I have a 2010 base blue. I have noticed a creaking noise somewhere in the front end with windows up when you turn the wheels left or right. It is barely noticeable but there none the less. I have tried pinpointing it and it seems to be outside the cabin but not at the wheels.
View 13 RepliesI have some noise coming from the front suspension. It is a popping/sorta creaking noise. I hear it mostly when turning, but sometimes while going straight. It is not a grinding sound, nor is it a high pitched sound. I took it to my mechanic, but they drove it and could not replicate the noise. They inspected the front end, and said everything looked fine. But I still hear the noise. The car has a little over 40k miles on it. No problems with the tires...no irregular wear, and no wandering. I looked at the front end, and didn't find anything obvious. I cannot replicate the noise just by pushing on the fenders up and down.
View 64 RepliesMy brake pedal is making a creaking noise when depressed and can also be heard when letting off the pedal. The noise is not coming from the brakes themselves (front/back are like new) but the pedal area or somewhere behind it. This noise doesn't start until I've driven the car for a little while. The brakes work fine for the most part but sometimes feel a bit spongy if making a sudden or hard stop. The fluid levels are fine.
I'm taking it in on Friday and hoping that the brakes just need to be bled a little or maybe the pedal just needs lube, but I'm worried it might be the booster or master cylinder---if it is one of these?
My B6 has 65k miles and started to experience this front suspension issue couple of months ago.
View 4 RepliesWhen coming to a stop and turning the wheels to the left, there is a creaking noise from the right front strut. This is also the strut that has an ever so small clunking noise when going over small bumps at low speeds. If I turn left at low speeds but don't apply the brakes, there is no creaking sound.
Car has 42,000 miles, original Michelins and original front brakes (50% pad left), and original struts!
My front passenger wheel began creaking when driving over uneven surfaces after work was done on 12/29/14 to replace the wheel bearing, stud, and nut for the right front. I've been dealing with this noise for 1.5 years, but to my luck, when I take a test drive with a mechanic, it does not reveal itself, so they will not take a detailed look at it and open it up. It is more prominent in cold weather. Pushing down on the front of the car for a strut test does not produce the noise.

View 1 RepliesFront end noise in 2006 Sonatas? I would refer to this as a creaking noise heard inside the vehicle while going slower...such as in parking lots and neighborhood driving. Sounds to be from the strut area to me. Going to try to take into dealership next week. Seems like right after i got the rear suspension noise fixed (Replaced struts) then i hear the front end making noise.
View 36 RepliesI have a lot of wind noise in my 2 front windows when driving highway speeds, no water leaks. I cannot find where it is coming from either, I assume it is either air rushing over the mirrors or thin glass. Sometimes it is worse than others, not sure if cross winds etc. Is that common in 2009 Sonata. My old 2003 Malibu, much quieter but mirrors were slightly more rounded if I remember.
View 12 RepliesSo I've noticed in the past 2-3 weeks when I come to a stop I here a creaking sound coming from the Front end, I gotta get someone to stand outside while I stop just to clarify where the creaking is coming from? It only happened when I push down the brakes a little more aggressively to come to a quicker stop, not it's a sound that I shouldn't be hearing that's for sure.

View 4 RepliesI've got some front end noise in my 09 accent gls. Its the passenger side when it goes over bumps. I've seen online it may be the sway bar end linkage? I don't have air tools or do too much work myself, I just do the typical stuff on my own, oil changes, brake replacement, stuff like that...how hard is this job?
View 11 RepliesMy 2006 hyundai accent makes a humming noise while driving. it gets louder the faster i accelerate. I have checked the wheel bearing but they appear to be fine. i jacked the car up and tested the wheel by pulling and pushing back and forth at the 12 o' clock position and etc. no give in either wheel. i also held the spring and spun both wheels with no vibration. I also rotated tires back to front. when i did this noise seemed to be lower.But still there. I did hit a fallen sign on the highway going 70 mph. I am wondering if this may have damaged my tires or if it still could be wheel bearing. and there is no vibration in steering wheel or while driving. just annoying humming.
View 1 RepliesI've got a strange noise coming from the front brakes. It's not the wear indicator, and it's not a worn out rotor.
When I apply the brakes firmly, they work great. No noise, good stopping power, the pedal is nice and firm. As soon as I let off the pedal, there's a little chirping noise, like a tiny bird in my wheels... I've looked at the pads and rotors, and there's no obvious sign of damage or wear.
My guess is it's the caliper pins or piston making the noise. I'm happy to take it apart and lube it, but what kind of lube is specified for this? Moly grease? Lithium grease? Some kind of oil? And do I apply it only to the caliper pins, or to the piston as well?
I looked on HMA service, but I can't seem to find anything to address this specific problem.
Turning my steering wheel left or right, especially when parked, there's a very noticeable creaking. This happens as well when I am going over bumps in a parking lot or somewhere at a low speed. The car itself turns fine, not sticking or power steering loss. So I am not quite sure whats going on here.. At 71k miles 2010.
View 3 RepliesOn releasing the clutch pedal, a creaking noise can be heard, which:
- sounds and feels like a rusty spring being unloaded
- occurs for the entire range of pedal travel, but worse near the bottom
- is louder outside the car than inside
- happens not only when driving, but also when stationary with the engine off
I don't think anything is wrong with the clutch itself, or any bearings, or major components... It just feels like something needs to be lubed. I've lubed the spring above the pedal inside the car, with no real effect.
Not so much hitting pot holes but hitting dips in road I get a noise up front like hard plastic cracked and hitting edges, had the front end checked all fine and he changed the sway bar links said sloppy, still noise, I went under found the front pipe bracket broken so I clamped that, still noise-could it be the strut boot? Doesn't seem to be the shock bushing they seem tight but can not really see them and the upper shock part seems secure. 2011 accent 60k miles. Where I could look next? The plastic around the wheel well is cracked but I don't think all that noise is coming from that, but the next warm dry day I will try to snug that up.

First one I have a creaking in my front suspension when I go over bumps if I'm doing 50+mph it isn't heard anything slower you can hear it especially over speed bumps in parking lots. What could that be exactly? And also I'm looking to upgrade my headunit already got a single din but I'm wanting to replace the factory subwoofer. Can I replace it with a low power 8" aftermarket sub for better sound?

It has ST coilovers already and read a post from the previous owner here and he said the noise started after the install and he was told ot was the upper mounts??? Does this sound correct?? Also i noticed it when parked and just turning the wheel back and forth, popped the hood and had my son turn it and it did sound like it was coming from the upper strut area....

View 10 RepliesI am trying to track down a creaking sound in the front end. Happens when turning mainly left but occasionally right or slow speed turning the steering wheel. I've rebuilt the front end (not because of the creak) ball joints, tie rod ends both inner and outer, sway bar bushings, power steering pump, shocks, steering shock etc. what's left? All parts have been greased good but still can't find it.
