Camry :: 2003 4 CYL - Battery Full But Car Won't Start

Have an 03 Camry 4 cyl. That is my wife's car.

She reported nothing wrong yesterday but this am does not start. I can hear the starter humming but does not turn over. My charger shows battery at 100% but I suppose could still be the culprit. Going to have it load tested to find out for sure.

Start - Chevrolet - Classic - Caprice :: 1975 Hard Startup Despite Of New Battery And Fuel Tank Full

I put a new battery and the fuel tank is full but the car always has trouble starting. the other day i sat trying to start it, pumping the gas for 10 minutes or so. Nothing. I noticed some dripping under the car but it looked like coolant. Could this be something bigger? I have a new battery in. Do I have to go and start it every week and let it run for a few minutes? Any portable car jump start?

Ford Wiring/Electrical :: 1999 F150 - Battery Draining From Full Charge To No Start In 1 To 2 Days

My neighbor's kids truck battery drains from full charge to "no start" in 1-2 days. 1999 Ford F-150 w/ 4.6L engine. He has already.....

1) Replaced the Battery.
2) Replaced the GEM module.
3) Replaced the Turn Signal Relay.
He did all this before I looked at it....

I checked the following....

1) Truck off, doors closed, hood open... Amp meter shows 3.6 amp draw. When 1st hooked up, shows 4.2 amps... after a while drops to 3.6.

2) To isolate the draw, we pulled fuses while checking current draw at battery.

a) Under Dash fuse Panel. (Yes, with door closed) We remove fuse #15 "stop lamp switch, speed control, brake shift interlock, ABS, PCM,GEM, RABS test connector". (Really... couldn't be more stuff?)
b)Under the hood is another fuse box (drivers side). We remove Fuse #103. "Junction Block Battery Feed".

3) Found that if we remove the #15 fuse under the dash with the door opens, all interior lights flash on/off at about 1 second intervals... weird.

4) Again, another weird one... with the fuse #15 removed and door closed, the "ABS" indicator and some other indicators and dash lights are staying partially lit... not fully lit.

5) The only "aftermarket" stuff i can see is a dealer installed trailer brake system. Wiring looks professional and disconnecting it does not remove the amperage drain.

I'm hoping that one of you wizards will give me the "slam dunk"... if this happens, it must be that. Can I be so lucky? And, yes. I have my own '06 F-150 that i absolutely love. 6-cyl., manual trans, stripped down without even power door locks... my kinda technology.

Camry :: 2002 Won't Start / Full Power Inside

A month ago I took it to shop who said it was the battery. battery replaced, runs great. All of a sudden yesterday I go get gas, leave radio on in car for kids, pump gas, go to leave, won't start.... won't even jump start. full power inside CAE... lights radio etc. Car has 200k miles and I have replaced starter before.

Ford 7.3L Power Stroke (1999-2003) :: Battery Light On / Voltage Meter Only Show Barely 12 Volts At Full Throttle

The brief information:

1. Stuck/non moving in traffic on the freeway for roughly 1 1/2. During that time the AC was running, but once I noticed my "battery light" on the dash turn on, I turned everything off.
2. Since then while on my way home from work the voltage meter only showed barely 12 volts at full throttle.
3. I charged my battteries, and started it up today to go into work. While going to work the voltage meter showed 14 at its high point, but shortly there after it dropped back down to 12. At which time the battery light came back on.

New battery or alternator?

Prius V :: Traction Battery Gauge Never Shown Full Battery

My 2012 Prius v has a traction battery gauge beside the fuel gauge. The gauge has never shown that the battery is full. It appears as if the indicator is 2 bars below full at all times. Is this by design or should the gauge look full with bars to the very top after charging on a long trip?

Elantra XD (2001-06) :: 2003 - Rough Start And Stalls On Full Tank

I just recently had a new (used) gas tank and new fuel lines (front to rear) put on the car.

On the first fill-up, I pulled out from the gas station, drove 20 seconds to the next red light. The car stalled (automatic transmission) when I came to a stop. It was hard to start and hard to keep going, and had intermittent periods of extreme power loss when I drove it down the highway.

Took it back to the shop, there was an engine code for the O2 Sensor, so the O2 was replaced, but made no difference. They checked fuel pressure and the catalytic converter, both were fine. They wanted me to keep driving it until another code came up.

As the tank neared empty, the car started driving almost perfectly. Filled it up again, and the problems started all over again. I have tried driving it with the gas cap off to make sure air can get in to replace the gas, but made no difference.

I changed the spark plugs, and all 4 of the old ones were covered in black carbon from the fuel running too rich (i assume).

Also, when the car is idling and it starts struggling, the exhaust does smell extremely strongly and is grey.

Now, engine code [P1166 O2S Controller Adaption Diagnosis Malfunction (bank 1)] is appearing (I have to check with the garage monday to see if it is the same code they had earlier).

I'm not sure why a new tank would cause this, unless somehow dirt/rust ended up where it didn't belong during the changeover.

Camry :: Battery Dead - No Power To Engine Now Won't Start

My battery was dead. Jumped the battery but hooked up cables wrong. Put car on battery charger.

Car has power now. Turns over but does not start. Seems like no power to engine. Engine light is on.

Is there a fuse that needs to be fixed?

Toyota - Camry :: New Battery / Starter But Sometimes Car Didn't Start

The battery is about 6-month old and my mechanic replaced the starter last week as the car had a hard time to start. Since then it has no problem except once in a cold day (about 35 degrees) it took 10 minutes to get started. Every time I switched the key, no sound came from the starter or the engine, just like what happened with the old starter. But this only happened once. I didn't have trouble in other occasions with the new battery and the new starter. What could be the problem?

Camry :: 2003 XLE Car Wouldn't Idle - Bad Battery

Camry 2003 XLE. Stopped @ store yesterday turned off lights locked car. Came out lights on battery dead. Portable charger started it right up. Drove home 2 minutes shut off car started right up. Went to Advanced Auto they tested and said bad battery. Went to repair ship 2 get second opinion they ran test twice that said battery and charging system OK. Said corroded posts issue. They cleaned hooked battery up and car wouldn't idle. They ran test again now said both battery and alternator bad. They also checked computer for error codes and nada. Upon advice from Toyota dealer drove around for an hour and gradually was getting better. FYI car died at least 10 times when idling during drive but started right up. Parked car and left idling with AC, lights, etc all on. Checked a couple times still running. Went out 15 minutes later car off battery again dead.

Camry :: 2007 Won't Start With New Battery Just One Click And All Electric Power Gone

So my wife's 2007 Camry just got a new battery a week or two ago. The other day she goes into the garage to her car to find it dead, with no power to the locks (had to use key instead of FOB), no accessories, no dash lights and no dome light. When she tried to start the vehicle it gave her a single click, did not crank and did not start.

Initially I approached it from the perspective that maybe the alternator was not charging the battery, so I charged the battery with my portable charger. The battery charged fast and checked out okay.

I then used the key FOB to unlock the door. Adjusted the electric seat to better fit me. The dome light came on. I also checked to see the head lights came on. I turned the ignition to start and I got a single click. Tried it again and got no feedback. The dome light was no longer lit and no other accessories worked. All of the power seemingly drained following the attempt to start.

Now I am wondering if the starter is shorting out or if something more mysterious in the electrical system is malfunctioning in a way that I have never faced before...

Camry :: 2009 Won't Crank Nor Start - Battery Light Coming On And Flashing

I have a major issue the wife 09 camry won't crank nor start. It all happened after i touched the alternator and heat shield with a rachet . She was complaining about her battery light coming on and flashing so I goes out to see and noticed the ark coming from the alternator so i reached down to touch the wire while the car running and hit both the heat shield and alternator together sparks jumped off of course . I shut the running car off then tightrb up the alternator loose bolt. When I tried to restart the car it wouldn't turn over. I checked most of the fuses and now I'm lost and stuck....

Toyota - Camry :: 2001 Will No Longer Start After Dead Battery And Jump

My wife left the lights on in the 2001 Camry and completely draining the battery. I tried to jump her but the car would not start (turns over great). Also the electrical system was strange in that the lights would not go off and other electrical items did not function. I disconnected the battery and fully recharged it and put it back on. I noticed that the "ALT" (100A) fusible link was blown and replaced it. Car still will not start (turns over great). The electrical problems appear fixed however the radio does not work. I tried to read the codes on the ODB and got "ERR". I checked all other fuses and they are good. I checked the pin-out voltage on the ODB port and was reading ~11.5V. I am wondering if I missed something like is the ECM bad? I can replace this myself for $150, but if I have it towed to a dealer it will cost me $800. Is there a way I can be sure that the ECM is bad, also are there other things to check that I may have missed. Also, when I turn the key to the "on" position, but do not start the car, the "Check engine" light does not illuminate.

Prius (Gen 2) :: 2004 - Engine Turns On When Battery Is Full

I still have my 2004 Prius which currently has 264,xxx miles. The car runs very well (at least I think it does). I have always maintained it beyond what was required. Anyway, it has been very, very hot lately in south Florida (high 90's plus 50% humidity) so I do not know if that has anything to do with my problem. I have noticed that after I have driven the car for a while the engine periodically turns itself on when I am at a stoplight even though the battery shows practically full (full blue). The engine will continue to stay on until I resume driving. I have the AC on full blast as it is needed to keep the cabin cool. Otherwise, the car seems to be performing satisfactorily.

Prius (Gen 3) :: Battery Goes Down Quickly To 2 Bar From Full Just On Local Streets

I notice that if I use AC, the battery drains a lot faster. If i do not use AC, I see my battery stays at one bar from full on flat freeways or local streets.

If I use AC, I see the battery goes down quickly to 2 bar from full just on local streets.

So AC drains the battery quite a bit. Does ppl use their AC all the time or not?

Prius (2004-09) :: Full Battery Discharge In 1 Hour - Car Was Off

About 20 minutes ago I started up the car and the screen indicated the main battery was pretty much empty. And hour before I had pulled into my driveway and the battery had indicated maybe 70%+. The car was off, nothing like headlights or anything I know of was left on.
