I am looking for herbs that can cure prostatitis. Have any of you found a good remedy for this? I am not interested in homeopathy as such, as I had bad experienced with that in the past, but just plain herbs would be great. If anyone can post their information up here, that would be so useful!

View 3 RepliesI have been officially diagnosed with celiac disease and I have been gluten free for about 3 years now. However, I have been having on again off again inflammation of my prostate for the past few months. Some have suggested that there is a strong connection between celiac and prostatitis. I try pretty hard to avoid gluten, but could cross contamination cause flare ups? This last flare up has lasted a few days with no signs of letting up.
View 1 RepliesI am 36. I have chronic prostatitis for 18 years, that's half my life. My experience in the disease and treatment follows:
The pain is intense and crippling. I have to be in bed all the time. Intense spasms. Symptoms move from urethra to prostate, back,ass, testicles so when you feel you finished with a symptom there starts another. I also may have difficulty urinating and some time ejaculating. This condition has remained idle for a total of 6 years out of 18 and whenever I feel it is gone I have a really good flare up the very next day. Idle means I am not in pain but I get to wet my pants after urinating.. That is the closest I can have to normal life. My sex life is not good because I get erectile dysfunction when chronic prostatitis is active. When it moves to being idle there is a tendency for restoration of erectile capacity however it is clear to me that I do not respond to visual stimuli any more . Reason for ED is venous leakage. Location of pain is as such that I frequently check both my urinary system and intestines.
Findings: High bladder neck, non typical inflammation of colon, prostate has no infection
Medical checks so far: Urethroscopy, Colonoscopy. prostate, testicular, bladder, kidney ultrasounds. urine and prostate fluid cultures.
All cultures have come back negative. Bladder ultrasound shows some urine remaining after fully urinating.
Experience with medication: I have used antibiotics, a-blockers, mesalazine for my intestines and cortisone (buddy cole). For ED I have used Viagra and Cialis.
When I have flare ups NO medication works to control the pain. Or it may work for some weeks and then all of a sudden stop working. Medication for ED seems to be effective provided my symptoms are either gone or are not too intense. Symptoms come and go and it seems I cannot really control them.
Psychological impact: I am desperate and seriously considering suicide when I have flare ups
Social impact: No friends left. I do not have the energy to move out of bed
Fertility: Thankfully no problems whatsoever. However I am extremely worried whether my offspring will have the same problems as I do.
Just saw this product a couple days ago, trying to search for hemorrhoids treatment for myself. Anyone try this before? Is it good? Any other suggestions which product is better for hemorrhoids treatment?
View 5 RepliesI have never had my fertility tested by a doctor, so what I am telling you comes strictly from the fact that I have not got pregnant in a year, after having tried vigorously. From my ovulation tests I know that I do ovulate. I also know the problem is not with my husband, as he already has two kids from a previous marriage. Do you think herbs for fertility for women would help me?

As a person who has dealt with infertility myself and then finally conceived using IVF, I feel strongly about not scamming women who are desperate for a baby into buying herbs that are no good for them at all. I hate the way they make the food taste. It's still better than NO herbs of course, but the food has not been to my liking at all. What experience do you have with this?

I am not going to take herbs with my S/O treatment. I started treatment three days ago. Take both pills at the same time right after dinner - no side effects whatsoever or any unusual filling so far.
Let me know what is the reason to stay away completely from sun? Also if this is OK to take general vitamins and supplements during the S/O treatment?
This is my first time to post here, so please bare with me. I am 73, have severe back pain due to degenerative disc disease. I also have spondylolisthesis, and sciatica pain. I have seen a chiropractor for many years and have gotten steroid shots every 4 months for the past 2 years for the pain. None of this helps anymore. I have tried lots of herbal and alternative pain medications, none have helped. I got bronchitis last week and had to go to the Dr. She prescribed and antibiotic and Prednisone 10 Mg. for 6 days with a tapering off on the 6th day. I have not felt this good in a very long time. Very little pain. I felt like wonder woman. So I began searching for a natural steroid. I found that Dong Quai is noted for this. So I began it yesterday and am taking 4 pills per day at 250 mg./pill. I am also taking Curcumin2K and Dr. Al Sears Krill, 1 per day. How long do you think it will take before I know that this is working? I just cannot go back to the intense pain that I was in before the Prednisone.
View 1 RepliesI accumulated crazy belly fat around my upper ribs. I assume it's high cortisol because I was under a lot of stress and didn't eat a lot and lost weight. But I gained weight around my belly while losing the weight. I tried losing the belly fat, but it wouldn't budge. All I did was lose weight everywhere else. If I lose any more weight everywhere else I will be too thin. So... I tried rotated through different herbs to lower cortisol, like Rhodiola, Ashwagandha, Holy Basil. It made me have more anxiety. Then I tried Seriphos and it made me wayyyy too tired. I also took these herbs because I suffer from anxiety. I am in a vicious circle. Belly fat is stressing me out and keeping me anxious, so I take the herbs which are to help both, but I'm sensitive to them. I need to reduce the stress to lower the cortisol but the belly fat won't let me calm down. Any suggestions? Other vitamins?

Approximately 3 weeks post, was diagnosed with Prostatitis. I'm a 46 y/o male and have crohn's. The provider stated usually caused by bacteria, or often times is an unknown cause. All my blood work CBC, CMP etc came back within normal ranges. We did a gonorrhea and Chlamydia test via urine specimen and it was negative as well. Antibiotic, seemed to clear it up, though still seem to have mild flare now and then.
I googled the condition just to look for some additional information. I see that it is one of the most common urologic conditions for men and seems to hit the 40-50 year range most. I was concerned when I saw that HIV was listed. To this I am freaked out and have become very stressed. The provider wasn't even going to do the G&C tests until I asked if we should - and she didn't seem too concerned.
Question:
1) Is Prostatitis an indication of an HIV infection? An ARS symptom? Do I have a need to worry? (understanding a test is the way to rule out, which I will have done)
2) Can my test at this point in time be considered conclusive once completed?
I was diagnosed with prostatitis and have been on FloMax since then. I haven't had any pain or complications from prostatitis for 2 months. I need advice if decide to have anal sex with a partner(of course, using a condom), will it cause any problems or negatively harm my prostate? In other words, is it ok to have anal sex considering my current condition.

View 1 RepliesIn short, I (27) was diagnosed with bladder neck stenosis and underwent BNI surgery 4 months ago. I was unable to pee at all. My urinary symptoms are much improved and although my flow rate is still on the low side (15ml/sec), I can fully empty my bladder.
I was in the hospital for a week before doctors diagnosed the reason for my urinary retention. A CT scan showed I had mild prostatitis.
Now I feel I have recovered somewhat but about 2.5 weeks ago, pain associated with prostatitis returned. I went to a Urologist who told me to get a few tests done: CBC, Urine DR, bladder PVR and uroflowmetry. He also prescribed 10 days of antibiotics. The tests seem to be normal with the exception of 4-6 pus cells in my urine. I have not returned to the doctor since.
The pain went away in about a week but has returned. No fever, just a mild constant pain in by upper buttocks area which gets better in the morning. I also have occasional burning pain between my scrotum and anus. My penis feels sore as if I just ejaculated. Occasionally there is sharp pain in the shaft of my penis. I am also experiencing frequent nocturnal emissions. My libido is almost non-existent but when I try I am able to achieve a decent erection.
I have had these symptoms on and off for a few years but although annoying, I did nothing. My GP just tells me to take painkillers. I have read about the kinds of prostatitis and nobody has been able to tell me what exactly is wrong. I have taken 4 rounds of antibiotics (7-10 days) in the last 4 months. It may be of bacterial origin; I was diagnosed with epididymitis 6 months ago with prostatitis symptoms and it cleared up with Cipro.
