I have 2009 Toyota Avalon Limited, the switch on the master power switch that operate the passenger side won't work. Can the master switch be repaired? This is a power window switch.
View 8 RepliesI am sure this is pure coincidence but we had to have a new battery put in my wife's '09 Avalon. Later in the day we noticed that the front window switch for the passenger window on the drivers side, does not work. The one on the passenger door works fine so it's not the motor. How difficult are these to replace? BTW, the window lock switch is NOT on.
View 13 RepliesI can fully operate driver's side window with the master control located in the driver's side door. When I push the button to lower the passenger's windows or any of the rear windows nothing happens. The front passenger and rear passenger can fully operate the windows with the switch located in each door. Is there a setting that is preventing me from controlling the other 3 windows?.
View 14 RepliesReplaced the battery on my 07 the other day, and subsequently discovered my passenger side power window would not open or close from driver side control switch. Initially thought the worse of course, that I needed a new motor for the passenger side window. Then I tried the passenger side window switch and the window worked fine.
So now, I think that the switch for the passenger side window (on the driver's side) is bad, and I will need to replace the whole switch control module. Did a search and found the root cause and solution to the problem. Apparently, after replacing a battery, I needed to RESET the passenger side switch from the passenger side, by HOLDING the switch approx. 3 seconds after raising and lowering the window two times.
We had 3 windows stop working but the drivers window locks and mirror adj all work. the 3 passenger windows don't work on the doors or the master switch. just bought a new master switch thinking it was the lock out on the master switch, well no change!! windows still don't work ?
View 3 RepliesAn attachment point, on the front lower frame, broke, allowing the window to drop. I had the frame welded and put it all back together. The window went up and fine. The next time I tried to lower the windows, neither side would work. I checked the fuses. They were all good. I changed out the driver's side master control switch because some of the button contacts were corroded. This did not work. The window lock button is on the off position and the power door locks, which are on the master control switch, work fine. Could it be the relay?
View 1 Replies08 RX 350. Just changed battery. New Bosch battery. Issue: After battery change, passenger windows don't work from the driver's master window switch cluster. I'm assuming this is the result of some sort of memory being wiped out during the battery change. Or perhaps a blown fuse during power up while connecting the new battery.

I replaced the master switch on the driver side and it still does not work. I have checked the fuses--Side, below and under the hood and have even found inline fuses below--all were good. Could the dealer have to program my new switch? I do not have child safety locks.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2005 Avalon Limited. Just recently when I have the air turn on, it blows warm/hot air on the drivers side where the passenger side is cold as ice??? What gives??? I have the dual zone feature, and the drivers site is warm weather its on dual zone or regular.

View 10 RepliesI did a search but found nothing on a coolant leak. My 07 (57K) has developed a leak on the passengers side of the engine. Not sure if its the water pump (not making noise) or the themostat housing as a mechanic who took a very quick look at it suggested. How hard it is to get to the thermostat housing? Anything else have to come off? I don't have a FSM.

I had some work done on a door at a body shop, battery died, when I got car back all the switches on the master control were flashing, and the right rear door that was taken off and worked on,but all windows worked, now the swiches dont flash but the master control wont work with rear passenger door. I read you have to program all window switched again, I tried that in the online description here but its not working?
View 1 Replies2007 Gen 111, with 148000 miles. Recently I notice the master warning light coming on occasionally when I am braking. I do not have to be braking hard but it seems to show up more often with the engine brake on. Read out on the top of the screen reads "Problem". I am not finding much of anything in the book on this. It did this for a few times a few thousand miles ago and then did not do it for awhile and now it does it again occasionally, but more often. IF it gets bad I'll take it in but otherwise I figure on waiting until the 150K maintenance.
View 4 RepliesHistory - So my A/C was going out about 6 months ago. It would come in and out with cold air until eventually it just stopped all cold air and was only hot. Then the control knobs broke. I took it in and they told me I had to replace the control unit and that would fix all the issues. Well I got it back and the A/C was still blowing hot air (even though the knobs were now working).
So I took it back in and they said they couldn't find anything wrong and it must be this hairline crack that was leaking freon. they said they couldn't find the crack but loaded it up with freon and said i would have to 'wait it out' could be years could be a few weeks, they just didn't know. well, it worked for awhile but here i am in 102 degree heat and when I turn on the A/C in the really hot car the passenger side quickly blows cold air and the driver side takes about 20 minutes before it finally gets cold. What gives? I do not have dual temperature controls.
On my sister's 2009 avalon unlimited, the remote will only unlock the rear drivers side door. If the door handle is grasped to unlock the doors, only the rear drivers side door unlocks. On the inside of the car, the drivers side door unlock switch (master switch) does nothing. The passengers side door unlock switch only unlocks the rear drivers side door. The bottom line is that only the rear drivers side door locks and unlocks using the remote or passenger side door unlock button on the inside of the vehicle.
