Anyway, what color the (+) reverse light wire is under the dash?
I have a 2005 F250 Power stroke w/ brake controller installed. There is no voltage to the trailer brake (blue wire) pin. I've checked all of the fuses and they appear to be okay.
View 5 RepliesI am putting a winch on my trailer and I got an optima marine battery to run the winch. I would like to wire it into my trailer wiring so that it will charge off the truck while its running, but so that it won't draw off the truck's wiring while I'm winching... I'm worried about the size of the wire and the fuse on the factory hitch wiring. I'm probably not going to be doing any extended winching, just pulling things up on the trailer. I may just unhook it from the wiring whenever I'm winching?

View 9 RepliesThe Battery Light flashes on 2002 excursion 7.3l. I have been having a problem for several months, one of the batteries ended up being shot, alternator checks out. Problem is there is nor rhyme or reason as to when or if the light will flash, it is not consistent with a shorted wire that is bouncing around and grounding out.
View 14 RepliesI have a 99 f150 XL 4.6, 5 speed. I spent some time tracing the leads around the ignition system to find the EDIS module. The purpose of this is to install a aftermarket tach coming off the EDIS. This seems to be a simple approach and I have a pin diagram handy for it. I am initially shying away from tapping into the EEC. Maybe better yet, what wire color to splice behind the gauge cluster that would be useful too.

He wanted me to add puddle lights like i have on my truck. On my truck I tapped into the wires going to the oem lighted running boards. On his truck it looks like whoever removed those wires, I can not find them. So I thought, I would grab the front door lights as I believe they turn on when you unlock the doors along with the overhead lights. The lights, bulbs, socket and wiring are missing on both sides. Like someone took the time to pull the wires out of the harness or something. Nothing to be found. We pulled both door panels looking for them and nothing. So I would like to find a wire that i can grab power from that is triggered by the unlock button...

View 1 RepliesI inhereted a prius 2005 and need some education. It has 75000 miles and the battery level stays between the green and blue mostly. I was stuck in bad traffic and as I watched the battery level sucked down rapidly - to the point that I started turning it off and on to save on the battery - is this normal? Is there some switch/button i should press in this situation? I couldn't find anything in the manual.
Also - is there some technique in driving that would charge the battery better? I have just used my first full tank of gas and my mileage was 48 miles/gallon, so I'm pretty happy. I will be driving 30 miles each way to work, mostly at 60/70 mph - but as we know, traffic jams happen.

I bought a new radio for him prior to the "CUT" and the new radio comes with a simple wire harness (2 green, 2 purple, 2 white, 2 grey). The picture shows the factory wires attached to factory module. The "New" speaker wire harness identifies which wire is for what speaker but I need to know what factory speaker wire would attached to the new wires. Based on the picture, how to identify the speaker wires and determine which wire goes to which speaker?

I'm looking to add some extra running lights on my trailer, also want to put a couple of lights on each running board on the truck, they will be tied in with the trailer harness since it is not monitored by the BCM. I did a search on this a few different ways and couldn't find anything.
