The drivers auto window will not work, found several ways to try to reset but nothing works. Drivers switch is flashing , if I push the switch down wether all the way or half way window works manually . When I pull on the switch half way up window doesn't work, pull all the way up it works manually. No auto window at all .
View 7 RepliesSo it started when the auto up DID work, and when it closed, it automatically came back down. In order to close the window, I had to use the switch in the non-auto mode. Now, the auto up and down don't work.
View 11 RepliesMy drivers window goes up and down good but the auto down does not work. I checked the fuse/relay that is in the box under the hood, drivers side and it looked okay but to be sure I swapped it with the one for the electric seats, same amp and relay and it still does not work.
View 2 RepliesJust purchased a used 2003 camry 2.0G A/T. The driver's side window slides down well when using the auto button, but gets stuck 1/4 way on the way up. Have to wait a while before holding the button to slide it up all the way. What might be wrong and how I can correct?
View 1 RepliesRecently my '02 drivers window quit going down. The motor and assembly will go down, but the window stays up.
I could lower the window carefully with my hands, and it would go back up like it should, but if I wanted to take it down again I would have to do it with my hands.
Now its at the point where the power assembly still works, but the window acts like its stuck if I try to take it down using my hands, and only goes about 1 inch then sticks. But it will go back to its 'home' position when I use the up button.
I thought this would be a minor inconvenience and I could tolerate it for awhile, but I never realised just how much I use that window.
So, what may have happened, and how to go about correcting it?
Came off it's track and has fallen into the door. Is there a thread on a rescue attempt that includes removing the inner door panels?

This morning I put the drivers side window down, no problems, and when I went to close it, there was a grinding noise and the window wouldn't move.
I'm wondering if this would be covered under the 5/60K mile warranty?
I've been having problems with my unlock on my drivers side recently, it locks on the drivers side but does not unlock, it also locks AND unlocks on the passenger side. It just does not unlock on the drivers side, this has gone off and on sometimes it works, most of the time though it does not at all.
View 3 RepliesMy last issue is resolved and the next day my door handle broke, so I purchased a new replacement put it in, and now my drivers door power lock wont work. I can see it twitching but not going fully either way. the passenger side works fine however. it still works if I di it manually but I have keyless so that's a annoying hassle!!!

The cable is not compatible with the Rostech software that handles the b6 and no I don't want to buy a rosstech cable.
2 days ago my auto window down and top not working (top up and down), light on button for convert. Top not on when pressed. My question is does the auto window down would that make my top not operational? Because the same day my auto window down stop working, my top stop working the same day. Both of my window can still roll up/down when I hold the button up/down.

View 5 Replies2006 Sonata. I had to remount the drivers window glass which had slipped out of the clamps and fell inside the door.
Afterwards, if using the window auto-up feature, the window reaches the top and reverse back down to about the one-third closed point. Using the normal (non-auto up) it remains properly closed at the top.
My first thought was it needed to be reset by the well documented hold the switch up for at least .2 seconds method. I've done that and it hasn't solved the issue.
There doesn't appear to be any unusual resistance to movement which might activate any 'arm in the window' type safety feature. (if it even exists)
I would also expect that type of thing to work regardless if using auto-up or not anyways.
It was just pointed out to to me by a passenger yesterday that the auto up/down on the passenger side switch isn't working. I can do it when controlling from the driver side though. On the first click on the pass side nothing happens. Window only goes up/down on the second click position. I had speakers installed about a month ago but Im not sure if it's related. Do I need to take the door panel off to inspect the switch? What it could be?
View 5 RepliesWhen I first got my GTI this was a problem maybe every could weeks or so. The driver's side auto up/down will randomly stop working almost every day now. I do the reset by holding the button down for 5 seconds when the window is down and then holding it up for 5 seconds when it's up. It then functions as it should and malfunctions a day or so later. I have a VAG-COM, not sure if that can reset something in the module? Not sure if it could also be the switch itself? I COULD go to the dealer but last time they just did the reset procedure and sent me on my way.

View 6 RepliesI've tried to search for fixes but nothing comprehensive works. The problem is that the auto window movement going up will stop halfway and lower a few inches so that it is about a quarter from being fully rolled down. Now, i've managed to get it back all the way up but I'd have to hold the up button. the auto roll is very picky and only works perfectly 50/50. I've tried to reteach the window settings and that does not work either.
The car only has about 1200 miles on it, and no moisture has ever gotten in. seeing as how people have complained about it before but not able to find a conclusive fix, should i just make time to see the dealership and have warranty cover it?

I have a toyota corolla 2011 and I dont remember when window auto down stopped working or if it worked at all. I never disconnected the battery, not sure about if the dealer has done it after I took it for service before. Or maybe the auto down is fake?
View 5 RepliesMy GTI has 300 miles on it, just noticed that the auto up/down function on the driver's side window switch only works sometimes. You have to push or pull hard on the switch to get it to auto open or close. I'm assuming it could just be a faulty switch?
