I need to remove the interior part right above the glove box and replace it because the paint is peeling. If I can get a diagram and where I can order it online would be awesome,if that's possible. Never had this problem before on any ford truck with the interior paint and all I ever do is wipe it down with armor all.

We are about to head out on a 2 week camping trip. We will be at one site for the entire 2 weeks, and the truck will be driven very little during that time. Problem is that numerous people go in and out of the truck many times per day, x2 weeks. My previous tow vehicle had a means for turning off the interior lights during the daytime, when the doors would be constantly opening and closing.
This truck has interior lights and exterior lights and puddle lights and probably lights I don't even know about that come on and stay on for about 15-20 seconds every time the door opens. It has a funky rocker switch, that I hate, for the dash lights, that doesn't seem to turn off the interior lights. (I forgot the owners manual for the truck at a relatives place a week ago, so I can't check in there). Is there a way to manually keep the lights off during the day to save my battery?
Is there a way to turn all interior lights on the dash off when the headlights are off?
It is so bright that you can't see in the dark with everything off without being blinded.
2009 Lariat. Paint peeling off front of dash on airbag cover, vin# says HW for the code what color is that. Can't figure out what HW means, it's either Camel Parchment or Medium Camel Interior don't want to waste money on the wrong vinyl paint.
View 2 RepliesFor my 2013 with HID lights, I'm adding a light bar, and trying to find a good wire to tap into so I can wire in a relay to turn the light bar on with my high beams. As it's going to a relay, I originally thought to use a fuse tap, but the high beam fuse is always powered. Any other wire I can use in the cab?
I'm also looking for an in cab wire for the reverse lights I'm adding. I've been trying to make sense of the wiring diagrams online, but I am not having any success.
Did a search and read the manual and I cant seem to turn of the dome lights when I open the doors. For example... Sometimes my daughter falls asleep and I want to open the door at night without the lights coming on... Or If the mosquitoes are going crazy I might want to turn off the light so I don't get killed... I know I can hold the switch to the right and it turns lights on with doors closed, and hold for a second to the left to turn off. But what about opening the door? I know my old 2007 was able to do this function...

Current Fixes I've completed
Sprayed electrical cleaner in all 4 door latch assemblies (didn't work)
Relubricated all 4 door latch assemblies with food grade lithium grease (didn't work)
Replaced passenger door full latch assembly (didn't work)
What is my next step? I have noticed that if I wedge the door lock button on the driver's side door into the lock position, the door ajar message turns off and stays off? I was thinking wiring or relay issues?
I think the black comb looking things on the bumper look cheap.

View 1 RepliesI'm trying to locate the part number (and a replacement) for the plastic piece that covers the top of the tailgate (when its shut) next to the step. It's about a 12 to 16 inch long piece of plastic which has some broken tabs on it, so everytime I drop the tailgate, it either flies out or starts to... I checked the fische online and I don't even see it in the picture. I did find some one-piece parts called "tailgate spoiler cap" but I didn't find any to fit a 2014 F-250 with the step on the tailgate. Should I just tell the wife to go hot-glue it ?

it says in the ford manual to lift the plastic tabs then pull off, I did that easily with 3 on each side, but the end plug on each side (the one closest to the windshield) does not seem to have a liftable tab (it looks different to the others as its at the end of the cable)
I've almost broken it but not quite, its over $300 for new harness, ouch
I do have the odd little hook tool they sell for this, it worked with the other 3 for sure, but I've spent ages on the 4th on each side and cannot budge either of them
I have seen a lot of threads about air coming from the glove box, I have the same problem. So I open up the glove box and see directly above the cabin filter there are three openings that should be covered with a mesh material. This material has broken and fallen off completely. What is the reason why I couldn't just tape them up, does the material have to be porous?
View 7 RepliesI busted the cable end by not removing it properly. My question is what is the proper method of remove the cable from the throttle body? Are the cable ends replaceable? If so who has them as a google search didn't find any? I've tried to find written information but haven't any luck. bl2009
View 1 RepliesI recently bought a 09 corolla le and when the car is at 55-70 mph and probably other times too, a clicking sound starts. It sounds like a relay picking up and dropping out. So at this speed if I lift my foot it stops or decreases in frequency. When I press accelerator it increases in frequency.
It sounds like it is coming from passenger kick panel or behind glove box. I looked behind kick panel and did not see any relays. I could've over looked it.
There's a lot going on behind the glove box but didn't really see many if any relays. One thing that got my attention was a white cube with what may be a red led at the top of the dash behind the glove box. I also have not taken the time to drive and investigate.
