What size the pitman arm nut is? And where to get one? I am lifting my truck soon and I'm going to double nut that baby on there. I know they're prone to loosening. I just wanted to have all the parts before I started.
View 4 RepliesI bought a new 2016 F350 SRW and ordered the 17" aluminum wheels with 245 tires specifically to put on my 2005 E250 cargo work van.
I bought 20" Platinums for the F350 and used the existing lug nuts.
Now I need the flat faced washer type lug nuts for the van so I can use the new aluminum wheels. Are they the same thread as the F350?
Im just about due for some new tires before this next michigan winter. I have 18" rims with the stock 275/70s. What size can i go up to with out any trouble?
Also. I have michellin ltx/2 now. Mostly highway miles with some muddy job sites and also to my 8000lb camper 6 times a year.
I put on a pro comp 6" lift a few months ago and every week or two I have to crawl under the truck and tighten up that damm pit man arm nut...I can tell when it starts to get loose because the steering wheel gets sloppy...I have put red loctite and have gotten that nut as tight as I can get it with about a 3ft tube on the end of my wrench for extra leverage and still comes loose! I'm just about to grab my welder and fix it that way but there must be a better way!
View 14 RepliesI'm planning on doing a 2" level. Will I need a drop pitman arm, or can I stick with the stock pitman arm? Will I need anything else? I plan on doing the level when I replace my coil springs and shocks. (I have another thread on that). I'm driving a 2000 F250 V10 2WD CC SB (twin I-beam front axle) if that info is pertinent to this question.
View 2 RepliesI made a bone head mistake and crunched the steel brake line between the rear axle and the passenger side sway bar mount. Truck is a 2003 F-250 with a 7.3. I would like to go to the auto parts store, get bulk steel brake line and bend it myself. But, I don't know what size the line is or what size the fittings are. Whatare the sizes???
View 3 RepliesSo just as I think I have it figured out what size tire and wheel combo I want to go with, I began thinking about going from an 18" wheel to a 17". I can save some cash, have a few more tire size options and save on tire weight.
I know alot of guys go up to a 20" setup but that's just not my preference on trucks.
Any negative to doing this? 315/75/17 tire size interests me. Had that on a Wrangler and liked the look. Going to look a little more at 17" sizes before deciding.
I am looking to replace the 4x4 offroad sticker on the side of the bed and wanted to know the dimensions. I've been looking on eBay because dealer wants way too much for stickers. just want to make sure I get the correct size.

I have a 2003 Ford F-350 6.0 it's srw lariat edition it has Manual hubs but electronic 4x4 switch I have changed all fuses and relays but still the light won't come on I've tried manually locking the hubs and still nothing....
View 1 RepliesI've got a 2003 F350 CCSB SRW V10 Auto 4X4 3.73 LS diff. The tranny doesn't always go into overdrive when I get about 40 or 50, even 60. I went down the freeway the other day at 65 in 3rd turning about 2500 rpms. Am I hurting anything here? One thing I have noticed is the overdrive light on the shifter does not work. Light doesn't come on. Leads me to believe that there is a frayed wire in the steering column. Could that cause the tranny to act funny? The cruise control works, so I'm thinking the speed sensor on the diff is ok, but I could be wrong.

View 6 RepliesIt doesn't say on the window and in the owners manual I should have a 23 or a 35. The most I've put in my truck is 29.somthing and I had 3 miles till empty and the needle was in the red. I'm thinking I have a 30 gallon tank but how can I find out for sure.

I have a 2003 f350 v-10 drove it yesterday to get fuel, went to start it after fueling. No start, no lights dash was gauges were acting odd, and clicking under dash from behind fuse box. did get it to start after a while, put my foot on brake to go into drive, never made it ... truck died I do have remote start system thought it was that with the brake pedal issue. disconnected complete system. no change
Had it towed, home now no nothing, connect battery and just clicking from under dash no start ? not battery, wont even jump
I have a 2003 F350 with 7.3 L. I was driving down the road the other day and my headlights suddenly went out. I kept diving with my fog lights on and several minutes later the headlights came back on. Then the next day they went out again, came back on and then went out again and they haven't come back on. I have checked all the fuses and they are all good.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2003 F 350 Diesel. When the heater is on, I can smell diesel fuel through the vent. This happens mainly when I am at a stop sign and the fan is on high. I did some research on this forum and found some others with a similar problem. The question I have is it seems like some said it was the cracked injector cups or a leak at the reservoir on top of the motor where the filter is. What I wasn't sure of was the symptoms. If it is a crack injector cup, would the smell be all the time and not just when I am stopped at a stop sign? Or would it be intermittent as well? It is definitely not exhaust smell. It smells like fuel. If it is the gaskets in the reservoir, I think I will do the blue spring replacement cause that seemed to improve a couple things based on the treads of the forum. I do see drips on the pavement every once in a while at the front of the truck towards the passenger side of the truck. Not all the way to the side near the tire, but off center on the passenger side. Is there anything that could be leaking fuel on that side of the motor?

View 3 RepliesWhat is the thread size/length of the 20 transmission pan bolts on the 4R100? I am replacing the pan since the rust has finally started weeping ATF, and the bolts need to be replaced as well, they have turned into little rusty nubs. So i want to use stainless ones. I could pull one and go to the hardware store, but what is the size i can stop on the way home.
