No matter where I put the selector it blows out the floor, the defrosters and the air cond vents, which I have to keep closed. It doesn't switch the air flow anymore. What gives?
View 4 RepliesComing home from work tonight, Radio turned down, Air off/Heat off. Whats the sound coming from the dash around the radio/heater controls/ vents? Can't really explain the noise, but its like a boiling/clicking/scratching noise.
View 14 RepliesJust recently replaced the driver side 4wd actuator. When testing the system to see if it was working, I noticed that in 2wd everything seemed to be in order (wheel spun without the half shaft, no grinding noises on test drive, seemed good to go).
However, when I switched to 4hi, the dash light "4HI" would come on but the wheel still spun freely without the half shaft. When the truck was off, the wheel and half shaft spun together as they should when vacuum is released from the actuator. When I switched to 4lo, the dash light did not come on and the check engine light came on. Pulling codes revealed P0171 and P0174.
Could these codes be caused by a bad solenoid? Is the solenoid not switching the vacuum off and that's my issue? Are there other possibilities?
Truck was running fine, then just shut off, while driving thru town. Would not start any more that day. Would try to turn over, but, seemed like it wasn't getting gas. The next day it would crank up and run for a short time and then shut off again. This went on for about a week. Installed a new fuel pump and had same results. Checked fuel pump while out and got a strong stream. Fuel filter was clean, but, replaced anyway.
170,000 miles, regular maintenance.
I have a 2004 Screw lariat. When i turn the truck off, the locks no longer unlock automatically. Also when I press the unlock on my key fob, the headlights flash, but the doors do not unlock. And the driver side lock/unlock switch is no longer working either.. could this be a broken wire?

View 2 RepliesI have a 2008 F150 Super Crew 4x4 when you press the unlock button on the remote all the doors unlock, it use to be one push for drivers door and two would unlock all doors. I think the problem started after I had the battery changed out, how to get it back to one push for drivers door only?
View 2 RepliesI have an 04 sport trac adrenalin. Just bought it a week ago. I have a couple questions.
#1. Do the adrenalin models have a limited slip diff?
#2. My speedometer works whenever it wants to, is this just a cluster issue?
#3. All of the window switches on the other doors don't work.
My rear window switch works fine. The driver door controls all the windows just fine. Each separate door switch doesn't work. But say you're rolling the passenger door window down from the driver door, and you hit the passenger door switch, it will still interrupt it and stop rolling the window down.
See the video about my prius. its 2008 with 59k miles . It wont start anymore, I tried to jump without and with the trunk battery but nothing happens, it goes in park but it wont go to reverse or drive.

Someone had posted that they had gotten a replacement from their dealer. I went to my dealer and all he would sell me was THE WHOLE SHIFT UNIT. All I need is to pop the little cap on top of the shifter, not replace the entire unit.
What I was wondering is if you have gotten just the cap from your dealer, what might the part number be so I can get one.
It is true that, for a supercharged engine is beneficial to have some back pressure in the exhaust? I have a 2007 FX4 whipple supercharged, 5.4L, 3V, no cat, true dual X 2.5 ", I have no tailpipe emissions problems in my country, my problem is the power to the wheels. I install a high flow catalytic converters?.
The Magnaflow 94106 is what many people recommend but in this forum, people from Bear Rivers says he does not meet the high flows, what is the correct part number.
I have a 4.56 ratio 315/70R17 tires and power makes lose significantly?, is this true?. I have a big question, in particular point 1, because I think I lost torque at low rpm and, according to what I read, maybe this escape as free to be affecting the successful performance of the engine.
I have a 2002 F-150 that is showing a code indicating "EGR insufficient flow". I replaced the EGR valve and cleared the light/code, but the "check engine light" keeps coming back on and code indicates the same problem. What may be causing the light to keep coming on, even after replacing the EGR valve?
View 14 RepliesAC on a R32 TURBO with fmic is working and cold. blowing around 55* in the shop, idling outside for a long time. everything works great.
drive it about 20 minutes or so.... get hot and doesn't work anymore. pressures are good, fans both work, car doesn't heat up past where it should be.
With my wife's Prius, my key doesn't work anymore, wirelessly. I thought that putting the key into the slot would possibly recharge a battery in the key, but even after very long trips, the key will not unlock the car if it's in my pocket. I can only unlock or lock the doors by removing the actual key in the fob. And then I can only start the car with the key fob in the dash holder. I assume there has to be a battery in there, so is it replaceable by the dealer?

View 7 RepliesI am preparing to combat the old P0401, Insufficient flow issue. While looking at the steps in Alldatadiy the very first decision essentially forks on "EGR System Module" or "Others".
I am just guessing that, since the choice is there, some engines will have one and some will have the other. But I thought I'd come here and see if I could learn a little more about it.
How can I tell what my truck has? I'm sure there is some difference...
I would like to add the stereo controls to my steering wheel. From what I gathered it can be done by just buying the buttons and the taking it to the stealership to flash the computer to get them to work? BTW This is on my 06 XLT Scab.
View 1 RepliesLooking for the wiring diagram for the steering wheel controls for the head unit, mainly which wire is volume. I bought a new head unit for my 04 f150 truck and cant find the wiring diagram online to figure it out. I know there are 3 separate connections.
1 main one for power, gnd, ant, speakers, etc..
1 for the subwoofer if your truck came with it which mine did.
1 for the steering wheel controls if your truck came with it which mine did.
I want to know what the different color wires are connected to on the steering wheel control connection. i have had no luck searching online for about an hour. I know I could buy an adapter but really only want the volume to work and figured if I could just tap into that one wire and connect it to my new head unit.
The heater on my 2001 ford F150 is not heating. The blower is working, the inlet hose is hot, the outlet hose is cold. Removal of hoses confirms that there is very limited flow through the heater core. I flushed it but got only minimal improvement. However when I back flush (reversing the flow through the core) the flow is great. Here's the question: Can I reverse the flow through the heater core on a permanent basis? It seems this would give the needed flow of hot fluid through the core to allow heating. Is there a problem with doing this?
View 14 RepliesMy key fob doesn't open the tailgate window anymore. No noise that it unlocked, nothing. I tried the spare fob, same results. What would be entailed in repairing this? I changed a tailgate door actuator a few years ago & found that rather easy (with YouTube) so am not afraid to attempt it. I've searched around the web & haven't found anything useful.
Also, I do not see a manual way to open it. Am I right in assuming the fob is the only way?
I have a 2013 Accent SE and am having trouble with the trunk release -- it doesn't work. It looks like the part in the trunk may have come loose or something.
