Just replace both ebrake cables, and rear brakes are all new including wheel cylinders and drums. No matter how much i pull up on the handle, the wheels wont lock up, and they should drag the wheels, but nothing. Something wrong? Barely stops car when put in drive too. Seems like my other accent would drag the wheels all over the place.

Since yesterday, My tail lamp and Third Brake light is still switched on even I turn off the light & I notice that my Auto door lock is not functioning even I press the Brake Pedal. I tried to disconnect the battery & the Fuse and place it back but it doesn't works. Currently, I just pull out the fuse.

What I am doing wrong, aside from leaving my 10 year old in charge of closing the trunk??

If the car sits a day, no problem. If it sits a few days, then when releasing the brake and trying to move, the car lurches a bit. The longer it sits, the worse it seems.
Is this the back drums, as the dealer tells us, or is something else wrong?

I've tried reaching down with a pliers to grasp where the handle was connected and pull up but I can't get it to work. How to fix this?
View 1 RepliesI broke my emergency brake cable on my 2000 chevy silverado. It broke before the cable splits to two wires to go to the two rear tires. I would like to know if this is something I can handle myself. My biggest question is how I get access where the wire attaches to the pedal itself.
View 2 RepliesBasically what the title says, my brothers 2002 accent front doors won't open from the inside when you pull on the handle, no matter how many times, both sides before it was just the rear doors doing this, and I can't seem to find the child safety switch, but now the same thing is happening on the front doors, and since everything is electric this is pretty bad if the electrical system dies and you have to get out of the car, what the heck is going on?

View 13 RepliesSeveral months ago I noticed that the fuel door switch on my '09 Sonata started to work worse and worse... would take two, three, four hits before the lid opened. Fast forward to now. While the door opens perfectly fine with the manual release (in trunk), the button no longer works no matter how many times I press it. When depressed, no noise is noticeable in the fuel door area. What the root cause is and what the fix should be? Is this something only a dealer can properly diagnose? The trunk release button still works fine both on the remote and in the car.
View 5 RepliesOver the past month or so, my 2012 Prius Three is being strange. I always keep my key fob inside my purse. Sometimes I have to pull the door handle a few times before it will unlock. Other times it will say key not detected when I try to start the car. I will have to try a few times before it will start. Or the strangest thing is, sometimes when I pull over before my husband and I get home, and when he gets out of the car (I have NOT turned it off) it will display the message, key not detected.
The thing is, he does not carry a fob with him, the only key is in my purse, which is inside the car with me. I thought maybe it maybe it was the key fob so I swapped out the fob I was using with the 2nd one we have and it is still happening.
So when I get out oft Mazda cx9 I lock the doors and then check if the doors are locked by pulling the door handle. And then the windows roll down by themselves. It freaks me out because what if someone else comes up to the car and is able to open the window? So I went to the car repairman and they say nothing is wrong and it's not possible to make the window roll down from the outside. What am I supposed to do?

Door is unlocked and opened fine from inside.. what could this be, and is it something I can repair fairly easily, or might it be under warranty as I have the warranty still..this a common problem, seems unusual to me...

The handle lifts a lot and just before the handle seems like it won't pivot or lift any more the door finally unlatches. I am sure something is simply wearing out, but where would be the most likely suspect?
View 2 RepliesI'm a new prius owner. I noticed that when I'm driving and the doors are LOCKED the door will open if I pull the handle. Only the drive and passenger side opens when LOCKED in drive mode. The back two door DOES NOT open when LOCKED in drive mode. Is this normal?
