I have a 2014 Avalon Hybrid XLE Touring. The 2 console power outlets stopped working. If it may be a blown fuse how do I get the cover off the fuse box under the dash, just pry it off? I hate to break it.

View 4 RepliesI have a 2007 with 68k miles, and both the power outlet under the radio area-passenger side and the one in the console just stopped working (I use them to power my GPS and to charge my iPhone and iPad). From poking around this site, I think this could be because of blown fuses, but it seems strange that both fuses would go at the same time.
View 7 RepliesI was looking into the fuse box layouts and was trying to identify which one is for the 12v power outlets in the front area under the radio and the outlet in the arm rest. I believe its a 30 - 40 A fuse but need to identify exactly which one to replace since the outlets have stopped working.

View 7 RepliesI plugged in a 12V-to-AC converter (that I use to power my laptop) into the 12V outlet in the dash. The green power indicator led came on for about 1/2 a second and then went out. Thinking the issues was with the converter, I plugged my cell phone charger back into the outlet, only to find that it also wouldn't work (It had been working fine all day). I then tried it in each of the other outlets (back of the center console/trunk) with the same results. I figured it was a blown fuse, even though I'd never had an issue with the converter before. I look in the owner's manual to see which of the three locations held the fuse. It indicated that it was the one on the passenger end of the dash.
Once I had removed the panel, I went to the slot indicated in the manual only to find that there was no fuse at all! Of course, I double-checked the manual, and then proceeded to find the same thing with the fuses for the other two outlets. It doesn't appear like the slots are even set up for a fuse, as there's only metal on one side of the slot.
Thinking that the manual could just be wrong, I checked each and every fuse in all three panels. All looked fine. Still, none of the outlets are getting power.
Both front seat heaters are not working on my 2009 Avalon XLS. The center console lights do not illuminate. I presume it's not the fuse because according to the owners manual the 7.5A fuse also controls dash light, power outlet and flashers and they all work. Could it be another fuse, or something else? I can use a voltmeter

The fuse is under the hood or under the dash-board?

I am pretty exited about the new car. I just have questions about the hybrid battery.
I got the car on Saturday and we drove about 40 miles to get home. The car had 12 miles so it's pretty low. The battery was low when we got the car so the engine charged it up a bit. By the time we got home, the hybrid battery never got to fully charge.
Hence my first questions.
What are the perfect conditions to fully charge the battery?
How much time would it take to fully charge it?
Then, my next question.
I was pretty sure that when we parked the car on Saturday night and Sunday, the battery charge level was pretty high. At least half way.
However, when i got to use the car in the morning, the battery level was at 2 bars to my surprise.
Is the battery supposed to deplete like that?
My overhead with temp, compass and mpg stopped working.

I have searched on google and have found its very common on the older trucks to have a wire splice issue i was wondering if that applies to the 2011 or if there is any other common power seat issues.

How can you tell if the pump or the rack and pinion is bad. My reservoir full of fluid. When I start the truck turn the wheels there's no whining sound. Should the fluid in the reservoir be flowing?

View 1 RepliesHave an '07 ES350 non-ML audio system with navi. When out to the car today and found out the radio turned on when the car started but most of the audio control buttons on the center console no longer work. They worked fine the previous day. Here is a brief list of what does and does not work.
Power/volume : pushing it in to turn the radio on/off no longer work but rotating it does increase/decrease the volume
Tune/file : works fine
All other audio control buttons on the center dash for cd/am/fm/track control no longer work.
Sound from the speakers is fine.
The mode selector on the wheel works fine.
Navigation works fine.
As it is now, I am unable to turn the radio off since the power only responds to volume control. I am able to switch between radio and cd using the mode button on the wheel and the sound is fine. Could this be a fuse issue perhaps?
I have the OEM remote starter. All of a sudden it stopped working. I hit the lock button 3 times like I always did. I get the confirmation tone but it does not do anything after that.
How I can fix it?
