2013, 6000 miles, parked in garage Fri night and Sat morning would not start, no lights no electrical at all. Charged all day Sat and today still would not start or any signs of starting. Battery clean and tight.

We are about to head out on a 2 week camping trip. We will be at one site for the entire 2 weeks, and the truck will be driven very little during that time. Problem is that numerous people go in and out of the truck many times per day, x2 weeks. My previous tow vehicle had a means for turning off the interior lights during the daytime, when the doors would be constantly opening and closing.
This truck has interior lights and exterior lights and puddle lights and probably lights I don't even know about that come on and stay on for about 15-20 seconds every time the door opens. It has a funky rocker switch, that I hate, for the dash lights, that doesn't seem to turn off the interior lights. (I forgot the owners manual for the truck at a relatives place a week ago, so I can't check in there). Is there a way to manually keep the lights off during the day to save my battery?
I have a 2013 FX4 (crew cab) and cannot figure out how to turn on the courtesy lights! I can get them to work individually by pressing the edge of the lights, but I believe the dimmer switch to the left of the steering wheel should turn them all on (both front and back).
The manual says to push the dash dimmer switch until they come on, but that does not work! An acquaintance has a 2103 Lariat and he can turn his on using the switch, but no luck for me. I was looking in some of my literature I saved when I bought the truck thinking this feature may have been buried in some package that I did not get. Am I missing something?
I just bought a 2013 F150 STX with a 5.0. I love the truck, but I can't get the back up lights to work. Checked all the fuses, and changed out a few relays with no luck.
View 9 RepliesI don't have any lights or gauges working at all. The sonata car picture comes up when I get in but once the car is started this goes away too. Headlights and interior lamp is about the only thing working on the car. 2013 Hyundai Sonata?
View 2 Replieson my '13 STX, when you press the "unlock" button on the remote, the running lights come on and stay on for a while. It does this when I open the door as well. Is there a way to disable this? I really have no need for this feature and it will burn the bulbs out sooner.

View 14 RepliesI have a 2013 F150 XLT 4X4 with the 5.0. It has 53k miles on it and I purchased it new. A few days ago I tried staring my truck, and on the 5th attempt it finally started. Well I went and replaced the battery because it tested weak. It happened again this morning and it didn't start. I had to have it towed to a mechanic. It turns over strong so I'm thinking it may be a fuel problem. It's not a security issue regarding the smart key. I tried my wife's key and still It didn't start.
View 14 RepliesI've only had my '13 STX with the 5.0 for a little over a month now, but it seems like the past few days, something's caught my attention. As soon as I start my truck when cold, the idling engine seems to have more vibration than normal, which is to say I can notice a distinct vibration in the cab. It only does this for about 10-15 seconds, and then the vibration goes away when it idles down. The truck still runs and drives fine, and I only notice this when I start the truck without it already being warmed up. I don't recall noticing this the first few weeks I owned the truck, but I also wonder if I'm over-analyzing matters as well.
View 5 RepliesI had parked my 2010 Prius in the garage overnight, the next morning it was completely dead. No lights on the dash. Nothing. I don't think I had left a door ajar or the lights on or anything. Can't be sure, though. So the car was dead, I called my Dad, (just like always) because he knows stuff, is an electrical engineer, even has his very own Prius. I thought it would be fun for him to charge it and we were a little afraid together (quality time!). We carefully followed the instructions in the book. Nothing went poof. The car started right away, everything worked fine. Off I went. I took my dad's portable charging thingy just in case.
View 14 Replies2013 ecoboost bought new. Every winter 3-5 times, typically when temps get low( Kansas City), and truck left outside without starting for 12+ hours. I will get to my truck and it won't even unlock with key fob. Put cables to it and within seconds the alarm is beeping and I move directly to ignition and it fires right up. Had battery tested just this week and again nothing is wrong with it. Has not been to dealship, cuz I just kept telling myself I must of been leaving something inside the truck on and that's why it won't start. But I am beyond that now and with how fast everything starts once I get cables on it, I feel the battery is not getting drained. So it has done it speractically for 4 winters, maybe once during summer months and just everything is dead when i get to truck. No lights no entry no dash.
View 12 RepliesYesterday had a issue with my new truck, (less than 2500 miles), pulled up to a stop sign and the low oil pressure warning light came on and truck just died and wouldn't start back up, checked oil and put some in and it still wouldn't start, called Ford roadside asst. and right before they showed up it started. Still had it towed to dealership and they're still looking at!!! It's got the 5.0

Am I doing something wrong, leaving a door not shut all the way etc.... Are there any parimiters where it won't remote start and just "beep" the horn?
I've got a 2013 ecoboost with 31,000 mile on it. Generally it's been good but at 30,000 mile it started sounding like a diesel on cold starts. Usually after sitting overnight the first start rattles like a 6.0 liter diesel for about 3-8 seconds then it's quiet. It won't do it again all day usually. The dealer says there's no codes so everything it all good. It never did this until I hit 30,000 miles.
View 11 RepliesI've been out of town for a week and left my almost new 2010 sitting in my carport spot. When I just went outside to start her up it is completely dead. Keyless entry wouldn't work so I used the key that pops out. Put the key by the start button and tried starting. Nothing happens. No lights. No nothing.
I guess I could have left something on maybe? This is pretty concerning! I don't know what to do! I don't even know how to jump start the thing. Would Toyota tow it for me for free if needed?
Last time this truck did this, I replaced the #27 fuse and it started right up. This time, no such luck. It is EXTREMELY frustrating to pay this much money for a truck that you cant start. Btw, it has 38 miles until its on empty.. Any way that could be the cause if i am parked in my drive way which has a slight incline?

I got a 2010 F-150 and just installed RECON headlights and taillights on my truck yesterday. Today, I went to go and use my remote start and the lights come on like it should and then it beeps 3 times and doesn't start. All my doors are closed. I thought maybe it was something with my hood sensor but I couldn't really find it.
View 4 RepliesI replaced the blower motor resistor on a 2010 F150 with dual climate control where the blower was stuck on high.
After replacing the resistor, now the lower speeds work fine, but when placed on high speed, the fan completely shuts down. Replace with the old resistor, and it only runs on high.
How to proceed, or what else might be the problem?

My friend has a clunk/lag on take off from a dead stop only. Drives fine down the road, but when taking off from a complete stop, you step on the gas, and nothing happens for a second, feels like it lags, then clunks, gives a jerk, and takes off.
From talking to other newer Ford owners, seems like a common problem.
I was just curious what the best way to increase initial acceleration from a dead stop is for a 2009 F- 150 XLT with a 5.4 V-8.
