I have noticed sometimes when I turn my car off it will chime until I exit the vehicle and close the door and then sometimes it doesn't do this it at all. What's the catch?
View 14 RepliesTried all the steps as out-line on 100's of threads. When I open and close the door I do not hear the chime or buzz to tell me that that step is done and of course no chime at the 7-second mark nor at the 15 second mark.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2009 GX 470 and need to set up my easy exit (where seat goes back when car turned off and key comes out). I keep seeing posts that say got to the set up button and click on vehicle. I see a set up menu button but when I click that there is no vehicle option.
View 2 RepliesEverytime I open the door to get out of my 08 LS460 the warning bell rings incessantly.
The only thing I can think of is that I'm usually in a parking garage and the lights are on due to the auto-feature on the lights. But, I think sometimes it rings even though the lights aren't on.
Sometimes you open the door but don't jump right out of the car. Is there anyway to disable this ringing bell?
Got a 2002 Ranger XLT v6 auto w/80k on the clock. When I exit the truck and close the door with the key in the ignition the chime dings for about 10 seconds before stopping. Is there a way to shorten this? ( Other than removing the key.)
View 2 RepliesMy 2007 ES 350 will chime if the car is on and the door is opened. It will also warn you if the car is on and the electronic key becomes out of range.
One day both of these features stopped working. Everything else seems to be working just fine.
I noticed that I need to use more strength go close the driver's door in my 2007 gs350 All the other doors i can close with minimum effort. Is this normal?
View 14 RepliesSometimes my door chime will elert when I shut my car off (push button start ignition) and I notice the flashing key on the dash flashes yellow. It doesn't happen all the time however. Is this a sign that my key fob battery needs replacement?

I took the T-REG to a dealer today because I noticed the drivers door (more precisely the bottom corner towards the rear) doesn't close well, and the vehicle itself pulls to the right. I got a call back from the service manager stating that the door is actually bent!!! He states that the reason the vehicle pulls might be due to the bend as well!!! He advised me to call the dealer I actually bought it from and bring this up with them!!! I bought it with 103 miles it now has 203 (the extra miles are actually to just bring it to my house and drive it to the dealership)What should I do!!! Is the door actually repairable; the service manager states it is impossible to fix it because how it is made and installed!!

Everything is off, why it does this. I asked the dealer a while back but they gave me the "No problem found".
Again nothing is left on and it doesn't matter whether the automatic headlights are on of off.
When I turn off my Ex, the drivers door unlocks automatically, but the other doors remain locked. Is there a way to program it so that all doors unlock automatically?

BMW uses an actuator on their exhaust system that opens up to create more airflow when above a certain RPM.
I recently purchased a 2012 used Santa Fe. I've only had it about 2 weeks and just noticed something the other day. When I shut the vehicle off and exit, I hear a very low ticking noise coming from behind the front grill vents. It lasts for about 15 seconds and slows down until it stops completely.
I'll be the first to tell you that I know absolutely NOTHING when I comes to cars (other than how to drive one ). My guess would be that it sounds like some type of fan coming to a stop. If this is the case, I'm wondering if one of the blades could be bent, and how potentially serious of an issue this might be? Other than that, it drives great, with no other notable noises while in motion.
I have a 2010 Santa Fe. The passenger front door does not close well. It needs a very firm push to latch completely. Regular push and it only catches first click and bounces partially open. I loosened the catch on the jamb, but it seems this is not adjustable.

View 2 RepliesOn a 2011 RX450h, is it possible to disable the door chime when the drivers door is opened but the car is in accessory mode (i.e. not running)?
Since I just got the RX I've been playing a lot with the settings and audio presets. With the drivers door open the chime just continues forever and I cannot find any option to turn off the chime when in accessory mode.
Our 2009 lx just came off warranty. Unless it is immediately re-started, the a/c is not retaining the temperature and fan settings when the vehicle is turned off. When re-started, auto setting for a/c comes on but fan does not. After about 30 seconds, temperature setting reads 75 degrees and fan has to be manually turned on.
View 1 RepliesOur car was rear-ended (we had a great shop to the repairs and the car drives/looks like it did pre-accident). However, the navigation door magically stopped working now that we have the car back. The navigation screen still works fine, but the open/cose buttons will not make the door/lid open.
On other threads I have searched here, people have suggested this could be from the door being off-track (not the case here), a broken motor (could be the case), and/or a blown fuse (also could be the case).
What fuse I would need to check if it is in fact a fuse? I've looked at the fuse boxes in the engine bay (by the battery) and in the trunk, but all fuses look fine. Is there anywhere else I should look for a fuse before wasting a day at the dealer to diagnose/fix the problem?
Would be very interested to know how to disable these annoying features, including seatbelt chime, if possible. I always wear my belt when moving, unless it is just from the front of my house around the alley to my rear garage.
View 5 RepliesAs of recent my Drivers Door seems like dead weight and is very hard to close compared to my other doors. No accidents or hitting anything. I checked the hinges and they are fine and the door is lined up perfect. Door is not rubbing anything either when its closing. All seems to be normal from inspecting. All the other doors are just fine. If I push the door with light force it comes back toward me.
View 14 RepliesI just bought a 2002 SC430, 62,000 miles, silver/saddle near perfect condition on owner, all records for $17,000. The radio door is stuck open and won't close. How to fix it? [/COLOR] Also the radio antenna will not go all the way down - about five inches stays up. Are the two problems related. Like others mentioned, I could eat off of the engine and the trunk still smells like a new car.
