Hormone And Heart Tests Normal But Nausea & Dizziness On Waking

Nov 3, 2015

My 40 year old sister in law has periods of dizziness and nausea on waking. Sometimes it can last for a few hours. The other day, she actually fainted. She has had hormone and heart tests which came back normal. She has young children so I'm concerned it could happen when she's alone with them. Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be? She's quite an anxious person so I wondered if it could be a nervous condition.

Vomiting After 1-2 Hours Eating Anything - ALL Tests Normal

My wife has been having an issue since Thanksgiving where she vomits about 1.5-2 hours after eating. It started happening once per week, then around Christmas it started happening twice a week and then two weeks ago it started happening after every meal, regardless of what she ate. She would vomit after something as simple as an english muffin. Our doctor ordered an ultrasound and everything came back normal (gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, liver). After that test, her doctor placed her on Zofran and that has controlled the vomiting as long as she takes it. If she stops taking it, she throws up after eating. Today she had an endoscopy and that came back normal as well. No hiatal hernia, no ulcers, no tumors and no pre-cancerous polyps. Slight signs of gastritis, but not sure that can cause these symptoms. They did take some samples to send out for biopsy to test for signs of infection or bacteria, but we won't hear back for 5 days. They also did a blood test and she is not pregnant and all of her bloodwork came back normal. She cannot go on like this. Other than the vomiting, she feels fine. She feels normal about 5 minutes after vomiting as well. Does anyone have any ideas?

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome :: With Normal Blood Tests ?

I have recently been told by the doctor that I may have PCOS. However I have a few questions around my recent blood test results and therefore was wondering if anyone could help answer some of my questions.

To give a little bit of information on my background, I have suffered from back and chest acne since I was at high school. I also got it on one cheek on my face which has left scars. My chest and face cleared up by the time I had finished high school but my back acne was still severe and until this day it is still really bad. ( I am now 21). Obviously over the years I have been seeing a dermatologist who has given me many forms of medication and creams. NOTHING WORKED. I have also recently been on Roaccutane. HOWEVER... I have had problems with my cervix and bleeding and never got on with the implant that I had to go on whilst taking Roaccutane because I wasn't allowed on the pill as it cause my cervix to produce abnormal cells and bleed. I therefore was sent for tests and scans and it was then that the hospital sent over a letter to my doctor who said they suspected I have PCOS because of the cysts on my ovaries. The doctor however did not read this until after I suggested to him that as the Roaccutane did not work, maybe there is something causing my acne that we are missing, and it was then that he finally discovered the letter about them suspecting I have PCOS. (Roaccutane apparently does not work with PCOS).

Anyway... this leads me on to my question. I have had the blood tests which was meant to be on the 21st day of my cycle but I have come on my period late and therefore was wondering if this will affect the results? My results came back normal. I haven't had my 3rd day cycle blood tests yet though however. Can your tests still be normal if you have PCOS?

Heart Disease :: Are Nuclear Stress Tests Truly Safe?

In the past, I have had chest pain walking up hills. So I told my doctor who said "you need a Nuclear Stress Test. We discussed it, it seemed fine to me and  I had one scheduled.

The procedure seemed relaxing enough, I was told to relax in the  Gamma Cam while the radiopharmaceutical they injected me with had a chance to circulate. Then the Gamma Cam did its thing for about 15 minutes and  I was on my way home. Easy? No problems.

But then I had some curiosity about radiation, so I got out my Geiger Counter. I held the probe near various parts of my body and was able to absolutely peg the meter on the highest setting - 50 mr/hr. I called the Nuclear Stress Test technician and cancelled part two of the study, the treadmill test. I then called my doctor, told him about the gamma-ray radiation levels and he convinced me to go ahead with part two of the test.

The next day, the Nuclear Stress Test. technician tried to calm my nerves by saying "Do you see me running away from you after giving you the radio pharmaceutical ?" and "I run when its Cat-scan time..."

Anyway I completed the day two test, went home and again was radiating well over 50 mr/hr. in Gamma radiation.Knowing the radio-pharmaceutical''s half life was 6 hours, I kept a journal and my radiation hit background level in about 48 hours.

But someone has to convince me that injecting me with a radiopharmaceutical which emits positrons which go and cancel themselves with the closest electron in an anti-matter reaction which emanates two gamma rays 180 degrees apart from each other is entirely safe...

Swollen Left Foot Due To Water Retention - Tests Normal

About two years ago my left foot became swollen. If I measure it around the top and under the arch it is 2-3 cms more in circumference than my right foot. I've been to the doctor a few times, had X-Rays, blood tests for all sort of things, including DVT. treatment for possible gout, etc, but the doctor hasn't come up with anything. His opinion the last time I saw him was that it's water retention and I'll just have to live with it. Obviously I'm not particularly happy with that.

Has anyone got any thoughts on it? Why would it only affect one foot, and can anyone suggest any self treatment that might be useful, or further options I can proceed with through the help service?

Thyroid Disorders :: Small Goiter And Nodule On The Left Side - Normal Tests

Just recently I was diagnosed with a small goiter & nodule on the left side. The doctor ordered all of the tests (TSH, T4 and TPO antibody level) and everything came back normal. The biopsy on the nodule is normal as well. Benign and no signs of cancer. My concern now is regarding my goiter & nodule. If my test results are all normal, what caused it to enlarge? What do I do to shrink it? My doctor will not give me anything because he said there's nothing wrong with my thyroid. The functions are normal. It just enlarges for a reason sometimes.

Dizziness And Nausea After Sex / Orgasm?

So for the past couple of days, I've been experiencing awful dizziness after masturbating. My knees kept buckling when I went to leave my room. This has rarely happened. But yesterday was worse, as I had had very high blood sugar levels from what I was eating. After climax, I felt sick, so I sat down for a minute, then ended up vomiting a small amount (probably whatever I had eaten last) onto the blanket I was using. Not only that, but I keep getting painful screeching in my ear (I run a lot of electronics in my room, could that be part of it?) afterward, and recent bad cramping while I'm in the middle of doing it. The orgasms haven't even been stronger than usual, either. And I know some of these might be self-explanatory, but I'd at least like to know how to treat them properly. And....juuuuust in case anyone asks, I have no chance of being pregnant; I'm 13 and a virgin. Just so you know.

Anxiety :: Dizziness, Palpitations And Nausea

I have been having horrible anxiety attacks recently. I feel like there is something new wrong with me every day.

I have been feeling so sick after I eat then I panic that I am going to be unwell. I have been feeling very sick recently.

I have been getting a pain in my right leg and convinced I have a blood clot as I got the pain before. Probably just twisted my knee or something but my mind goes crazy.

I have been getting palpitations which make me short of breath then dizzy. Sometimes I sweat but I think that comes from the panic of having a heart attack. After a day of feeling these symptoms, I then end up with a headache or tension in my neck, back or shoulders and I'm convinced it's all related and I am seriously ill. It's a vicious circle. Anxiety causes me to be a hypochondriac.

I'm hoping others get these symptoms and have turned out to be ok? It's all anxiety related?

It may be psychological but he says he feels better already.

Hip Replacement :: Exhaustion, Dizziness And Nausea On A Busy Day

I'm 9 weeks post TRHR and although I'm back driving, doing most regular activities I'm getting wiped out in the evenings.

It's not just fatigue. It's like I'm going to pass out and I feel very nauseous.

I was just wondering if this was normal or if maybe I am anaemic. I was anaemic after surgery but I was in a supplement and I had recovered.

Basically I'm wondering if it's due to me overdoing things prof maybe I should get my bloods checked.

Alternative Therapies :: Constant Headache / Dizziness And Nausea

I am mildly overweight, have low end of normal blood pressure.  I exercise approximately 5 days a week and walk about 1.5-3 miles a day during work hours --otherwise I have a desk job. I eat primarily whole grains and foods, whole goats milk, and only drink 1-2 times a week and typically not heavily.

I've had a constant headache since September 20, 2015. It started in the middle of the night and increased in severity throughout that month. The pain is at the front of my head varies from a 2-9 typically getting worse throughout the day and into the evening.  Other symptoms include dizziness and nausea, lightheadedness-- sometimes extreme and debilitating.

After 1 month, I went to the doctor who had a MRI done, several blood tests, a nerve block, a hospital DHE treatment, every painkiller and triptan/migraine drug in the book. I went on a course of Phenergan and diclofenac, and also had IV antibiotic in the hospital. I started taking magnesium supplements. I assessed the stressful elements of my life (at home and at work), began meditating, and lowered my overall stress. I did yoga and stretched did neck exercises which both reduced some of the pain. Nothing worked, and they recommended Topamax, but as nothing made a dent before, I decided to question their diagnosis of intractable migraine.

Since then, I had my Nexplanon implant removed (received it July 11th, 2015, removed it November 22, 2015). And started acupuncture. The acupuncture achieved some considerable relief, but after a month of treatment twice a week, I went on a business trip and took charcoal several times during the trip to work with a hangover (I don't drink much). During the end of the trip and the 5 days following it, I didn't have a headache. At the time, I concluded that the acupuncture had worked.

After the headache returned, I started to go through possibilities and took myself off of gluten. After a week, no change in headache. Then I started taking charcoal again after a eureka moment and then went 2 weeks without a headache. Yesterday I forgot to take my charcoal for 28 hours and my headache returned. I'm back on the stuff, and now feel like I'm narrowing in on finding the culprit!
