Driver side seatbelt wont retract back up i have to push it in and sometimes it will suck it up but most of the time it wont is there a way to take it apart and clean it maybe?
View 9 RepliesSo I was trying to track down this squeak noise and I removed the drivers side seat belt but now the belt will not retract? It's stuck like this, is there a manual release? Buying another one is not a option right now. And I have to drive the car tomorrow morning.
View 1 RepliesDad's truck 2012 regular cab. Seat belt doesn't like to retract on it's own. The retracter(next to your left butt cheek) works fine, or so it seems. The belt seems to get caught in the swivel mount above your shoulder. I've tried a piece of sand paper in between the belt and the plastic but it doesn't work any better. Is there a way to adjust the retracter? Looking for a solution before we close the buckle in the door frame and have bigger issues...
View 2 RepliesI recently just purchased a 97 celica st limited edition. I am in love with everything about it except one thing. The seat belts only retract when I turn the car off.... As long as the car is running the seat belts will not retract at all. Once I turn it off the seat belt instantly pulls tight. I'm at a loss and have tried searching online but have not found anything.

View 1 RepliesI have a 2000 V6 F150 and replaced my alternator in about five minutes and now have been trying to re-install the serpentine belt for about 6 hours. How do you grab the tensioner pulley?
Also I selected the 130 amp new manufactured alternator at Advanced. Auto thinking the 130 amp might be somewhat of an upgrade to my original Motorcraft Alt and after several hours I also discovered them. pulley on the new alternator is about a quarter inch larger in diameter than the original alternator. I wonder if I should compensate for a half inch longer belt or try to get the same one on.
In any case I cannot find a way to grab and move the belt tensioner to allow me to reinstall the belt around the alternator. Are there any pictures anywhere on how to move the tensioner to create slack when reinstalling the belt?
I have a 2000 Regular Cab Work Truck with non power split bench seat. The passenger side back will not hook in the up position.
Before diving into it. Is the mechanism broken or is it something I can fix if I tear it apart? There is nothing stuck under or behind that I can tell.
Isn't the driver's seat supposed to scoot back automatically when you turn the key off to ease entry and exit???

View 9 RepliesI recently bought a 2003 Ford Ranger. What I want to do is unhook the seat belt chime. In the past with the other 3 Rangers I owned I unplugged it from under the seat. But when I unplugged this one the light for the air bag stayed on. I like the freedom to choose and I don't care for the chime.

Purchased with a broken latch assembly the drivers side middle row...promptly replaced for $70. Today, it is broke again, less than a year. I am going to do some more investigating as to HOW this happened TWICE.
Chipped, broken housing on their middle latch assembly? It breaks the black part first, which holds the guts in alignment....once the black part slips down or up to far...the guts do not function.
Trying to change the pads on my 2003 F250. One of the boots is not retracting smoothly. Any recommendations?
I can't get the caliper to bolt back on and I think this is the issue.
just got a new Passat 2008, 6 MT, when I go on the freeway the passenger seat belt winding starts rattling, I have to buckle it for the rattling to stop. also, it seems like the passenger seat appears to be vibrating but the car itself is fine.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2003 f150 4.2 v8. and i have a squeaky belt I am almost positive its the belt i went to change it today but being sick,cold (NY), getting dark having just worked 10 hrs and changing oil it was not going well.
The reason I think its the belt it does not squeak when its really cold out but once it warms up a little its back so I am thinking when it gets warm it stretches out a little and when its cold it shrinks up or am I just crazy..
I have an 03 F250 with the seatbelts that are integrated into the seats and they dont retract. I have tried to remove them to see if I could fix them some how but all I could do is remove the plastic cover that is just above the left shoulder of the driver seat. How to remove the entire mechanism?
View 14 RepliesI have a F150, 97, 4.6L. I changed my Suspension belt, and now my A/C compressor is not engaging. This has happened before, and when I took it to the shop, they called me and said the A/C works just fine. They did not tell me why the A/C stopped engaging or what they did. I tried to locate a relay fuse, but I can't find it.
View 5 RepliesBeen trying to isolate my noisy serpentine belt. Had the belt off and spun everything, only thing I found that made any noise was the alternator. It had a nice churp like a bearing was on its way out in it. So I replaced that figuring my squeak was going to go away. No such luck. Listening to it again while it was idling, I crawled underneath. Almost seems like the churping noise is coming from the Crank Pulley. Is there a bearing on this pulley that goes bad?

View 1 RepliesNeed to know if there is a kit available to fix cigarette burns in seat upholstery? I bought a 99 f150 to use for parts on my 2000 f150 and I want to use the drivers side seat. The previous owner smoked and there are a few little burns in the seat. Other than getting the smoke stink out, and the little holes. the seat is in great condition. The lumbar support is broke in my 2000s seat, and the seat cover is torn. that's the reason I want the "smokey" seat.
