1997 F150 - Getting an airbag code 33. PAD light is still functional. Some googling suggests a sensor in the passenger seat belt but I think mine is too old for that.
View 3 RepliesLooking to see how to repair my blinking light. Code reads a 27, most what I've read says it's a PAD light, which this truck does not have. It has been in an accident, both airbags deployed. Since then both seat belts & bags have been replaced, nothing else.
View 7 RepliesI had been having battery issues with my 97 ford f150 4.6 liter for the longest time, thought i had a short under dash, i pulled entire dash out, disconnecting bat first of course, and inspected all wiring harness connections and fixing my issues and putting it all back together. now with new bat and all put back together i am now getting the airbag light flashing 5 times then 2 times (error code 52) i know it has some thing to do with power failure or backup battery, but now with the new battery in i cant seem to get it to reset. How to do this?

It has only started doing this since last night when I replaced my factory tape deck with a factory Cd player from a 2002 F-150.
View 14 RepliesYesterday I replaced the bulbs in my heater controls, today I have the Airbag light on, flashing 2/7. And when I turn off the passenger airbag, the "OFF" light does not come on. I've heard if the "OFF" light goes out, you replace the switch, would that possibly cause this code?
View 14 RepliesWell, I bought a used 2003 Escape for my daughter and without thoroughly researching the airbag light, now have a problem. The light flashes twice, pause, then once, so I think this is error code 21? I cannot find anything on what this code is and how to fix it. I disconnected battery for an hour and now I get 4 flashes, pause, 6 flashes, 46 error.

today all of the sudden my ford f150 5.4 liters speedometer started to not work and the airbag light came on while it was having trouble shifting! the windshield wipers don't work as well! checked all fuses! after messing around with smacking things under the hood it started to shift right but has a glitch in the electrical and it sounds like it's trying to start( this is while it's running) it's all glitchy...

The only threads I can find are for the airbag light flashing which mine does not do. The passenger airbag light is not burnt out so that's not the problem. Where to start looking.
View 2 RepliesNew, to me, 2002 F-150 that developed heater core leak. I tore down the dash and replaced the heater core and reassembled everything.
All is good except that now the air bag light on the instrument cluster stays on continuously. There is no blinking...just a solid light that stays on.
I must have missed a connection, though I'm at a loss because I thought I got everything. Is there an obvious (though not obvious to me) connector that I should be looking for?
I bought a 01 F150 with the 5.4 motor in it not much over a year ago. The truck needed quite a few things but the price was right. I have been dreading fixing one issue I knew about when I bought the truck. I figured I would ask here before contemplating taking my 12 year old truck to ford.
I have done quite a bit of reading about the airbag codes and in some cases people suggested the passenger switch led can burn out causing the light to occur. Here's what I know,
The truck has not been in a accident. I bought it from the owners son who only knew where to put gas in the truck. The father took care of the truck and he assured me it was not accident related for what it's worth.
Upon start up there are no flashes of the airbag light. From the time the key is turned ign. on to the time I shut the truck off it is a solid light. Early this spring I soldered a new led in the passenger on/ off switch with no change. I wonder if the switch is bad but I did not see a proper way to test it.
A airbag light code reader would seem to possibility but I have not seen any auto-part stores that borrow that type and my obd2 scanner cannot pull those codes. Where to start with troubleshooting?
Just bought a 2002 F-250 4x4 Off-Road Crew Cab 7.3L and the airbag light is staying on. I have found out after the fact that the truck has been previously involved in a front end collision. The damage was to the passenger side front. I turn the ignition on, the airbag light will come on solid (just like all the rest, with the exception of the 4x4 and 4x4 low) then go out. Then it flashes slowly 2x then 5x, then goes out for a bit then repeats a few times before staying on. This tells me I am getting a code of 25. I have searched with no luck to narrow this issue down. Everything mechanically works, cruise, horn, etc. The only thing I can find wrong is when I engage the 4-wheel drive (floor shifter) the indicator lights do not illuminate in the instrument cluster. Neither the 4x4 nor the 4x4 low. I am unfamiliar with this truck, so I don't know where to began searching. I cant afford to take it to a dealer and I have children in the truck quite often, so I would like to remedy this very quickly.
View 9 RepliesAbout a year ago, my airbag indicator light threw a code 47. It did this for about two days, then it stopped. Fast forward to this weekend, and it started again. From what I can tell, it is the passenger side seat belt pretensioner. It could be a coincidence, but my daughter pulled the seat recline lever without anyone being in the seat, causing it to fly forward as if James Bond was ejecting someone through the windshield. The next time I started my truck, it was throwing the code. I tried to check to see if the plug was knocked loose during the ejection sequence. I thought the connector was under the passenger seat, but I don't see any wiring (the passenger seat is manual). My next guess was behind the glove box, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for.
My truck is a 2001 F250 4x4 Lariat.
Every time I start the truck, the Passenger Side Airbag light is on, which is saying the airbag is turned "OFF." I have to push the button to turn the light off, which turns the airbag "ON." How do I reset this to where the airbag is "ON" until I turn it "OFF?"

View 5 RepliesIt is a 1997 Ford f150 5.4 4x4 extended cab 175k miles. Took a 600 mile trip, first 300 no problems, then the "od" light began flashing, the truck shifted fine so I kept going, drove for about a 100 miles then stopped for fuel and read the code, (p1728) cleared the code and drove another 200 miles, no light no problem. The whole time there was no drivability issues. Yesterday I drove all over town, stop and go traffic, locking the TC and it would also unlock, no problems all day, drivability was fine. What to do?
1. Just keep driving it?
2. Does changing fluid fix this problem?
3. Rebuild the trans, because this was just the first notice.
4. Sell it quick no light and drives fine.?
