Tires are fine and that little light with the "!" didn't come on with it? Why is that? And it won't light up when the car is turned on just like the check engine light could that mean I really do have a bad ecu?

View 17 RepliesLast week during a cold spell in New Orleans the TPMS light went on in my 2010 Hyundai Accent. I checked all of the tires, 2 were slightly low and I added air. However, the light is still on and it has been several days.
View 3 RepliesThursday driving home from work, the thing started dinging and all sorts of lights started flashing at me. I looked in the manual and (finally) found that it is the TPMS. The orange light on the left side blinks for 1 minute and then stays on steady. I also see "Check System" in the display under the speedometer and there is a red light with an explanation point (!) on the right side. Checked all tire pressure. All were at 30 PSI. Checked spare, it was good. Manual says if it blinks and stays steady, contact your dealer. Called...they can't look at it until Feb. 12. I drive 40 miles a day on average. Not a lot, but by 2/12 that is several hundred miles. what could be wrong and if i should still be driving this car?
View 14 RepliesToday I spent an eventful day at the dealership getting oil changes on my IS300 and my GS430. After leaving with my gs430, my Tpms light came on. So I went back to the dealer and they ran a check to confirm it is the Tpms. My service guy didn't tell me which tire went out but I'm planning on getting rims in a couple of months. Should I just order order a new set of tpm sensors or just find out which needs to be replaced and replace it

View 6 RepliesSo I recently got an '11 GS350 awd. No issues with the TPMS until today. In anticipation of next winter I went out and got a set of winter wheels with tpms. Yesterday I decided to hook up my new Techstream and program the second set of sensor IDs. When my wife drove the car today the tpms light came on flashing. I thought that meant that one or more senders was bad. Techstream showed four unique pressure readings for set 1 but had an error code for a bad sensor. Holding the learn button under the dash does nothing.
View 5 RepliesSo I was running stock Lexus 17' rims on my 2008 c350 RWD. The time came to replace the tires and I thought- instead of shelling out hundreds of dollars, why not use my brother's set for free (his stock 17' rims from his 2006 GS300 RWD were just lying in the garage taking up space). They were also 17's. So, I swapped all 4 out, stock rims included. Drove around for a bit and noticed the TPMS warning light came on.
Not the low pressure light, but the actual warning light. This happens every day. The car is fine driving the first 15-20 miles but after that, the light always eventually goes on..then it's magically reset when I start the car the next day.
I had a new wheel mounted by my local Mavis. They said they were unable to save the sensor valve from the old rim and sold me a new sensor. I received the car with the (S) low pressure light lit, Mavis saying that the car would reset after a few miles and if it didn't to return. Well, that light went out but the "TPMS" light then lit up and would not go out. I returned several days later and they checked with their tool and confirmed that the sensor they just installed was defective. They then replaced the sensor now telling me that the new sensor worked, they checked it and "activated" it. However, the TPMS light was still lit. They now said it "should reset". It has not.
View 2 RepliesOk I have looked the site over and have a question. My 2009 Azera Limited has a ghost in it. Totally randomly the TPMS (letters) light just comes on and stays on just as randomly. I took it in and the tech said there were several self clearing codes but non specific. He asked me if I had a air freshener plugged in... I looked at him like he needed a drug testing. He went on to explain he had another customer who had one and every time he plugged it in the TPMS would light and when he unplugged it it would go away.
Nothing is plugged in or sometimes something is plugged in and it makes no difference! That light comes on whenever it wants and it is driving me batty!

A few days ago, I got new tires on the front. The tire pressure light came on the next day. The front left tire seemed to be losing air. I brought it to the tire place.. They could find no leaking anywhere, although the tire had lost 5 pounds of pressure. The mechanic said the leak could be due to the TPM sensor? (He said, when he was checking the air pressure, the core stuck? ) Can a faulty TPM sensor cause air to leak out of a tire??
If that TPM sensor is indeed broken -- is the Tire place responsible?? --because this seemed to break right when they put new tires on my car.
Just a little PSA, if your TPMS light shows up, and all the tires (including the spare) are at the proper psi, check the button below the glove box. As long as the warning light is solid, its likely someone pushed the button. I almost paid $120 in diagnostic fee and $150 for a new sensor at the dealer because for some reason, no one knew about this button, or didn't want to tell me.
View 5 RepliesA month ago my battery light was coming on and disappeared a few hours later and I thought it was the oem battery. I changed the battery as alternator seems working fine based on scangage that i have. After sometime light sometimes comes on again and disappear. I like to fix this as this is annoying to see on the dashboard. Where else do i need to look. Checked connections they are tight and clean. Only aftermarket stuff i have is the fog light. Not sure a loose connection somewhere may cause this?

View 11 RepliesSo....the trunk light on my 09 GLS is not turning on. It was intermittent for a while..now its just gone. I checked the bulb and it works. I got the meter out and tested everything. It seems something in the trunk latch is the switch for the ground to turn on the light.
