STDs :: 12 Days Long Enough Time Frame To Get An Accurate Test

32yo married male here, I foolishly got drunk over the weekend and gave and relieved unprotected oral sex off a female prostitute.
She was not at all high class and I'm extremely worried about my health. I have made an appointment for 12 days after this happened with a doctor for an std check.
I have 2 questions
1. Is this a long enough time frame to get an accurate test done.
2. If negative would it be safe to resume my married sex life?

if it Is possible to be more specific about the age range of a potentially menopausal woman? I am 52 now and think I have been and still am perimenopausal for at least 6 years and I am wondering if I would be compared to someone in a particular age group? Is it possible you can give me an idea of the bounds of a timeframe in which 50% of women will experience symptoms of the menopause? I have found statistics on when women can expect to complete the menopause but this isn’t the exact question I want to answer as I have still not been free of my periods for a year yet. I was recently found to have genital herpes in my vaginal and anal region. There are only two possible people i could have got it from, being my boyfriend and the guy before. My boyfriend has never had an outbreak, but we now know it can be transmitted even when undetected, and he's likely the transmitter. I would like to know if he is infected, so we can both prevent it spreading to him, and inform the other person that he needs to be tested.
So my questions are, how accurate is a blood test for hsv? And in what price range does the test cost to have done? Are there any other tests that don't require a person to have out breaks?

went for std checks .I'm married but work away from home and I have been doubtful even though my relationship with my husband is fine . I guess I can't trust men especially that I spend long times away for work . pcr blood test for hsv1 and hsv2 were negative . but the urine test was positive for hsv 2 . is pcr more accurate or the urine in this case ? I have no symptoms . i recall having one spot years ago that was tiny and went away in few days . do I have hsv2 bases on these findings ?

Does anyone have knowledge of the OraQuick at home test being accurate on children? I know the manufacturer states that the test is not for anyone under the age of 17. However, aren't antibodies in children the same as in adults? If antibodies for hiv were present in a child, wouldn't the test pick it up?

I had both protected vaginal sex and unprotected oral sex 2 days ago with an new partner and am having worries I may have contracted a STD. At the moment I have no symptoms but decided to schedule a STD check in the next couple of days to ensure its detection. Today (2 days after potential exposure) I took two Doxycycline hyclate 100mg pills that I was prescribed for acne. I'm worried this may adversely affect the test results.
Was this dose of antibiotics enough to mess with my results? What do you recommend? How risky is it to be infected by chlamydia or gonorehha through protected vaginal and unprotected oral sex?

HIV 1&2 including p24 antigen at 23 day 45 th day rapid test at 92 day and tri dot at 97th day. Did hiv RNA real time pcr test at 48th day....
So I want to know that results regarding hiv is conclusive or not or I need more testing??

3.5 years ago I had unprotected vaginal sex w a male of unknown status. I tested in a clinic at 89 days w oraquick and it was negative. I tested myself at 3 years twice w at home test. Is this conclusive? I worry that the 89 days was too soon and three years was too late for antibodies.

I've already wrote a post below but just wondering if anyone knows how long the genetic test takes. I had mine two weeks ago but have now been told it could be 4 - 6 weeks. My bloods came back showing that I am anemic so my doctor doubts I have HH anyway. I have all the symptons and now waiting to be referred to gastro for my third lot of investigation. Should I be concerned that I'm bleeding for so long after the first time I had sex?
I had sex exactly a week ago and did not bleed until the day after. The blood is bright red and I've been experiencing a lot of cramping too. I'm in the pill and we used a condom so I know I'm not pregnant and it's not time for me to have my period for another week or so.

Having recently been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia I changed Gp practices. My new GP just looked back at my notes and was in disgust. She said my estrogen testosterone and Insulin look like they have been low for a long time.. yet I've always been told my bloods are fine. She took more bloods and is going to have a look back at my notes. I'm just 30 and my symptoms have been going on 3 years. Extreme fatigue, constant pain/cramps in my legs hips and back, leg and arm weakness, my back completely goes, weight gain impossible to lose. A Lot of hair loss, anxiety, ibs, also had a breast infection 10 months. I'm now guessing I don't have fibro?
