I can fully operate driver's side window with the master control located in the driver's side door. When I push the button to lower the passenger's windows or any of the rear windows nothing happens. The front passenger and rear passenger can fully operate the windows with the switch located in each door. Is there a setting that is preventing me from controlling the other 3 windows?.
View 14 RepliesPassengers windows won't roll down from driver side master controls. If I go on singulars doors all windows roll down/up perfectly. From master control drivers position I can only roll down/up my window.
I have already reset all windows... sun roof too. Tried to disconnect battery 10 minutes and then reset all windows another time.
If I use the command key for roll down/up all windows together the car roll down/up only drivers window and sun roof.
I have a 2004 lexus rx 300.
Lately I've been having issues with my windows, door locks and power mirrors not working. Here are the symptoms;
What works;
Driver window Sunroof Key fob unlock/lock (Also all of the doors unlock when I open the door)
What does NOT work;
All passenger windows (they were working intermittently before but now none of them work) Door locks from any panel (Sometimes I can unlock the doors but can never lock them) Side view mirror controls
Seems like it could be a faulty ecu. Plan on removing the door this weekend to inspect everything.
I have 2009 Toyota Avalon Limited, the switch on the master power switch that operate the passenger side won't work. Can the master switch be repaired? This is a power window switch.
View 8 RepliesI am a newbie Gx470 owner. I just finished a timing belt job on my 2005 Gx470 with 127K on the clock. After the work, the driver's master window control would not activate any window but the drivers. On a recent outing my wife activated the passenger' window. I suddenly regained control of that window from the drivers position. You guessed it, when I ran the rear windows up and down, I regained control of them also.

I'm assuming this is the result of some sort of memory being wiped out during the battery change. Or perhaps a blown fuse during power up while connecting the new battery.
View 7 RepliesI just got done repairing the 6x9 speaker in the passenger side door and all went well, except the passenger window switch now blinks and will not roll down/up from the driver side controls! I've removed the panel and double checked all connections and no dice. The window rolls up and down fine using the passenger side control, but not the driver's side. The blinking pattern on the control is two blinks...pause...two blinks...pause...

View 1 RepliesI just picked up our first Lexus, an 08 RX 350 with 140 km on it and while we love the car, have run into a problem with the power windows and driver's door controls.
None of the power windows in the car work, either from the driver's door or from any other door.
The central locking on the driver's door does not work, but does work from the passenger's door and from the key.
The Memory Seat controls on the driver's door do not work. The controls on the seat itself work fine.
The side mirror controls work fine.
Yes, the battery did get low just before all this happened but we can't do the window reset procedure because none of the other windows work.
I've tested all fuses and they are all fine.
I am suspecting it's some controller or wiring in the door.
Power Windows don't operate, when i have power on and engine is not running. I can have CD player going, charge my phone etc. I have to turn on the engine as well, then only they work...

We had 3 windows stop working but the drivers window locks and mirror adj all work. the 3 passenger windows don't work on the doors or the master switch. just bought a new master switch thinking it was the lock out on the master switch, well no change!! windows still don't work ?
View 3 RepliesI made my first round trip from Vegas to LA over the weekend in our 06 GX470and had to endure this obnoxious wind noise that seems to be coming from both driver and passenger windows. Is this normal for a Lexus SUV? I normally drive my LS460L which is dead silent so I'm not sure if I'm just spoiled. I used to have a big SUV (Armada) but never noticed the wind noise because of the engine and road noise.
View 2 RepliesLast week I had a strange issue after trying to install the HID lights. When driving, I noticed the autodown did not work, and the right side windows would not work from the driver door, only.
I brought the car to the vehicle and they said they did nothing, it worked when they got it. Sure enough, it was working fine when I picked it up and ever since then.
After they installed the spoiler, I noticed the same exact thing! Now putting 2 and 2 together, when I installed the HID lights, I had to remove the battery to mount the ballast and didn't think anything of it. When they installed the spoiler, they also had to disconnect and reconnect the battery.
Possibly something about reconnecting the battery is causing issues with the Auto window switch, and the window control to the right side, from the driver door.

View 6 RepliesThe issues are related to the air conditioning and door locks...very very strange. I did a DATC diagnostic and the only code I got was 12 65.
Here is the issue... When the car is started and AC is on, it will blow cold air for a while. While driving, at some points the AC will start to blow hot air and the power windows will not operate...the door locks seem to be making a clicking sound, according to my father.
We have had the dealer check the car and all they did was replace a cooling wall or something for $500+....a complete waste and no fix. We have taken it back to the dealer twice and they cannot isolate the issue.
I did the DATC diagnostic twice this morning and reset the system (cold booted) by pressing the defrost button. Once completed the system rebooted and blew out a puff of air.....I did the diagnostic again and when done hit defrost...same puff of air. Again, the only code it threw out as 12 65 - which I am not sure is valid for this car.
I have an '03 Passat 1.8T. The windows will not operate off any of the door switches. I have swapped out the driver's door switch, and still to no avail, the windows will not operate. The windows DO however, operate off of the key when hold it in the lock and unlock position. I checked the fuses, those are good.

View 5 RepliesOK so I know that my rear suspension no longer operates the way it should...with 230K miles and owned since 03....time has taken its toll. So I was wondering if any parts list to repair the rear air suspension so that I can take it directly to my toyota dealer to install. I can tell that the air suspension is trashed simply because I would normally hear the car lower when I parked in the garage etc...now it doesn't do anything.
View 6 RepliesOn my 2003 GX 470 w/ 135,000 I have an issue that I can't figure out how to resolve.
The driver side lets out hot heat and the passenger side lets out cold air. I have the dual climate control and both sides are at MAX HEAT with the blower on HIGH. I have 2 vents for each the passenger and the driver.
The left side of steering wheel vent is allowing max heat. the right side of steering wheel vent lets out warm air. Not as hot as left side but warm. On the passenger side, its only letting out cold air and gets colder if I lower the temp on the climate control for right side.
Engine coolant is full, no lights on dash. Blower motor sounds like its working fine.
2006 GX470. I have an A/C issue where sometimes the driver's side is not cool at all but the passenger side is very cold. Both sides are set to the coldest setting.
The weird part is, I can usually get it to fix itself by reaching back to cycle the rear A/C on and off.
I did a search on here and found one similar thread, however it seemed his fix was replacing the expansion valve; but wouldn't a bad expansion valve cause an issue to both driver's and passenger side?
I have an 02' F-350 XLT, now and then when I start the truck, the power windows fail to operate, so far after a few seconds, 30 or so (more or less)they have always started working, has happened now 4-5 times since 9/15 purchase of the truck. What could be causing this issue ? Other then that the windows seem to operate normal, and the power locks have always worked at each time the windows don't .
