The seat belt warning indicator is flashing continuously when I am driving with my seat belt fastened. When I pull outward, lengthening just the shoulder harness, the light stops flashing. Letting go of the shoulder strap starts the light flashing again. Is there a sensor near the floor where the shoulder strap take up roller winds and unwinds the strap?

Only on the driver side. When the seat belt indicator goes off I wiggle the seat belt buckle and the indicator goes away.
View 7 RepliesI have a 2011 Corolla LE, about 58k miles. The latest work I did was replace the brake pads, rotate the tires and changed the oil a little over 2 weeks ago. Everything was normal so far. Yesterday I drove for about an hour, again everything was fine, but after stopping at a gas station and starting I have several indicator lights come on.
- Slip indicator, flashing
- TRAC OFF, constant
- ABS, flashing
- Electric power steering warning light, flashes but turns off after about 30 seconds.
I tried my OBD scanner with no luck, but figures since there was no Check Engine light.
I just took possession a few weeks ago,and I love the car. I've only had one passenger, once in the car, and yesterday, I noticed that the passenger seat belt light is continually flashing when I'm driving. If I'm in park, it's off, but when in gear, that little red light flashes non stop.
Is this normal when there isn't a passenger? I don't remember this happening before, and, I'm sure I would have noticed that annoying little beacon.
If it's wrong, how do I fix it? If it's supposed to be there ... how to I fix it?
I have done 2 searches but came up with nothing regarding a 2010 LS 460L. My security system indicator lights are flashing 24/7 regardless of the car being locked or not. Page 113 is not very clear about how to shut them off. I played with so many buttons yesterday after we got home with the car I may have triggered something without even knowing it. I do not recall that they were doing that yesterday when we picked the car up.
View 13 Replies2010 Prius V owner as of last week. All has been going well and got into the car this morning and all of the above noted lights are on at start-up and stay on as I drive. Have made appointment with the dealer but they cannot get me in until late next week. I did make a short drive this morning and all seemed fine with handling and braking. Searched a few threads here and answers are very varied and none that I saw had all of above lights on. I don't think that it is the Hill Start Assist. Safe to drive until we can get into the dealership?

The other night my ESC light came on for a while. New battery, alternator and serpentine belt installed a few months ago.
View 25 RepliesSo it seems as if either the switch in the driver's side seat belt indicator is sticking (off, indicating my seat belt is NOT fastened even though it is), or it's broken. Although, it doesn't do this EVERY time I fasten my seat belt, it's doing it more frequently. I have to refasten it (multiple times) to get it to see it's fastened.

It has been coming on a lot more lately,with no loss of power...I do have a mass air flow code coming up with no issues as far as the car goes..no issues driving. So with a new alternator and battery put in what can be the issue?

There was no discernible change in power, other lighting, or anything else that I can tell. The lights didn't seem to flash in any particular pattern either....

I replaced the battery in my 2006 Hyundai Sonata (3.3 V6) 3 weeks ago. 5 days ago the battery light and seat belt lights started flashing. Both lights would flash then go off. This occurred on and off for 2 days (no change in driving condition) then stopped for 2 days. Today the lights are flashing again and right before turning my car off, the check engine light came on. I turned the car off, then re-started and the check engine light remains on. What could be causing this?
View 3 RepliesI have an 09 Accord (LX), one day the airbag light (SRS indicator) on the dash would stay on when driving, and the Seatbelt Reminder Indicator would detect the driver's seatbelt isn't engaged, even when it is.
A day later, the seatbelt indicator resumed normal operation, but the SRS light still remained on. I took it to two separate dealers and neither of them could connect to the SRS Control Unit to pull error codes from the onboard computer. They say I need to replace the SRS Control Unit to even begin troubleshooting this problem.
Can I replace my own SRS unit without accidentally triggering my airbags? Where do I order it? How do I make sure it is the correct part? Is it easy? Or I have a separate problem?
Parked the car, when wife got back in, got the big exclamation point, SRS warning light, brake off light, airbag off light and most weird the single gas bar flashing when, in fact, I had about 3/4 of a tank. The first part of the problem was that when my keys are in the same pocket as my cell phone, there is interference, so I took the keys out, but the same alarms came on. After playing around with it for a while, including locking and unlocking doors with the remote, it finally started, everything normal, including showing gas just fine. I am original owner, so no accidents. I had just put a heavy object in the trunk, maybe it twisted some wiring? I took it out when I got home.

View 5 RepliesI bought my second Prius yesterday and have noticed that the driver's side seat belt sensor is finicky. Please note, I don't want to turn the warning chime off. I know how to do that, and it isn't the solution I'm looking for. I wear my seatbelt always, but in case I do forget to buckle myself (or my passenger forgets to buckle up), I want to receive an accurate warning.
So, here's what's happening. Even when the seat belt is buckled, the warning chime will sound until the buckle is clicked in *just* right. Sometimes it works on the first buckle, sometimes it takes five or six tries to get it right. I've tried the basics (compressed air, checking connections), but neither provided any solutions. What's my next step? Can I buy a new buckle assembly (or just pull one off a junker)?
I have an annoying problem with my 2008 Passat: the seat belt warning sound beeps occasionally while I'm driving despite the fact that the belt is fastened normally. Usually the beeping ends if I adjust the position of the seat belt buckle or shift my position a little, but this is still an annoying problem. It affects only the drivers seat, passenger side functions normally.
- is there a sensor somewhere in the buckle assembly and can I try to do something to fix it?
- if it need as new sensor should I take the car to a garage or source and install the sensor by myself?
So I just bought new wheels, and had them put on. Went from stock 16's to 17's now. After I had them put on there was no issue.
Now after I was driving for about 30 mins, I noticed that the Low Tire Pressure Indicator started flashing for 20-30 seconds, then stayed solid.
And now the indicator has been there ever since. I've tried reinitializing the TPMS but it stlll didn't go away.
I have a bizarre issue, once the car is running about 20 minutes, the seat belt icon on dash and passenger seat belt light (unoccupied) start flashing. Then the flashing become more like a flickering with a noise. At this time all power windows become sticky and operate under the same bop if you will as the seatbelt light. The doors the will not lock and the alarm will not work. Today it took me about 6 minutes just to close one window and i had to lock the car manually. After a few hours with the car being off, everything works fine again, then another 20 minutes of driving the issue reappears.

I just got the new Avalon. Pretty nice but rear visability isn't great and front head room has been reduced to make it look sporty. My problem is with the obnoxious seat belt warning chime which seems to go on forever. How to disable it? I use my belt all the time. Don't need a reminder.
