Im just about due for some new tires before this next michigan winter. I have 18" rims with the stock 275/70s. What size can i go up to with out any trouble?
Also. I have michellin ltx/2 now. Mostly highway miles with some muddy job sites and also to my 8000lb camper 6 times a year.
I bought a new 2016 F350 SRW and ordered the 17" aluminum wheels with 245 tires specifically to put on my 2005 E250 cargo work van.
I bought 20" Platinums for the F350 and used the existing lug nuts.
Now I need the flat faced washer type lug nuts for the van so I can use the new aluminum wheels. Are they the same thread as the F350?
What size the pitman arm nut is? And where to get one? I am lifting my truck soon and I'm going to double nut that baby on there. I know they're prone to loosening. I just wanted to have all the parts before I started.

View 14 RepliesI've looked at this 10 ways to Sunday, but the play on words have me questioning if it is the same thing. My truck says Tire Pressure Monitor Fault. I have a 2011 F350, if that makes a difference. I checked all my tires, they are about 80psi each, front and back. What could be the problem? Is it something to take to a Ford Dealer or something I can fix myself?

Stock tire pressure for stock tires 275/70R18 states 65 PSI for the front and 75 PSI for the rear.
The truck currently has 295/65R18 tires all around. They are some sort of Wrangler tire, not sure of exact model, but they are more of a all-terrain tire. The truck sticks to the road though.
What would be the recommended cold tire pressure with these? Can I stick with what the stock tires would be?
I have a 2007 f150 XLT with 18 inch stock rims. I also have a 2 inch leveling kit, how big of tires can i put on it?
View 6 RepliesSo I scored a real deal on a set of Michelin on same size 17" OEM wheels that were taken off a brand new 2017 F-250 at about 100 miles. I installed them on my F-350 and had no faults show up. The tires had been marked as to which corner they had come off of so I put them on the same corners of my truck.
After driving about 50 miles I got a "Tire Pressure Monitor Fault" code. I pulled out my owner's manual and followed the relearning procedure exactly but I get the two beeps and the fail retry message from the left front. I have tried three times and get the same result.
Looking for info if the 2017 F-250 sensors are compatible with the 2011 F-350? Have I overlooked something? I habitually manually check my tires anyway, is there a way to disable the TPMS? Is it time for the dreaded trip to the dealer?
I have an early 1997 F350 XL 2 wheel drive with a knapheide 8ft utility bed. Both front tires lean outward at the top.. I have read posts about the top leaning in but this one is leaning out. The front is set up with the twin I beams and just has leaf springs no coils. Couple of guys have said its normal but i would think not because when you jack up the front end they straighten out. I have tried jacking it up and grabbing the wheel at 12 and 6 and tried rocking it to see where the movement is but its pretty solid, it takes the weight of the truck to make them lean. What it could be? Indiana truck, i bought it with over 100k miles so its possible it has had a plow at one time but if so all the evidence of that has been removed.

View 3 RepliesIts a rotational squeak, that sounds like its under the cab or possibly left front tire. The truck only has around 25k miles on it. I recently had a 2" leveling kit installed, 35" tires, and rear airbags installed (within 5k miles). I checked the universals and they seem to ok and there is no noticeable clunk. I am hoping its something small.

Instructions called for five moderate to aggressive stops from 45 to 10mph, then five moderate stops from 35 to 5mph, then cool down and drive as normal. Drivers side door opened fine when I got in to do the test. It's been opening and closing OK since I bought the truck a few months ago. Got back from my break-in procedure, and the drivers side door wouldn't open more than about 8". Had to crawl over and exit from the passenger side. Found that the drivers side door is binding against the front fender about midway down.
View 1 RepliesHave a 2008 F-350 crew cab 4x4 lariat with 20" wheels on it. Tire size is very limited/expensive. Can I replace the 20" wheels with 18" or 17"? I was told it depends on the size of the brakes. How do I check that, short of buying "test" wheels? I am old school and would rather have more tire and less rim, than the other way around.

But I know the lug pattern is different so I will be wanting to put some adapter/spacers for those rims. But I need to know the offset of the rims I have now to make sure I'll still have a turning clearance if I was to get the adapters/spacers.

Tried wiggling the steering wheel, (noticed it wasn't locked), wiggled the shift lever (auto trans). After about an hour of "beatn and jiggling, it just started working!?? What caused this, neither does my dealers service dept. It's working fine now.

I am trying to find my ABS controller because I have an intermittent ABS light on the dash and the code says something about signal loss on more than one wheel. So I assume I have bad wiring or a loose plug somewhere.
I found this (pic attached) on the left hand side under (or a little behind) drivers seat mounted under truck on the frame rail. I think it is the control module but when I tested wiring I found no continuity to any of the ABS wheel sensors.
Is this the control module?
just got 20" rims 295/65/20 Nittos. Is my odometer accurate and speedometer?

I have a 2009 F 350 6.4, fully deleted with a Mini Maxx Tuner , CAC pipe, and CCV mod, other than that the truck is stock. I have put 100,000 miles on the truck and haven't had any real problems but recently that has changed. My 4x4 doesn't work, Traction Control is gone, Tow Haul mode is gone, Cruise Control gone, basically everything controlled by a button is now gone.If it was one of these issues and not everything at once I would check for fuses, broken wires, etc... But, everything stopped working at once. Not having traction control or cruise control, but I tow heavy all the time so tow haul is a must as it's the only thing that engages the engine brake.
View 1 RepliesOn my 2009 F350 the cruise control won't stay on. The slightest bump and it turns off and I have to push the resume button. It's not the brake pedal/stop light as it will do it with me holding the pedal up. I'm guessing there is a vibration/crash sensor to turn off the cruise control in case of a wreck.

Don't get me wrong, I like where my truck sits, which honestly I am not sure what lift size mine has. Anyhow, will the 350 suspension work on the 250?
