2011 F250 Fx4 diesel. I'm pulling a 14' GN dump trailer. My truck squats. Should I go to ford and get a quote to put the overload package on or put in an airbag system? I want to put a on-board air compressor in for air chuck use and louder horn.

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2011 F350 - 5th Wheel Prep Package Cover Have Holes?

I have a 2011 F-350 that came with the 5th wheel prep package which has rubber, two piece hole covers. Every time I slide something out of the bed across these covers they pop off or come partly off. I don't have a 5th wheel trailer and no plans to get one. Having trouble with the covers and come up with a better cover that would stay on when sliding cargo in and out. I hate just leaving the holes open to collect things. I wonder if some sort of galvanized electrical box cover would work with some sort of mount system under it?

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2003 - Passenger Airbag Light On Saying Airbag Turned Off

Every time I start the truck, the Passenger Side Airbag light is on, which is saying the airbag is turned "OFF." I have to push the button to turn the light off, which turns the airbag "ON." How do I reset this to where the airbag is "ON" until I turn it "OFF?"

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2012 - DEF System Fault - Reductant System Performance

Sunday I received the dreaded DEF system fault message on my 2012 CC SRW SB FX4 with 7800 miles on it. Warned me that speed will be reduced to 50 MPH in 50 miles. I have a CTS Insight, so I checked for DTC's. First one was P2200 - NOx sensor circuit (Bank 1, Sensor 1), the second one was P204F - Reductant system performance (Bank 1).

After 50 miles it warned me that speed would be reduced to 50 MPH on next restart. Sure enough, Monday morning speed was limited to 50. I took it to the dealer, but I should have left it running. When the service guy started it, the fault had cleared and it no longer showed the P2200 NOx sensor code, although the P204f code was still there.

My question is, why in the world would Ford make it so that the code is cleared if the fault goes away, especially after putting you through the 50 MPH limit scenario?

Dealer did a reflash and said its OK now, but I'm not so sure. My trucks build date is 10/6/11. I read TSB 11-11-13 which states the NOx sensor module should be replaced for P2200 on trucks built before 10/11/11. Is that only for a persistent P2200?

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: Driveshaft Shudder With Goose Neck - Airbag?

So I picked up a 53' for the racecar. When I'm hauling it on take off I'm getting a pretty good shutter out of the truck. My crew chief who owns a maintenance shop, said it's a known issue, and ford has been shimming the drive shafts.

I talked to the service writer at my dealership and he said it's a known issue and they are working on it. However, he said if they shim the driveshaft, there is a good chance it could fix the problem loaded, but then unloaded I'd have the problem. Is there a setup that's recommended?

I'm towing about 15k, but that's far from the limit of my 450.

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: Firestone Ride-rite Airbag Alignment?

Finished my install last night for my airbags. The passenger side looks good as far as alignment top to bottom, but the drivers side is tilted pretty good. I lined up the alignment pin in the upper mount as the instructions indicated into the most forward hole and there is no way to move the lower mount because it is up against the leaf pack tight where it belongs and the tabs on the lower mount does not allow for it to be turned on the axle housing. I believe it is out of alignment enough to cause excessive wear and or improper performance (the rubber part of the airbag is actually touching the lower metal disc that is part of the airbag when there is no air in it).

P0480 Cooling fan 1 ???? seems bogus to me!
B0001 Cannot find a description, but seems to be a BCM Code, may be attached to lamp?

Purchased 2011 3 weeks ago. Due to not paying attention, put gas in diesel. Had tank dropped and drained but after reassembly, fuel gauge inop. When turn ignition switch on, get normal sweep of all dash gauges but fuel gauge does not read. 2nd tech says sender okay, must be gauge. Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: Remove DEF System Only Without Tuning?

After all this time there's only a couple things about my 2012 6.7 I don't like, and one of them is the DEF system. I like the lack of smoke, and I REALLY like my warranty, but I don't like the acrid DEF exhaust smell and I don't like the amount of DEF fluid I'm going through.

So, looking for a kit to remove the DEF system but leave the truck otherwise untouched? I'd like to keep the DPF and not have to tune the truck, just eliminate the DEF and smell diesel fumes again.

I'm guessing this is a long shot given the amount of computer control of every aspect of the truck, but figured I'd ask anyway...

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: A/C System Works Intermittently?

So you can see from the photo my AC condensor is pretty well f'd. My AC guy at work says I prolly wont be able to straighten the fins back out. My ac in the truck works when it wants to. At idle pretty well but driving it warms up. Sometimes works great, usually when its cold out. I'm sure this mangled mess isn't working. My question is, replace just yhe condenser or so compressor and accumulator at the same time? I don't know what is actually wrong with the system and don't "want" to spend the extra $ on the other items if I dont need them. But I kinda feel like I might as well.

My uncle was pulling his fiver to the beach yesterday with his 2011 f-350 6.7. He lost power, the truck got very loud, and there is a very strong stale kerosene smell in the cab. Strong enough to require the windows be down for ventilation. He was able to limp on into the campground and has an appointment with the dealership Monday. The truck has 19,000 miles and is still covered under the extended warranty.

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2011 - Power Loss - No Boost And Codes?

Truck = 2011 F250 150,000 miles, no modifications, stock.

Truck lost power yesterday, no boost, and no codes. When driving on Friday, I started moving from a red light. The truck seemed very sluggish. Then I noticed it downshift going up a small hill that it never downshifts before. I looked, and noticed the turbo gauge at 0, no boost. I pulled over, turned it off, then restarted it, but still no boost, and the truck is very under-powered. I looked over the area, and do not notice any leaks, also no leaks underneath. I hooked up my OBD reader, and no codes., the boost gauge is on zero, and the truck has lost significant power. I no longer hear the turbo spooling.

I have spent the past several hours searching sites and forums (Started with FTE ), and it seems that most believe a restart of the truck has solved it for them. However, this is not the case for me, a restart, even after letting it sit overnight did not resolve the issue.

I did see one reference that replacing a NOX sensor solved their problem. This brings up some interesting truck history. Back in June 2017, my truck threw the following codes, P207F and P20EE.

P207F - Reductant Quality Performance
P20EE - SCR NOx Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)

The message said I have 200 miles until reduced power. Since it was a Friday, not much I could do at the time so I let it sit overnight, and then the next morning the message was gone. I plugged in the OBD reader and cleared the only remaining code (P20EE), and its been a very happy truck until yesterday.

So my question, can a bad NOX sensor cause the issue of loss of turbo boost, with no codes? Is there another possible cause?

2011 F250 6.7 Lariot Fx4. My factory Trailor mirrors won't extend. When I push the button it just gives me two chimes. The power fold and other options work, just not the extend. Not sure but don't think it's a fuse since everything else works.

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2011 F350 - Lost Power Intermittently?

Currently truck is in the shop after having multiple episodes where it lost power. It has 47,000 miles on it. When pushing down gas pedal, just does not want to go. Very slow to shift through the gears and get to highway speed. Turbo was not there, and there was also a hard shift/jerking from 2nd - 3rd. Did notice the traction control sensor kick on a couple of times....which was just replaced since a hole rubbed through the wiring. (took it to Ford twice before they found the problem)

They told me today that the code generator said to look at wiring but they did not find anything (heard that before) and that the fuel is possibly contaminated with DEF. If that is the case, someone is messing with my truck! What I don't understand that if the DEF does turn out to be in the fuel tank, wouldn't we have the problem continuously and not intermittently over a month after driving thousands of miles and going through numerous tanks of fuel? We drive and average of 60 miles per day just for work, half interstate/city.

Had the truck detailed. They do underhood cleanup as part of the service. Ended up with a CEL due to P0113 ITA Hi code. Truck goes back and forth between normal and reduced power. The A/C goes on and off as well. Truck is going in for service on Monday anyway. What they could have touched or how the A/C is affected?

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2011 - DTC P0401 / Significant Loss Of Power On Hills

Getting DTC P0401 on my 2011 with 92K miles. First time I got the CEL, we were on vacation, so I read the code, took a screen shot, then cleared it. Called my normal dealer, setup an appt, verified that they thought the truck was safe to drive. Coming home from vacation, I was pulling the TT in my sig, and noticed significant loss of power on hills that I have pulled many times before that I couldnt even hold 55 on now. Transmission dropped into 4th a couple times, on hills that it would sometimes stay in 6th, or at most drop to 5th.

CEL stayed off for a week , and came back on again. The funny thing is that after a day or 2, the CEL went back out on its own. I read the codes the P0401 is still there as a stored code(I did not clear this time). Around town the truck drives fine, the only thing I noticed was the decrease in power when towing. Truck is at the dealer now. TECH "isn't convinced" yet that there is a problem. He is not finished diagnosing yet, and I am sure that he has specific tests to run, but I am starting to fear that I will be getting the call to come get my truck.

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2011 - Sudden Power Loss - Cylinder 5 Dropped

My 2011 6.7 suddenly lost power, started making noise and then stalled out.

After finding out that there are zero 24 hour service companies available in the LA area, I was able to get it towed to the local Ford dealer.the next day they told me it had dropped the #5 cylinder and that they would have to tear into it to find out what happened.

While I realize that any thoughts on the situation would be primarily idle speculation, what would cause this to happen at only 125,000 miles.

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2011 - Rough Idle - Surging And Loss Of Power?

I was driving my 2011 the other day home from work and experienced a rough idle. Normally the truck idles pretty smooth. I noticed when I was driving at highway speeds the truck seems to shake a lot. I pulled over and turned the truck off. I did a walk around and could find anything out of the ordinary. I started it back up and no more rough idle. However while i was driving at freeway speeds I could feel a momentary lack of power, then the truck would regain its speed. This would only last a sec or two.

I figured I'd give it a few days.... well now its gotten worse. Its doing the same thing but a noticeable difference in the lack of power. I still have boost pressure and the turbo seems to working fine. Im trying to figure out what it might be. I'll be taking my truck into ford again...

Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: CEL And Exhaust Fluid System Fault Came On

My check engine light just came on and a few miles later the "exhaust fluid system fault" also came on. I plugged in my scanner and these codes came up:

P2479 b1s2
P2033 b1s2
P050E
P0231 b1s2

I'm assuming these mean bank one sensor 2 is bad. Need to verify? I don't remember all these codes when the #4 sensor went bad.
