health wise anxiety and depression hot sweats vomiting without warning have blighted my life. I've only just bothered going to see a doctor as I just thought I couldn't cope any longer but didn't really get anywhere I take Paroxetine and diazepam and trying to control such negativity and weird thoughts in my mind. I worry about my health and dying and loosing my husband but assume that's the menopause after reading some posts I feel like I'm just waiting to die I have some agoraphobia and can't leave the house alone but will go to the shops in a car with my husband. Can I ask when you use the term peri or pari what does that mean ? Also how long do you think menopause symptoms carry on for ?

Menopause :: Bloating?

I have not gotten my period yet for the month of January, only a 2 hour slight brown discharge...never missed before either. Being 49, almost 50 in a few months, I am not surprised that I have missed a period at this age. Really looking into peri menopause, I think I have dealt with it for years, but always chalked it up to something else.

Right now this is what concerns me.....I have had feelings of the "phantom period", but than again, the month isn't over just yet, so maybe I still will get a period this month. I have some PMS symptoms, but the irrablitlity which was always a huge thing for me has not surfaced, that to me just does'nt seem normal since so many women make that their number one complaint. Oh trust me, I had it all the time, just not this month....yet...lol...

Now, my newest thing is extreme bloat! Holy Cow, I feel like I am cramming myself into my pants, yet my weight has not fluctuated only by 1/2 pound!
