I have a 2003 F350 with 7.3 L. I was driving down the road the other day and my headlights suddenly went out. I kept diving with my fog lights on and several minutes later the headlights came back on. Then the next day they went out again, came back on and then went out again and they haven't come back on. I have checked all the fuses and they are all good.

View 14 RepliesBought a 08 F350 with the 6.4 Liter, with 80k mikes on it. Was traveling up an incline. Both Turbo's were engaged, when suddenly I lost boost, and PSI dropped all the way down. They barely create any pressure now. Checked intake, also checked boots too inter cooler. All seem fine. After driving it for about five minutes at low PSI, a check engine light came on. It was a sudden loss of power.

View 3 RepliesI own a 1999 F350 CC SRW w/ 7.3L PSD engine. My turn signals stopped working suddenly. I've checked the fuse panel under the dash but it doesn't show any fuse for the turn signals.
My hazards do work although I noticed something very strange. When I tilt the steering column down the hazards stop working and when I tilt the column all the way up they work again. Still no turn signals though.
I have a 2002 F350 V10 and one night I turned the headlights on and when the ignition switch was turned to the off position the lights would go off. When the ignition switch is turned off the lights come back on. I changed the ignition switch but the problem still exists.

The inside seems like it is locked but the locks are all working fine and all the other doors are working just fine .....
View 2 Repliestoday I went out to start the F-250 2003 6.0L, and since I have a head cold and i was supposed to go to some job meeting and there's this weird beeping from a smoke detector in my house I can't turn off and it's keeping me awake= I was a total dip you know what and cranked the truck without warming up the glow plugs. So now it won't start. I don't know EXACTLY if that's why, or what. The batteries are fine. There don't appear to be any wires that jiggled loose. I drove home just fine last night.
I don't want to keep cranking it, obviously. Could this be because I forgot to turn the key and warm up the glow plugs? It's not that cold out, but, I know sometimes with my VWs you really had to do it no matter what.
Given that I may have made this stupid mistake, what are my options now? I don't smell diesel when I open the hood. Should I just wait a while, or should I try to open something up, or what?

No start, no lights dash was gauged was acting odd, and clicking under the dash from behind fuse box. did get it to start after a while, put my foot on the brake to go into drive, never made it ... truck died I do have remote start system thought it was that with the brake pedal issue. disconnected complete system. no change Had it towed, home now no nothing, connect the battery and just clicking from under dash no start ? not a battery, won't even jump Battery is good, the power to starter, Posted this also in light-duty trucks wrong place think this is the better place. View 1 RepliesI've got a 2003 F350 CCSB SRW V10 Auto 4X4 3.73 LS diff. The tranny doesn't always go into overdrive when I get about 40 or 50, even 60. I went down the freeway the other day at 65 in 3rd turning about 2500 rpms. Am I hurting anything here? One thing I have noticed is the overdrive light on the shifter does not work. Light doesn't come on. Leads me to believe that there is a frayed wire in the steering column. Could that cause the tranny to act funny? The cruise control works, so I'm thinking the speed sensor on the diff is ok, but I could be wrong.

I have a 2003 F 350 Diesel. When the heater is on, I can smell diesel fuel through the vent. This happens mainly when I am at a stop sign and the fan is on high. I did some research on this forum and found some others with a similar problem. The question I have is it seems like some said it was the cracked injector cups or a leak at the reservoir on top of the motor where the filter is. What I wasn't sure of was the symptoms. If it is a crack injector cup, would the smell be all the time and not just when I am stopped at a stop sign? Or would it be intermittent as well? It is definitely not exhaust smell. It smells like fuel. If it is the gaskets in the reservoir, I think I will do the blue spring replacement cause that seemed to improve a couple things based on the treads of the forum. I do see drips on the pavement every once in a while at the front of the truck towards the passenger side of the truck. Not all the way to the side near the tire, but off center on the passenger side. Is there anything that could be leaking fuel on that side of the motor?

When the ignition switch is on, there are no headlights.
What's the wheezing sound? Why does the power to the switch quit with the key on? The more I work on modern trucks, the more I like my 1968 f-250.

I was driving on the interstate (50 miles of driving) struggling to maintain 70-75 mph at 2,200RPMs. I would accelerate and RPMs would go up to 3,000 but no speed. Before I could pull off speed slowed to 50 before dying. Sat on the side of the road 30 minutes before I could get it started. Had to give it gas. No misfires just quietly started. Couldn't go over 30 mph. Towed it to my destination 135 miles.
Volts on 7Pin FICM read fine.
Checked the fuel fulters. Air Filter. Tank for debris. Nothing.
My coolant reservoir was lose and I noticed a lot of coolant in the driverside front wheel well and down the left side of the undertruck. Reattached after checking FICM. Hope that was all it was cause I couldn't find any leaks.
I had Planned to have the oil changed before the return trip before this all happened. New to Diesel engines but I like a challenge. Where do I go next?
I recently purchased this 2003 F350 DRW with the 7.3L, automatic trans. Truck has 140k on it. Three times now while the truck has been idling, the engine just died. The first time was a couple of weeks ago when I was pulling out of the driveway. Then again yesterday twice, once while just sitting at a stop sign. Each time it has started right up and ran fine.What is going on here?
View 1 RepliesI have a 2003 F350 6.0 King Ranch. My first diesel truck. Bought it in March 2016. One owner with 102000 miles on it. Has a Bullet Proof oil cooler and 4 inch exhaust. Truck ran great until a week ago. Now, under any hard acceleration it blows out blue/gray smoke and does not seem to have as much power. Coolant level is constant and I cannot find any traces of water and oil mixing.
