I bought and installed stock g37 wheels today and I get vibration at around 50mph+ ! Could this mean i need hub ring adapters?? I believe the offset is 45 on the new rims. They are 18s.
View 3 RepliesI just bought a 2012 camry about two months ago, and now I'm starting to feel some vibration while I'm driving. It seems to only happen when I'm driving between 30 and 50mph, and I am accelerating. For example, I can be cruising at 40mph and go to accelerate and I'd start feeling the vibration. It doesn't happen every time, but enough to know its something wrong. Also I can gas it 0 to 50 and feel no vibration at all. Or I could be cruising between 30 and 50mph, and gas it, I still wont feel it. Like I said it happens the most when I'm cruising between 30 and 50mph, and only when I slightly go to accelerate.
View 14 Repliesnoticed at 8k miles i started getting a vibration from the front wheels on my new camry [2014]. feels like typical warped rotor. i could understand if the car were being driven hard but its not. now at 8.5k the vibration is getting worse. Who manufactures a good quality drilled and slotted rotor ? also the dipstick tube at the block [4cyl] is leaking oil. has been repaired by toyota twice already and leaking again.

Tonight on the way home, driving in light traffic, roughly 45-50mph seatbelt light came on and began to chime. I was wearing my seatbelt at the time, and had nothing in the passenger seat. When approaching a stoplight, the light went out and the chime stopped upon braking. I am going to take it in tomorrow to have it checked, but am assuming the dealer will find nothing. I looked under the dr. seat and there wasn't anything that could have pulled on the wiring.
So again, briefly:
During light traffic with seat belt buckled properly, seat belt light illuminates and chime starts. Upon braking for stop light the seatbelt light went out and chime stopped.
This is kind of a big deal to me because this is my wife's primary vehicle and the airbag will not work with the seatbelt light illuminated.
Planning on changing my stock to HID. how to install them. I looked around the web and I couldn't find anything. I have a camry 2013 SE. fog lights already installed and it has a plastic cover underneath.

I saw on a Honda Civic one day a very deep blue bulb on his factory DRL's. I am assuming it's shared with his high beams? I loved the color and I'm not worried about sacrificing the high beam for this bulb. Looking for deep blue bulbs that are plug and play for my Camry? This is primarily for aesthetics.

This usually happens when im on the highway i guess because im usually going over 50mph I hear like a loud humming and vibration and if I turn the steering wheel left or right it becomes unbearable, like deafening. What may cause this, im thinking maybe i need an alignment or wheel balancing or just new suspension.
Do the 18 inch sport wheels only come with the V6 or also with the 4 cylinder SE model.
View 4 RepliesI just bought a 2002 corolla with a salvage title. I am having trouble with the front passenger side vibration at high speeds 50mph on up. It had the vibration when I bought it and I put 4 brand new tires on it, and had the front end aligned and had a fellow mechanic look at it and and said everything up front was tight. The guy I bought it from said he had the front brakes just done but I feel a pulsating as when I apply the brakes. My fellow mechanic said he would turn the rotors next week, my question is what would be my next step if that not it, axle? I really wouldn't car but I drive this car 150 miles a day to work and its all highway.

View 12 RepliesThis is the second wheel that I'm replacing due to a crack in the wheel itself (where it meets the tire). Roads aren't the best, but with mostly highway driving and taking care not to hit any potholes, I'm surprised that the wheel cracked. Had to replace the wheel due to cracking? and by any chance, is it covered under CPO?
View 5 RepliesInstalled eibach springs on the 7th gen camry? I installed mine this weekend, and I'm getting a like a rubbing sound when I turn the wheel from only the driver side. I removed the strut and spring combo to make sure everything was installed and aligned properly and it was. Just can't put my finger on why its only making that sound on the driver side.

1) Will the Avalon 17 inch wheels fit my camry?
2) Can the current lug nuts be reused, or do I need to get new lugs?
3) Can the current TPMS sensors be transferred to the Avalon set
So I think I've decided to look for coilovers, rather than upgraded wheels this year. Which means I need to throw some NT05s on the stock R wheels. Obv the stock width is 225/40R18. How wide can I go before it rubs? I'm certain I can't do 245, is 235 an option? The car will go on the track, so trying to find some contact surface.
View 9 RepliesI just bought it a month ago & after driving it for longer than a test drive, have noticed the rear wheels chatter & skid a bit when going around corners. It also leans heavily when cornering. I bought it used, with 25,000 miles on it. This is my 3rd Camry & I've loved them all. I never had any problems with their handling until the struts wore out around 100,000+ miles. Replacement struts fixed those. I do not drive it like it's a race car, the loss of traction, followed by fishtailing has happened below the speed limit & sometimes as low as 20 mph. I drive it on the same roads as my other 2 Camrys.

View 6 RepliesOkay, I never experienced this on my Prius C, but now that's I've upgraded to a 2013 Prius Plug-In, I can duplicate it:
When traveling on the highway (at like 60MPG) and I brake a little hard (but not pedal fully to the floor), I hear and feel a 'click' through the brake pedal as it slows through 25MPH. A car pulled out in my lane, and I had to brake suddenly and felt/heard this 'click' at that speed. Did some testing on an off-ramp with the same situation (50MPH - heavy breaking - feel/hear click at 25MPH).
I think this is the transition from the regen braking to the brake pads, but I'm unsure. Not sure if it's ABS either. I've looked at a ton of Gen3 braking threads here on PC, but I was unable to find my exact issue. The car only has 3000 miles on it,
Loving my upgrade so far (but having weird fueling problems - doesn't seem like I can 'fill' the tank, always lose the first 'blip' too fast), and enjoy the freedom of being able to charge for local driving.
I own a 2012 Camry and i just upgraded from the 17 inch to the 18 inch sport wheels. Do the tmps sensors have to be recalibrated because i get no readings. I thought the car should pick up on its own and show me tire pressure. The wheels came from a 2013 Camry.
View 6 RepliesI have a 2012 Camry SE with Bridgestones. I've had it in to the dealer twice for a vibration at 60 - 75 mph in the steering. They've replaced two front tires, balanced all four tires both times, and the vibration is still there. It's very noticeable on smooth roads but no so much on repaved (tar and chip) roads. The car also wanders at highway speeds. They've tried adjusting the tire pressure from 35 to 32 which affects the ride and gas mileage but doesn't affect the vibration. The problem seems worse when the tires are up to temperature which increases the tire pressure. I'm not real happy with this brand new car. It only has 1500 miles on it.
