With my knee pain it hurts the most when I lay down with leg straight out, then it starts to stiffen and pain runs down to the top of my foot up my hip, butt bone from my knee cap. What is my diagnostic and whats the worst condition this can cause if not treated or taken care of.? Please I need advise. I live with a severe ,chronic pain. Even ibuprofen and tramadol pain meds.does not ease the pain..
View 3 RepliesI went through a 30 day holter study due to what I thought were skipped heart beats. Luckily I had a couple of episodes caught on the holter and they were determined to be PACs. I've lived with them for a year and always just dealt with them. No biggie. But I fainted and had a seizure back in September so it prompted me to have everything checked out... anyway what I want to ask is does anyone else have severe runs of PACs? I'll get them for several minutes at times, and they'll come in irregular intervals... Like I'll get one on top of another, and then it'll switch to every 3rd beat, then every 4th beat, then back to every other beat... This usually only happens when my heart rate increases to above 120 and it stops when my pulse settles back down. I especially get them in a hot shower, or sometimes after a big meal. And I get them when I exercise and really bad during exercise recovery. I'm concerned about Afib.

View 5 RepliesI have had lower back pain for years. It always gets worse when lying down for long periods or bending over for long periods. I've also had sciatic pain in my left leg for years. It comes and goes. Recently I have started to get the same pain in my right leg. The sciatic pain as gotten severe. I also have some other new symptoms. One new symptom is searing pain in my knee sometimes when I'm standing or when I bend my leg all the way in. The other is sharp pain in my pelvic area. Are these connected? Can you please possibly tell me what is going on? The only notable health history I have is ovarian cysts.
View 1 RepliesI am 5 weeks post opp of TKR, am doing ok but a question to you all, this morning i had the worst pain since my opp, as i was sat and tried to turn, this pain like a stabbing pain came on ,at the outside of my tkr knee, i couldn't bend or straighten it for a abit till the pain eased off. has anyone else had this or any one no what it could be, similar pain has been there since the start but no way as bad , just thought the pain was part of the recovery.
View 44 RepliesI've been dealing with pain off and on in my low back wrapping around my hip bone on my left side. I have some burning in the back of my thigh and swelling of my leg.
This pain is excruciating when it comes on...sometimes it is manageable with meds and heat and other times I've landed in the ER with full on episodes of vomiting and pain off the charts.
I have had ovarian cysts and have been checked for those, negative. No kidney stones or masses showing in an abdominal CT. I did have SI Joint damage after an MVA years ago.
Is this possible this is SI joint pain? I was on long acting pain meds for years, only recently off them and that's when I've noticed an increase in pain. Perhaps the meds were masking the issue?
I am 25 year old IT engineer facing knee pain along with other spine problems. I have been diagnosed as cervical spondylosis around 8 month back so i was taking physio therapy session since then. During those session i was getting some pain in my right leg knee which i ignored as i have bigger problem to be taken care of. Over the time it increased and since 2 month i am feeling pain while exercising for cervical and when i walk (sometime unbearable ) so I started physio therapy for that too but not getting satisfactory results. In addition to that I was swimming for subsiding my neck , left hand and knee pain but unluckly i got pain in my lower back pain due to swimming which was getting increasing day by day so i started physio therapy for that. I am doing physio therapy for neck , left hand, back and knee. I am very dishearten as suffering from neck , left hand pain with lower back pain and that extra pain has added. Could someone please let me know whether i will be get recovered from that painful life ever?
View 1 Repliesi got pleurisy through having flu, which was diagnosed last friday. i was given antibiotics. i only went to the doctors because i'd had the flu for two weeks, i only had a sharp pain in my back. i've nearly finished the antibiotics but the pain has got a lot worse around my back, neck and tummy i wonder how long this will last. i am taking ibuprofen but it's not doing much.

View 1 RepliesI've been having a hard time with neck pain, I'm guessing in my C1-C2 region. I say this because I can literally hear my vertebrates grinding together followed by a sharp pain that runs all the way to my temple and the top of my head, which in turn is causing severe migraines and fatigue. It's gotten to the point where I'll be lucky if one migraine only lasts 3 days. After it goes away, it returns 3-4 days later. It's gotten extremely worse over the past month. I've tried a few physical therapy exercises the relieve the tension but I've found little to no relief. I'm baffled because I'm only 23. Being this young shouldn't suggest long term damage, but the pain tells me otherwise. Any advice or information on some form of release would be more appreciated than anything.
View 3 RepliesDoes anyone suffer with the same severe low back, thigh and groin pain as I have been for the past seventeen months following my radical prostatectomy. I am fine for the first twenty minutes of walking or general activity before the pains starts and increases in intensity if I don't stop. I have had M.R.I's and scans. The spinal consultant said it is caused by a lymphocele which I have had drained once, but urology don't think this is the cause. Can anyone offer any suggestions please. The nerve pain can get unbearable.
View 3 RepliesSo I dislocated my knee in January of this year. I was given a device that isolates my knee cap and hold it in place. I wore the device off and on over the year whenever my knee would feel sort of irregular. I worked out routinely to help strengthen my knee, it helped the pain somewhat, but mostly just made me feel better about the way I looked, and kept me healthy. I haven't worked out since some time before Thanksgiving. Starting this week i've started to feel this new akward feeling behind my kneecap, sort of like the ligament behind my knee cap is tightening, sort of similar to how it felt when I dislocated my knee, but not exactly the same. I get the pain after fully bending my knee, for example when I am on my knees doing my job stocking shelves at work, when I stand to my feet I can usually feel the pain. I try doing a couple of different stretches when to make the feeling go away a bit, but it comes back, and then it eventually goes away again.
My knee "pops" (makes a loud popping noise and pressure) pretty regularly now but when I get off of work and off of my knees I experience the discomfort much less. I want to start exercising again on Monday, but I am scared I might dislocate again. I will try using the knee cap device again tomorrow, but I feel as though whenever I use the device, it makes my knee feel like jello the next day, and make me want to use the device again, even though I was advised by my doctor that I should not need to use it regularly. ....
I have been using Lansoprazole for nearly 4 years, I am on 30mg daily, it works great, and I rarely get heartburn these days.
However I have for the past year been experiencing severe lower back pain, pins and needles, strong headaches and more recently dry mouth and dizzy blurred vision.
I stopped taking the Lansoprazole for couple of days, to see if side effects would go away, but the heartburn came back with a vengeance.
So I am having to choose between which is more unbearable, back pain etc. or the heartburn.
I have chosen at the moment to go back on lansoprazole, but if anyone knows of an alternative that works as well, but with no side effects, let me know.
Has anyone ever had ra pains in their neck and up their head.

I woke up this morning with a stinging pain in the back of my left knee and I read that this might be a symptom of Deep Vein Thrombosis and it has scared me. I had blood tests done a month ago and they all came back clear. I don't sit too long, don't travel on planes and have no prior family history of clots if that helps.

I have scoliosis in the lower back and just started showing in my belly area (well it just appeared one morning lol) but I've noticed my back and everything has been really sore.

View 4 RepliesTest show that I have a enlarged kidney, I have protien in my urine, severe back pain to the right side, strong smelly urine, blood pressure very high now on 10mg blood pressure tablets, Doctors have done tests on my kidneys and say the test shows the kidneys are functioning normally so I have not to go back to hospital for six months.
View 3 RepliesOn August, I over-stretched a ligament on my knee while playing soccer and was on crutches for a month and half. Afterwards, everything was fine and my knee felt normal. It's now April and it is starting to hurt again. Specifically the back of my knee. I didn't have to have any surgery before. Would I need to now? I don't know what to do.
View 2 RepliesAbout 2 week's ago I took 2 perc within a night and the next day I got sick, I thought from the pills, but than I was nauseous and have been for the most part ever since. My left side mid to lower back started hurting approx a week ago and it's gotten much worse last night and now I'm having pain in my upper right abdomen as if the pain moved. I'm on muscle relaxers for my back already but it's not affecting/helping my new pain though and the new pain doesn't feel the same. I was just curious if anyone had any idea what it might be, some say kidneys but does that pain or can it move from my back to my abdomen?
