I've been on the Nuvaring for a couple of weeks now, and while originally, I had no issues, it seems now that my body is trying to expel/reject it. Could this be due to possible pregnancy?
(Note: I'm aware that some women's bodies simply reject the Nuvaring. I was inquiring as to whether there's a possible connection, that aside.)
This might be Anxiety, but I am wondering if nude body to body massage with the masseuse vagina rubbing on my penis outside (no penetration/intercourse) but defo fluid exchange, no condom and she put her finger in my anus, would that be a risk of HIV?
I have been to the same masseuses and I have done test and they all negative after but the last time I went for the massage is after my last negative test so I am just being very worry?
I am 31 years old and had a vaginal sex with a girl of unknown HIV status using two condoms at a time. It was my first sexual encounter. I ejaculated twice and both times I used double condoms as I changed after first ejaculation. Both times the condoms seemed to be intact and I could see my semen inside the condom. It's almost over 28 days now and since the past couple of days I have developed almost all symptoms like pain in the back (I have a history of L3 compression and pelvic hairline fracture in 2007), cough with something in throat, body ache, night sweats, hot flashes throughout the body, had stiffness and pain in the back of neck, not visible swollen lymph nodes , had two time kind of diarrhea today.
Since the day after this exposure I was panic stricken with stress and anxiety and cannot sleep at all with insomnia like features and wake up at 2 or 3 or 4 am in the morning due to all sorts of weird thoughts.
I know this question may have been asked before but I'm really stressed out and i need some reassurance. Yesterday I had an erotic massage that involved body to body. She applied some oil to her body and mine and sat in my lap with sine grinding for a minute or so. Her vagina touched my lower shaft and scrotum and it only lasted about a minute or so but there was no penetration. She was 35 and seemed healthy without any visible herpes symptoms. I know there is a risk of contracting herpes in this fashion but how high is this risk? I am terrified and not sure what to do.

The masseuse rubbed her body over my body, using also her vagina (along my legs, etc.). I fingered her, mostly on the outside, but also briefly on the inside. Although our genitals did not touch (except perhaps incidentally very very briefly), I am very concerned about STDs. What are the risks? How long should I wait before having sex with my girlfriend? There was no oral, no visible sores, often a few seconds of digital penetration, but she certainly touched my penis after having been in contact with my finger that was inside of her (not immediately).
I would be very grateful for any advice/words from experience with this sort of thing. Has anyone here received an STD in this way?
Ok put new one in on November 7th Thursday, Take it out November 28th Thursday. Put new nuvaring in on December 3rd (6th day) Is it ok to put a new one on the 6th day instead of 7th?
OR
should I put a new nuvaring in on December 4th?

After discussing my options with my doctor last week, I decided to give it a try. So far so good. I had some cramping in the first few days, but that's completely gone now and I haven't noticed any other side effects.
Part of why I chose NuvaRing is I don't have to think about it very much. Also, my doctor doesn't like the implant, and would rather save an IUD for last if I don't find something else I like. She did mention Depo, but I didn't want that because of what I've heard about bone density loss and weight gain, neither of which I want. Another reason is my doctor said she has lots of patients with success skipping their periods on the ring, and that's something that's important to me. If I could, I'd stop my period until I was ready to get pregnant.
I've been on the nuvaring for 3 weeks (will take it out tomorrow for my break week) and I had sex with my boyfriend and he came inside me. He had come and the ring had been around his penis. When I saw this, I just reinserted the ring back inside. Could I be pregnant? Should I take plan b?

But what I want to know is is it possible for it to give me a fishy smell inside my vagina? For example I wanted to wash myself up and go have fun with hubby and I did so. And after i washed I did a test run and I wiped the surface of my vagina with my finger and it didn't smell like anything so I thought "cool". Well he stuck his finger inside of me and it had a fishy smell. Nothing else is going on down there. No discharge. No burning, itching, etc. Do I need to take my nuvaring out and give it a rinse every once in awhile or what?
View 1 RepliesRecently My nuvaring was taken out for sex, and yes I know you don't have to, but I do because of the painful friction when its not inserted deep enough. I realized the next morning that it was out still (more than three hours), and put it back in like the pamphlet says.. Only I didn't realize that I was in my third week, which comes with different instructions. Not knowing what to do, I left it in and took it out on my normally scheduled day. Now I have my period and my question is should I put a new ring in now, on the first day of My period, or on the day I would have taken it out had the cycle not been interrupted, or should I put it in a week from day that that I took it out the first time? I took it out Thursday put it back in Friday morning and took it out Sunday. Now today my period started. What do I do? How long should I use extra protection for?

View 1 RepliesI have been on nuvaring for 6 months. Last month I decided to leave it in for four weeks and change the ring after the 4th week. That same week my husband and I had sex. I assumed the nuvaring protected us from conception. Well 3 weeks later I started spotting, brown which I figured was normal but then it became bright red. Thursday morning I woke up with massively painful cramps. It was very difficult for me to function and I took misplace for the last 3 days to cope with the cramps. The cramping subsided Friday morning, but bleeding was heavier. I removed the ring Thursday thinking it was causing the issue and began using tampons. When I removed my tampon yesterday it was soaked and there was tissue around the base. A large piece of pinkish red tissue. Is this just endometrial cells or could I have been pregnant and miscarried?

I inserted it on the same day and I've been having cramps ever since then. Is that normal? They feel exactly like menstrual cramps, except I'm not in my period at all.I used to take the pill but I stopped 3 years ago because I always forgot to take it. That's why I asked my doctor about the nuvaring, because I really wanted to start the pill again because I always have huge and painful cramps when I got my period and the pill is supposed to help reduce the pain.Since I started Nuvaring, I get cramps about 4 or 5 times a day and it only lasts a couple of seconds, but it's quite painful and unpleasant.I have a short vagina and my uterus is retroverted, I dunno if it's related?I will call my doctor to get another appointment but I'm sure it won't be until next month till I get to see her, so in the meantime, if anyone has any idea of what is causing the pain, please let me know!
View 1 RepliesA few days ago I tried the NuvaRing for the first time. The first two days were fine. Then yesterday I was at work and I got this horrible migraine and then I turned pale. I was nauseous and dizzy, it was so bad that I slightly fainted and my supervisor told me to go lay down. When I got home I had a low grade fever and abdominal pain. I took that damn ring out. Birth control has never done this to me. I have been in bed trying to sleep off the fevers. I think I may have an infection. I'll be calling the doctor Monday.

Before I had started this birth control I showed signs of a bacterial infection (washed my clothes in scented detergent by accident)... At this time I started my period which was at the end of the month. The last day of my period was on the first of last month which was march. I started my birth control I'll say on the 2nd, I kept it I'm for about a week or a week and a half if not 2 weeks. I decided to remove it because I was uncomfortable with the feeling.... After suddenly stopping, now today April 6th I have not seen my period. What are the possibilities of me being pregnant or could this been the after effects of the nuvaring for stopping suddenly..
View 1 RepliesI have absolutely horrific periods, my cramps are so bad I have to curl up in bed all day and take a muscle relaxant so I can make it through them. My doctor put me on Nuvaring and it's been giving me really intense headaches and nausea. I'm not a fan of being on medication of any sort but I can't live with my periods the way they are. I was wondering if putting Nuvaring in the week of my period (a few days before it starts) and keeping it in for a week (7-9 days) would prevent me from having a period. I realize this is not the intended use for it, but I would like to try it. Would this work to prevent me getting my period if I did it every month or would it start after I removed the ring after a week of use?
