I have an Elantra SE 08 and suddenly have an Airbag code: b1361: driver seat belt pretensioner resistant high. How can I check this, I went to scanner, deleted it, but is on again !!

I got a low voltage code and a driver seat belt buckle code "00059" maybe I'm trying to recall but unsure. I have a pair of seat belt buckles out of a mk5 Jetta. Do these will plug into my mk4 by chance?

View 13 RepliesI noticed the passenger side on/off switch for the airbag doesn't illuminate anymore on my 98 Ranger. Whether I turn the key on the switch to on or off it doesn't illuminate either way. The airbag light on the dash flashes showing, counting a code 27 and then it stays on. I also noticed the seat belts on symbol doesn't illuminate and in the owner's manual it says it should illuminate and chime. I remember it use to illuminate but I don't remember a chime.
Someone with a 98 that has a seat belt reminder light that illuminates and chimes until you fasten the seat belt? I don't know if that and the airbag code is related. But I want to fix both? I guess the simplest one to tackle first would be the seat belt light/chime. I don't see a fuse for it. I guess I need to know first is it really suppose to chime.
I have a Sonata 2008 4 cyl. I started getting Airbag and passenger seat-belt signs blinking. Whenever a passengers seats the seat-belt light does not blink, but airbag warning on my dashboard is still turned on. I went to the dealer and they told me to replace the cushion for the passenger.

View 26 RepliesI have a 2006 Honda Ridgeline with just shy of 120,000 miles on it. I love this little truck and have have no real problems with it at all, except the drivers seat belt. The problem is that when you pull the seat belt out to put it on, it squeals so loudly that it hurts my ears! Obviously I can't squirt oil on it, but is there anything that can be done to quiet it down without affecting its function?

Anyway I found myself when getting back from work in the middle of high water like 30 cm for 50 meters and all the cars were driving through so I had to do this or else stuck.
Anyway I drove successfully but next day I saw the red light for airbag, yesterday i took it to the mechanical he has a small all cars scan tool I told him the story he told me could be the computer damaged and after he plugged the scanner he told me the same as he could not enter the system i guess.
could be the computer be the issue?
Or is it only the module for the airbags is damaged and for other parts it is okay as only the airbag light is on.
My girls family has had an 08 elantra 2.0 new since 2008 and I've been doing the work. I recently did the timing belt ( July) with beck arnley oem parts. 65000 miles. I replaced belt, idler, and tensioner.
Right after I did it there was a mild hum at idle. It somewhat did this before the belt so I assumed it was just the new belt in plus the very mild hum it already had.
Recently it is humming very loud and high Pitched. It gets louder with higher rpm. If I take the cover of and move the needle on the tensioner while it's running it quiets down a little but it's an auto tensioner and doesn't stay right where it needs to be AND even when it is at the ideal spot it still hums.
So I was trying to track down this squeak noise and I removed the drivers side seat belt but now the belt will not retract? It's stuck like this, is there a manual release? Buying another one is not a option right now. And I have to drive the car tomorrow morning.

So that answers the the question about the intermittent airbag/ seat-belt lamp. How to solve this problem? BTW- This is a E350 SD Van ....
For a long time my 2004 regular cab truck has a quirk that both the driver (and passenger if present) must click their seat belts before starting the truck. If not, the seat belt chime and light flash, even though the seat belt light is off when the alarm is not sounding.
Even if the truck is in park, and the passenger gets out of the truck and back again with the engine running, once in drive it will start the seat belt alarm with everybody properly buckled.
A few months ago I was driving to work and the airbag light started to flash.
I took the truck in for the air bag wiring harness recall, and the airbag light did not flash since then, and for a little while the seatbelt problem went away.
1 month later the seat belt quirk was back again.
This past weekend the 5x5 air bag alert started. I checked previous posts, and confirmed that my air bag light does not ever light on my dash. I don't remember if it ever came on once the recall was "fixed".
My gut feel is that the wiring to the light is fine, and that this is a wiring problem in the harness. I saw a post that made a vague reference to the air bag sensor under the center console and the seat belt circuit and could find no more.
Looking for a wiring diagram? If the airbag light is out, does the 5x5 alert supposed to indicate that the bulb is burned out, or that the bulb is out AND there is an airbag fault?
How to disable the seat belt warning sound and or the passenger side airbag warning sound?

I have a unique situation:
•No passenger: light is "Airbag" - No red flashing seat belt sign
•Passenger with seat belt: light is "Airbag" - No red flashing seat belt sign
•Passenger with no seat belt: light is "Airbag" - No red flashing seat belt sign
I have no other warning lights on the dash.
I tried to check to check if there are any loose wires/connectors under the passenger seat but everthing looks ok.
Is there a blown fuse?
About 6 weeks ago my 2004 4.6 scab had a glitch in that when you got going the seat belt warning chimes came on, to clear it stop at the next junction turn off re start and away you go. Now today its moved a step further on, the airbag not working light flashes and then stops on, but no seat belt chimes?
View 2 RepliesI have an 09 Accord (LX), one day the airbag light (SRS indicator) on the dash would stay on when driving, and the Seatbelt Reminder Indicator would detect the driver's seatbelt isn't engaged, even when it is.
A day later, the seatbelt indicator resumed normal operation, but the SRS light still remained on. I took it to two separate dealers and neither of them could connect to the SRS Control Unit to pull error codes from the onboard computer. They say I need to replace the SRS Control Unit to even begin troubleshooting this problem.
Can I replace my own SRS unit without accidentally triggering my airbags? Where do I order it? How do I make sure it is the correct part? Is it easy? Or I have a separate problem?
I could find mentioned using a 4.7 ohm resistor to disable the airbags at the connector. I need to get my seat re-upholstered and the VW haus wants to charge me like 80 bucks, how can I do this for less money?
View 19 RepliesI have a 2007 Toyota Camry LE, and the seat belt light keeps on flashing and the airbag light is solid. We have tried literally everything possible, tried replacing the seat, replaced the seats sensors, tried a airbag module out of another 07 camry with exact same part #. Toyota have diagnosed that all the systems for airbag is fine, except it has something to do with the seat belt of the drivers side/or module but all that's been checked and still no luck. My car is due for Safety inspecting coming month and need this to fixed. How to handle this. Btw light came on because we had a blown fuse for the drivers power seat, and my mechanic thought that it was the motor so we replaced the seat and noticed that it wasn't the motor. Was just the fuse and we put back the original seat and everything is functional except the lights came on. No accidents on it to the extent i know. and the wiring is all plugged back properly without anything like wiring damage.
View 9 RepliesI have a 2003 Montana which has the airbag light illuminated. Also no matter if the seat belt is locked in or not - no seat belt light ever comes on. I have a code scanner but it doesn't scan airbag codes.
