Tried finding any possible way to connect the map lights to the done so they both turn on when doors open...??? I have a se with no sunroof.

All of the lights work when the dimmer switch is flipped and when the individual switches are flipped on. The lights also turn on automatically when ignition is turned in the off position after running. Where should I begin to look to get this resolved?

In my Expedition we could turn the little button next to the headlights switch to adjust brightness in the controls and speedometer and turn all the way til it clicks for off but doesn't work here.
View 11 RepliesBeen having issues lately. Like I open the door and lights inside won't come on until the engine is cranked. Clock on dash resets. Then just yesterday I go to start it and get nothing. Checked battery connection and they are tight. What it could be. It's at the dealer being checked out. Probably will get the dreaded couldn't reproduce the problem.

View 14 RepliesI have the jbl stereo and when I start the car it literally takes 2 solid minutes or so to connect sometimes i have to turn the radio off and then back on to get it to connect always has done it. Tried with other phones also i use a iphone 6.

Noticed they're lights flicker when they turn off the car? It doesn't happen all the time and just kinda weird.
I have a 2014.5 SE Sport and the only thing I can think of is I always have my parking lights on (cuz I turned off DRL) but they always turn off when I open my car. Each time I try to record it, it stops doing it. It usually only last for a few seconds but just thought it to be odd.
I just got a 2014 Camry SE a few months ago. I have a couple of questions. First of all, I need to know how to turn off the daytime running lights when the engine is off and I'm just parked and listening to the radio. The lights seem to be on any time the ignition switch is in any position except off.
And secondly, is it necessary to use synthetic engine oil instead of good quality regular oil of the correct viscosity? Will it affect the warranty, how about the oil change interval, etc.
One of my license plate lights doesn't turn on until I tap it..
What could be causing this? I installed LED's in them but a few months later I noticed this happening.
I am having this strange problem with my 2014 Camry: When the door is opened, the dome light turns on but the map lights do not, unless I physically press the light cover to turn them on - and they stay on indefinitely even when the door is closed. Is this worth taking to the dealership or is there a quick fix? Strange I never experienced something like this before.

My interior lights do not turn on automatically when I first enter the car. I know it's easy enough to do this manually, but it's something 95% of cars do by default. Additionally, I'm one of those who likes to tinker with settings over a few days/weeks time, so I don't want to have to setup a trip and service every time I decide I liked a previous setup better than the current one.
My salesman went into these settings (on my car), so I know these settings exist and it should be easy enough to find the Contra special code to access them! My "Vehicle" settings are grayed out regardless of whether the car is turned or in accessory.
I went to my car this afternoon and my key would not work on either door. The key fob worked to open doors. I do not want to rely on my key fob.....is this a common problem or do i have some big issues starting?
View 2 RepliesWe just bought a 2003 Windstar SE, the door ajar indicator is on on the dash all the time but the courtesy/dome lights don't come on with any of the doors open. The lights will come on manually with the headlight switch? I am pretty sure these are controlled by the GEM module.
View 11 RepliesI was getting something from the Santa Fe last night and noticed that the interior lights didn't come on when I opened the door. Further investigation found that they don't illuminate with any of the four doors (despite the door ajar light coming on in the dash), but the lights do come on when set to "ON", so the bulbs and fuse(s) are fine. The model year is 2001.
View 2 RepliesI've got an '05 burb that for a couple weeks now the interior lights will not come on when you open any doors. Just tonight I went to start it and it took a couple tries and finally did, but I noticed that the clock had been reset almost like the battery had been drained.
I drove it to my destination and just let it run for about 30 min thinking it needed to charge (nothing had drained it that was obvious to me). I had to go back out and it did the same thing, started hesitantly and the clock had been reset.
I have an 03 camry . My keyless remote will open all 3 doors except the driver's side door .The other day the drivers side door would not unlock manual,so I had to unlock it from the outside. Somebody told me it might be the actuator in the door.
View 1 RepliesI have a '00 Ford ranger and a '99 f-150 , when leaving the doors open , interior lights go off after 10-15 minutes in the ranger but not on my 150. Is there a relay or something aftermarket that makes this possible on the 150 ?
