Attached below is a picture of the handle with the damage (drivers side).
I'm not a mechanic, but upon first inspection and a little tugging it appears that piece can be removed and possibly replaced with a new one? Don't really want to take her door panel off unless I have to (and don't want to waste the time if that piece can't be removed anyway).
I've got a 2003 camry LE/V6. The interior trim fabric to the right and left of the rear window is curling back on the trim panel away from the glass. This has been happening slowly over a year or so and now has reached a point of requiring repair. I've searched the site, but haven't found anything directly related. These panels appear to be separate from the headliner and the rear window shelf. How these panels come out? If these snap into clips and can be removed, I might be able to match fabric closely enough to be OK.

I am using the Meguiars Gold Leather spray for the leather which is doing a decent job, but I don't know what's best for the dashboard and the other parts.
View 10 RepliesI just noticed on my wife's camry the rear door pillar post plastic is sort of lifting/buckling in the middle. The front doors pillar plastic is fine just on both rear doors it started to lift in the middle. When you push it back down it stays for a second or two then lifts up again. the car is 2012 and only has 10k miles Not happy.

I do a lot of camping, and having the doors open with the music playing is a real nice feature of my truck (2007 F-150 Super Crew 4X4), vut the fact that every internal light stays on just beats the heck out of the battery.
I would love to know if there is something that can be done to have them 'dim off' after the doors have stayed open for a certain amount of time.
My 2008 Elite has a door that won't open. The rear door on the driver's side.
It is an Australian Elite model. I can hear the click when the remote is pressed. How can I get the door open to remove the intyerior trim?
I bought a Prius persona in 2013 brand-new and in about a year or year and a half later start slowly coming noises from interior plastics and now it's a 2 1/2-year-old car and I have noises from every single plastic that's in the interior. $29,000 car and two years 2 1/2 years after it's just annoying and embarrassing for Toyota. Dealership is refusing to do anything because I'm over 36,000 miles and the warranty that I bought originally with the car is refusing to do anything too. And the dealership wants to charge me per hour just to start and it could take up to the whole day or two days or half a day and it could cost me thousands of dollars on a $29,000 car is two years old, unbelievable.
View 5 RepliesI am a fairly new 2013 Prius C (Four) owner and I was wondering about cabin noise, specifically plastic clicking and popping. My questions is about, plastic clicking and popping sounds coming from the dash area?
It's hard to pinpoint exactly where but most of the sounds comes from the far left and right corners, close to the window vents where the windshield meets the dash. I do also notice some noise around the middle of the dash as well. This occurs on any type of road condition but is of course aggravated with rougher road surfaces. I don't believe it to be a small piece of plastic bouncing around but more of loose panels or something of that nature but I'm not sure.
Just got my 2012 Prius. The interior plastic trim squeaks when pressed by hand/knee or during cornering and bumps. I'm talking about the center console and flying bridge thing, door panels, ect. I'm in the process of upgrading speakers and adding limit amounts of sound deadener. I thought about adding silicon grease on the plastic tabs that hold the plastic together....does that sound like a good idea. The main offender is the arm rest console box.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2010 prius with a misty gray interior. Accidentally when getting out I scuffed the door and on another occasion I scuffed the plastic molding by the gas tank lever.
The scuffs are black marks and they bother me every time I look at them. Is there a way to get them out? I tried rubbing them out with some cleaner on a paper towel but no luck.
This morning I was sadly involved in an accident. I was struck on the driver's door, with some damage to the surrounding areas. There is also damage to the inner door frame
I am worried the affected area is part of the frame and will prove difficult or impossible to repair. Is this the case? How would this sort of damage be repaired?
About 4 months ago I was at the gas station and when I tried opening my fuel door, the switch wasn't working. I went home, took the door trim off, and then removed the switch in order to clean it. Once I cleaned it, it worked but about every 3rd time that I clicked it. However, yesterday it finally gave out as I was at the gas station. So I came home and now I'm stuck because I don't want to break the fuel door.
I ran through the fuses in the fuse box but on the diagram none seem to be for the fuel door. The weird thing is that yesterday as the fuel door switch gave out, so did the interior door lock switch. Now I have to insert the key from the outside in order to enter the car. But the key cannot unlock the passenger door.
When I hit the interior door lock switch, I hear a click noise under the dash. I took a look under there and it seems to be a bunch of relays. It's very tough to tell which one is the one clicking.
My car has fairly deep scratches on the trunk, roof, and hood. It's a red, 2008 Chevy Impala. I'd take pictures---but it's too painful. There are numerous thin scratches on each of these surfaces. I'm going to take it to a body shop to get an estimate, but I know I am probably not going to like what I hear. No, my insurance does not cover this (I only have liability). So...Am I going to need a completely new paint job?
View 19 RepliesI got into an accident early Dec 15 with my 2014 Camry. Most of the damage was body mostly front hood but the radiator had to be replaced. For some reason ever since then my MPG has dropped quite a bit. I used to be able to drive 420 miles on 14 gallons but now I see myself filling up at the 300 mile mark. I recently got the 25k check up and everything was fine minus replacing my air cabin filter at the next checkup.
My driving route/style hasn't changed so I'm at loss.
I got a concern about putting HID headlights, changing the lights inside to LEDs putting some brighter lights to the rear lights. Someone told me that adding these mods can do damage to the alternator. Is this true or not or can I do it with the stock alternator.

I have 235/65/16s on now and its on the verge of rubbing.
I drive a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. It has 2wd, 4hi, and 4lo. I have heard from some old timers that if I drive in 4hi at highway speeds it will damage the vehicle. The manual does not say anything about not driving highway speeds in 4hi. I only drive in 4 hi when there is lots of snow on the road (I-25/I-70 between Colorado Springs and the mountains mostly). Any good info on this? I understand how 4hi is no good on dry pavement (I've made that mistake a few times), but in a snowy situation on the interstate where I am not making any turns, only highway curves, is there anything wrong with it? I am talking speeds like 50-70 mph.
View 12 RepliesI have a 2008 Camry LE with the JBL system, the door speakers are blown and I can't find anything that meets the specs. They are 6x9 2 ohm, I'm not sure what the depth is, but I know it's less than most aftermarket speakers. I would probably also need an adapter to make it fit on the OEM mount.

View 2 RepliesMy 2010 Nissan Rogue was awesome until the clicks, squeaks, rattles, etc popped up after the first year. I've been slowly figuring them out, but one remaining problem is the squeaking plastic door panels. If I lean my arm on it or or leg against it, it creaks in many places. Going over bumps it'll do it on it's own. Is there anything I can do to remedy this? It is out of warranty as I have about 40K on it and they said that wouldn't qualify anyhow when it was under warranty as it was "cosmetic".
View 5 RepliesMy 2008 Camry door check stop on driver side is worn out. Is worn out to the point that when I open the door the check stop does nothing. It keeps on swinging until the door is wide open. On a couple of occasions in parking lot almost to hit some cars that were driving pulling next to me. I went to the dealer and they will not cover it under warranty. It now has 66700 miles on it. It started doing this around 45000 miles or so. Car is US made. I am thinking maybe the Japan built is more durable it will not wear out that fast. I could get the US version but I don't want to replace it again in 45000 miles. If the Japan built is better I would buy it. Right side is fine.
