Any pic or wiring diagram of the starter relay that is mounted to the fender. I'm trying to start the truck finally but it's just cranking and I think I might have mixed up the wiring. Is there supposed to be a constant hot at the glow plug relay when the ignition is off?
View 14 RepliesI can't find a wiring diagram for the UVCH pigtail anywhere. The one that came with the harness assumes the old one was still connected. My wires were burned through and I need to know what colors to wire in from the truck to the new harness so everything matches up.
View 9 RepliesI am looking at putting a couple small LEDs in the pinch weld area under the doors on the cab. I want to have them come on when I open up a door. Where is the best place to grab power from the door switch circuit for that? The passenger side I was thinking of grabbing it where it goes into the sleeve between the cab and the door, but on the drivers side there are a lot of things in the way to get to that point. Can I pick it up down in the door jamb area? Is there a wire going to the dome light there?
View 8 RepliesGot a 2002 7.3 f550 and the other morning it wouldn't go into high idle. Noticed my parking brake light was off. Messed with the switch and eventually jumped straight from the connector to ground... still no light. The light does illuminate with key on. I have tested the fuses. Where do I go from here? Looking for a wiring diagram....
View 14 RepliesI have a new to me 1999 F250 with the 7.3 engine. The previous owner installed a push button start to get around the ignition actuator being broke. Over the weekend I pulled the column and replaced the actuator but the truck will still not start with the key; with the push button it starts just fine. I'm not getting any power on the starter relay signal wire, so I suspect something in between the key and starter relay. I searched around a bit, but could not find a wiring diagram for a 1999 diesel super duty.
View 3 RepliesUpon trying to start my 2003 f250, it keeps blowing the 15A "Transmission Range Sensor then to Starter Relay Coil" fuse. Initially the truck would still start if i did not use the aftermarket Viper keyless start. however, now it doesn't start at all and keeps blowing fuses. I contacted the guy that installed the alarm thinking it might be something on his end. He walked me through reconnecting the factory starter wires which would isolate the issue if it was something on his end. it's still blowing fuses. battery terminals are good and clean.

I am needing to add a relay, however, i need to strap the coil of it with a diode to protect the frigging cluster (the new dodges aren't very mod friendly!). My question is, should I add a second diode before the relay to protect the cluster against back emf, or will the one strapped across the relay coil be enough?
Since I am sure you're curious now, the cargo light (light that lights up the bed) gets its power from the gauge cluster of all places. I need to add a relay to the cargo light circuit to drive some other lights, and I am worried the back emf from the relay coil will fry the cluster circuitry.
2003 Ford excursion 7.3. Above the drivers side front tire, the hard inner plastic made contact with the hard line above the frame.. Cut the line. I can't tell if this line is 1 piece towards the reservoir since its hidden from my quick inspection. Looking for a schematic on replacing this line?

I have an '03 Ranger and the guys have figured out how to make the front side marker lights function as turn signal indicators..... I haven't tried it yet myself, but wonder if I could do the same thing with my Dually's fender clearance lights? I am currently running LEDs in there in amber for front and red for rear....they are nice and bright, but I think they would offer some added safety as well as looking neat too. May be I'll re-read the info on the Ranger site......

I actually think it is obd 1 on our trucks but you get the idea. My truck doesn't have power to the plug I guess. I have a guy plug in a scanner to take a look at everything but he said the plug wouldn't power up his scanner. Just trying to get this fixed. Another question, if I buy a AE does that require the truck to power up the software or does it get powered my the laptop?
View 11 Replies2013 F350 Lariat with the factory OEM rear view camera. I am replacing the tailgate with a 5th wheel tailgate for a few months and would like to still retain the convince of a rear view camera.
I have obtained a Ford camera harness to use as a jumper for a non OEM camera which comes with the standard basic RCA wiring which I plan to mount to the bottom of the 5th wheel tailgate.
My hope is to wire the camera direct to the Ford wire harness which is a 6 wire pigtail. Which wires on the camera mate to which wire on the trucks wire harness.
I need to connect a remote start stop for a bucket truck attachment to this new 2016 F550. Found everything except the ignition wiring harness diagram. Need to know what I can tie in to.

View 9 RepliesWhile doing a visual inspection I noticed that the AIH hot wire (captured nut wire) had broken off and was laying loose. I removed the wire from the relay and made a new 8 gauge wire, I connected it to the relay and was about to add it to the AIH when I got a healthy spark ( it touched the ground wire ) and yes the truck was not running and the key was out at the time.
This sounds to me like the relay has gone south, am I right??? I have a new OEM relay to install but I have a question. In what order are the wires and ceramic fitting go on the AIH post???
The relay for the fuel pump keeps going bad. Is this a sign my fuel pump is going ? I just replaced my 2nd relay ( lasted about 1 week ) 1st lasted 16 years. Or is there another issue to look at ?
