I thought I saw someone had converted the reflectors on the front of the side mirrors to turn signal flashers on the 2010-2012 F150. Where I can find that write up?
View 1 RepliesI have just bought on 09 XLT, and wouldn't you know it, I was behind a Lariet that made a left hand turn, and then I saw something my truck does not have... the turn signal LED at the bottom left hand side of it's mirror. And guess what? Now I want that too! I have seen some other threads about this on other web sites, but as far as I am concerned, this site is the last word on anything Ford truck! I have a couple of questions:
What is the Ford part # for the mirror turn signal lights? Also I would like to install the reflectors in front of the mirrors so I can add LEDs to them too. What is the part numbers for the front reflectors? And lastly, I would like to try not to tear up more than I need too, so would there already be the turn signal wires I could connect inside the mirror housing? Or since this does not have that option from the factory am I going to have to take the mirror off the truck and run those myself?
I have a 2011 f150 xlt it didn't come with the mirrors that have turn indicators on them they have the dummy covers. Putting the indicators in there....
View 3 RepliesJumped in the truck this evening to go to the store and when I stared it up the left turn signal was blinking. Lifted the arm as usual to cancel and it does not cancel. Cannot get the left signal off unless I hold the turn signal up for the right signal. The right signal does not activate, but the left does go out as long as I hold the arm up. Let go and the left starts blinking again. Tried driving around to see if it would cancel and no luck. The bulbs are all good. I checked the relays in the fuse panel and they are good. Dang thing just won't shut off. It is a 2011 F150 SCREW Platinum w/5.0.

The turn signals/hazard flasher on my 99 Sebring Jxi stopped working a couple of weeks ago. When I use the signal lever or press the hazard flasher switch, you don't hear any click of the flasher relay, and the lights (front and rear, and on the dash) don't light up at all.
So far, I have:
* Checked the fuse
* Replaced the flasher
* Replaced the turn signal switch
* Replaced the flasher AGAIN (mechanic says that if there was a problem with the turn signal switch, it can burn out the flasher)
* Checked the fuse AGAIN, and even replaced it (even though it's the same fuse for the wiper/washer, and that's still working)
I asked my mechanic about it, and he said that a bad ground can also cause problems. The big question is: where do I begin to look?
Driving the wife's 150 EB today and is it just me or is the noise made by the turn signal relay really loud??
View 14 Replies2014 lariat crew w/10k miles...let son drive it on date & somehow came back with snapped off turn signal/multi-switch...had local mechanic replace-now button on end doesn't activate wipers or washer spray (actual wiper switch works, as does dimmer function & signals). Mechanic rechecked & says all ok but switch may need to be programmed by dealer...really?? Seems like it would b plug-n-play. Why just the washer function wouldn't work?
View 1 RepliesI have read and re-read the owners manual fuse section. Can't find what fuse I blew. I do not have trailer brake or turn signal on either side. I do have running lights on the trailer. Which fuse or fuses control the brake and turn signal lights on a 2012 F-150 ecoboost. I had them all a month ago, but bought a new trailer and first time I pulled it the lights went out. Figured I blew a fuse, but can't find the one! No power at the receiver.

View 9 RepliesI have an issue that popped up on my 2012 F-150 today. I was driving a bit today and when I returned home and shut the truck off I noticed that the right turn signal indicator stayed faintly illuminated. None of the lights outside are affected, and they all work normally, just that the indicator on the dash is staying lit.
The only thing I can see is that last week I smashed up the drivers side mirror and it busted the lens off of the LED lights in the mirror and 1 LED bulb is exposed. It did rain a bit today but I figured it would short out and blow a fuse if anything.
I will undo the negative battery cable tomorrow and see if it will reset, if not I will have te dealer check it out when I drop it off to have the roof reprinted next week.
Looking for a tutorial on how to remove the multi-function switch? I have the, seemingly, common issue of wipers not turning off. I bought the new switch, but don't see how to get it out without taking the whole steering wheel off. I can't get to the screws on it at all. I got the plastic covers off, but can't see how to get the switch out.
View 3 Replies98 4wd extended cab. So weird only the right side is not working. Lights in the dash to the lights outside everything is dead.
Fuses that I could find are good. We replaced the mf switch a few months ago.
My issue is i recently have put two different sets of front LED turn signals in my car and only after a day or so they blow out. When i pull out the bulbs they smell burnt. i do have LED turn signals in the rear as well they are plug and play with decoders no resistor required. For the front ones i did add 50W 6Ohm resistors on each side.
View 7 RepliesI have a '13 sonata. I really like the turn signals that newer cars are doing on the outside edges of the mirrors. Without swapping everything out with new mirror shells.
Clarification: Note I want to add the lights to the outside front facing of the mirror buckets Not the ones they do have that attaches behind the mirror portion facing back. so oncoming cars can see the signals......

I am going to be doing a HID retro , and I want to swap out my reflectors for some clear ones. Anything or anyplace I can get large non-vehicle specific reflectors and i can manufacture my own ? I want to keep the car as legal as possible, after my illegal retro (all retro's are illegal )
I have a 1997 GMC Sierra. I had a turn signal out in the front driver side. the old bulb was rusted out so i had to remove it with needle nose pliers. replaced bulb, and now i have absolutely no turn signals at all. not even the clicking noise or the turn signal illuminator in dash. I have since replaced the turn signal relay, but that was no luck.

View 3 RepliesOn my Gen II Prius, I want to swap the Front Side Marker with the Turn Signal. Thus, the Front Side Marker becomes my blinker and the Turn Signal bulb as my Front Marker light. Since I do not have the money or patience to clear out the front orange reflectors, i decided to swap the light functionality. I plan to get some SMD 992 bulbs to replace the current halogen and make them my side markers.
View 5 RepliesMy drivers front signal does not work. its not the bulb. took headlight assembly out and then the passanger side did not work and the drivers side did. check passenger side. now it switched again. now drivers side is out and passenger side works. both parking lights work fine. no clue what's going on
