Its a rotational squeak, that sounds like its under the cab or possibly left front tire. The truck only has around 25k miles on it. I recently had a 2" leveling kit installed, 35" tires, and rear airbags installed (within 5k miles). I checked the universals and they seem to ok and there is no noticeable clunk. I am hoping its something small.

Can hear it while in 4 wheel drive, my thoughts is that the original universal in the hub is beginning to give up. My question is how long would you think I have before I need to get this done? Would this be a warranty item? I am not sure anymore.
View 2 RepliesIn forward drive or reverse, I hear a rotational noise that almost sounds like the bed creaking when you're getting it on. As I go faster the noise goes faster until drowned out by road and engine noise. The noise is unaffected by applying the brakes. I jacked the truck up and spun tires as fast as I could by hand and got no noise but when I lowered it back to ground and had the truck roll the noise was back. Noise is not affected by turning wheel.
View 13 RepliesI have a 99 F-250 extended cab superduty 4 wd with the 7.3. I also plow during the winter. Recently I've noticed wear on the inside of the left front tire. Brought it to a tire shop and had them check the front end and alignment. They told me that the specs were "within" tolerances" for my truck. I'm stumped as to why the abnormal wear if everything is supposedly good with the alignment.
View 5 RepliesI have an early 1997 F350 XL 2 wheel drive with a knapheide 8ft utility bed. Both front tires lean outward at the top.. I have read posts about the top leaning in but this one is leaning out. The front is set up with the twin I beams and just has leaf springs no coils. Couple of guys have said its normal but i would think not because when you jack up the front end they straighten out. I have tried jacking it up and grabbing the wheel at 12 and 6 and tried rocking it to see where the movement is but its pretty solid, it takes the weight of the truck to make them lean. What it could be? Indiana truck, i bought it with over 100k miles so its possible it has had a plow at one time but if so all the evidence of that has been removed.

View 6 Replies1999 F350 4x4 dually. Replacing brakes front and back. Rotors, Pads, and hoses. On the left front put rotor back on and torqued down hub nuts on rotor. Then caliper mounting bracket wouldn't fit back between mounting bracket and rotor. Loosened the hub nuts on rotor, and fit mounting bracket in place. Then torqued down the hub nuts again, and rotor rubs on mounting bracket and rotor/hub won't turn.
View 2 RepliesI drive a 2006 Ford F350 4x4 Crew Cab. I think the radius arm bushings on my truck are bad. I get a clunk going over bumps on the left side in the front end.
I'm assuming it is the bushing in the rear of the radius arm, but I haven't taken it apart yet because I want to have the parts in hand. I ordered a bushing, part number 5C3Z3B203AA. But it looks too small when I hold it up to it. What is the part numbers for the radius arm bushings?
Or am I looking at the wrong thing for the clunking in the front end? I just did the ball joints with Moog both sides top and bottom. The shock bushings look alright. I have replaced the front sway bar bushings thinking that was it. What else could it be?
I got a 2001 f350 got a noise in my left front wheel i know its not the wheel bearings, it only makes the noice when the locking hub is unlocked i did jack the the truck up and spun the wheel got a faint grinding noises form what seems like the locking hub so my question is bad locking hub or needle bearing holding the axle shaft??

View 8 RepliesI have a 2008 F250 XLT. When i am driving and turn the wheel a squeak is noticeable while the tire is spinning. as i speed up the squeak gets faster and slower when i slow down. I have it narrowed down to the right front tire but cant figure out what is causing it.
View 5 RepliesHave my truck in signature making a very high pitched, annoying squeak from the front end. I believe it is coming from the right side because i just took the wheel off and it has a coating of brake dust on it (the 3 other wheels are clean). Only makes the noise when turning right at speed, and goes away when i straight it out or hit the brakes. I am not very good with brakes or the front end parts.. what could be causing this noise? Could the slide pins be frozen? i know that is a problem with these trucks... but not sure if these are the symptoms.
View 14 RepliesI have a 2014 4WD Super Duty. It has a squeak that is coming from the drive shaft area. I had someone listen to it as I drove slowly next to them. It is a repetitive: squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak. Not loud. The frequency increases as speed increases. I could believe it may be a U joint based on the frequency, but seems hard to believe with a new truck. I heard this sound when I first got it, but the sound was so slight that I thought it was just some sound associated with a newer engine. But now it is becoming a bit louder.

I have a 2011 F350, if that makes a difference. I checked all my tires, they are about 80psi each, front and back. What could be the problem? Is it something to take to a Ford Dealer or something I can fix myself?

I have a quick question regarding tire pressure. Where we work, we have a 2005 F350.
Stock tire pressure for stock tires 275/70R18 states 65 PSI for the front and 75 PSI for the rear.
The truck currently has 295/65R18 tires all around. They are some sort of Wrangler tire, not sure of exact model, but they are more of a all-terrain tire. The truck sticks to the road though.
What would be the recommended cold tire pressure with these? Can I stick with what the stock tires would be?
2004 PSD 4x4 72k. I thought I would be proactive so I bought the front ball joints and have plans to install them but recently I starting hearing (and feeling) a clicking sound in the front LEFT when I make sharp turns to the left and hit small bumps now and again. I jacked up the front end and am able to get 1/4" of movement front to back (top to bottom so not steering) in the wheel.
I narrowed it down to the hub. I took it apart and it is most likely a sealed unit so no adjustment is possible....that I can see.I pulled out the locking hub and got as far as I can to know there is not an adjustment. Need to confirm that it indeed is a sealed bearing and if so what are the part number(s) I may need to repair it.
I have a 03 super duty 3/4 with 45000 miles. I have squeaking sound coming from the front end. My local ford dealer says ford has been replacing those front axle seals but the noise comes back.They said the fix is to keep a dab of grease on them of which I.m doing.That does take care of it for awhile but the squeaking does come back until I put a dab of grease back on them.
View 14 RepliesSo I scored a real deal on a set of Michelin on same size 17" OEM wheels that were taken off a brand new 2017 F-250 at about 100 miles. I installed them on my F-350 and had no faults show up. The tires had been marked as to which corner they had come off of so I put them on the same corners of my truck.
After driving about 50 miles I got a "Tire Pressure Monitor Fault" code. I pulled out my owner's manual and followed the relearning procedure exactly but I get the two beeps and the fail retry message from the left front. I have tried three times and get the same result.
Looking for info if the 2017 F-250 sensors are compatible with the 2011 F-350? Have I overlooked something? I habitually manually check my tires anyway, is there a way to disable the TPMS? Is it time for the dreaded trip to the dealer?
I just got a 2005 F-350. I would like to get the spare tire out without damaging the unit, but don't have the key. Is there a trick to getting it out? Would there be a way to get one from a dealer?
