Sometimes my door chime will elert when I shut my car off (push button start ignition) and I notice the flashing key on the dash flashes yellow. It doesn't happen all the time however. Is this a sign that my key fob battery needs replacement?

Over the weekend I installed a LOC and amplifier w/sub to OEM stereo in 2013 Camry SE. System has touchscreen and navigation. Prior to installing I disconnected the battery so I wouldn't have any surprises. Well, I got one anyway. After everything was reassembled, the car now chimes when the driver side door is opened (haven't checked passenger door) even when the key is out of the ignition. This happens even after remotely unlocking the doors. It looks like there is an option to remove door chime when opening the door. I know this doesn't apply to when leaving keys in car.

View 14 RepliesI'm trying to get an F150/1997 started that's been sitting for about 2 years. After installing the battery, turning the key, nothing happens. No click, no turnover, nothing. The dash lights come on along with open door chime.
What to check first or troubleshoot this? The vehicle was running fine when parked, battery removed. I was thinking the brake pedal switch might be corroded, or maybe someone unplugged something under the hood or tampered with something.
I don't like cloudy, hazy, dull, yellow headlights so since the car like a year old, is there anyway can I prevent those headlights getting cloudy-yellow? Products that I could use? Does cook top cleaner work?
View 14 RepliesI am new to Toyotas and recently inherited a 94 Camry. When the door opens a chime starts and does not go off until the door is shut. Looking at a wiring diagram it appears that only the courtesy light operates off the door switch.
View 4 RepliesI stored my Camry over the winter, and it didn't do this before being stored.
Whenever I drive the car, park, remove the key, then open the door, it makes a single "ding" sound then stops. This has happened every time that I can remember.
Is this a warning sound for something? The tires are all filled, the bulbs are all fine... Very confused. The headlights have been in the "Auto" and "DRL Off" positions with no change in the chime, I think.
This just started tonight. The double beep and blinker flash still works when unlocking, but now when locking...it no locker beeps or flashes the turn signals. It also doesn't dim the interior light if I hit it twice.
The car locks, just no beep/ flash.
2011 XLE, 54k on it. Drove to work last night, turn signals working fine. Came out in the morning, noticed the lights did not flash when I unlocked the door. Started up to drive home, noticed the turn signals not working, also emergency 4-ways not working. Found the 10 amp fuse, #19 blown, replaced, still no signals or 4-ways. Fuse is still good, I suspect to flasher/relay, but where is it?
Fuse panel under the dash mentions signals with clock & glove box light, but they are working and that fuse is good. I do have a hitch on the car with the electronic plug & play relay, but I unplugged that and plugged the stock harness back in, same problem, no turn signals or 4-ways.
Is there a way to deactivate the seat belt chime??
View 14 RepliesOk I have an 09 Camry and the door chime is driving us nuts when we unbuckle our seat belt. My husband says it chimes 45x!! How can we disconnect it...tried something I saw online and it was a no go for an 09. My mechanic thinks he is going to have to cut the wire or something-he thinks disconnecting fuse will disconnect other stuff.

Also if this is a thing does that mean I could get the amber out of the headlight? My car is 2015, if that makes a difference.
So for the past week or so when I start my car the maintenance light would come on, flash a few times then go off. Now it's on constantly. What's this mean? Tonight on the way home, driving in light traffic, roughly 45-50mph seatbelt light came on and began to chime. I was wearing my seatbelt at the time, and had nothing in the passenger seat. When approaching a stoplight, the light went out and the chime stopped upon braking. I am going to take it in tomorrow to have it checked, but am assuming the dealer will find nothing. I looked under the dr. seat and there wasn't anything that could have pulled on the wiring.
So again, briefly:
During light traffic with seat belt buckled properly, seat belt light illuminates and chime starts. Upon braking for stop light the seatbelt light went out and chime stopped.
This is kind of a big deal to me because this is my wife's primary vehicle and the airbag will not work with the seatbelt light illuminated.
I'm in the habit of starting the car andthen putting on my seat belt while it is warming up.So I used the Carista OBD2 app to disable the seat belt chime on my 2015 Camry. This is supposed to be the same as doing it from Techstream, I believe.But the ding still sounds several times once I turn the key. The seat belt warning light also flashes in synch with the dings.I confirmed the settings:

I have a 32gb flash drive with about 15 gb of mp3s. when I plug it in, the screen just says "retrieving information". tried the flash drive in my computer, TV and stereo and it worked fine. any suggestions? I have nothing else on it other than mp3s...
View 4 Replies15k on my Platinum, love the truck. I've had a handful of chimes and flashes of something on the productivity screen, most recent on an acceleration, pretty good, no WOT, but 2/3 or so, hear the chime and see the orange box on the screen, but it is gone before I can see any text etc.
Oil level good, 10% til next change. possible tire sensor? Never had a TPMS prompt. Have noticed it has only been when the outside temp is around 30 degrees F, or lower.
This morning I got a yellow warning light flash for a few seconds and then turn solid after driving on the highway for a few minutes. It looks this: (_!_). It is located on the right of the dash display. I just changed my oil and put on winter tires myself two days ago. I hope it isn't related to my maintenance.
View 10 RepliesWhile you're driving you can't type anything into the navigation or Bing, or whatever. So you're forced to use the voice control function.
When you push the voice control button it asks, "What would you like to do?" followed by a quick chime/ding that prompts you to speak. That's what it used to do when it worked.
Here's what it does now: I push the voice button, it asks, "What would you like to do?" BUT, the chime/ding doesn't sound and the system goes back to whatever screen I was on prior to pushing the voice button.
When I push the button after that, it does nothing. Voice command does not work for several minutes. The button becomes useless.
THEN, several minutes more pass by and the entire system restarts. Toyota logo comes on, "Warning be aware of surroundings ....." And it is ONLY after the system restarts itself that voice command works as it should. But this is unacceptable. Shouldn't take 15 minutes before it restarts itself before it works.
I was curious how you can get rid of an annoying "check hybrid system" dash warning?
View 1 RepliesI have two Remote car keys for Toyota Camry 2012 vehicle. I lost one of them. I am worried if someone has that key and they can steal my car without breaking. FYI, I used to park in the Railway station where the parking is not secured.
I am thinking of two ways. One is to disable the lost remote key, so that no one can use it. Second way is to deactivate the remote sensors in the car so that no can lock or unlock the car with the remote. Just lock and unlock it manually.
