2010 F-250. the tire pressure warning light is on and the cruise is not working. Verified all TPMS sensors are working and sending signal with the reprogramming tool. using my scan tool, I got several U codes saying there is no communication with the instrument panel control module. I have cleared the codes, they did not return immediately and the problem persists.

with all the money we spend on these rigs, why can't put in a tpms system that would allow us to see WHICH tire is low?
Any aftermarket system that allows monitoring of INDIVIDUAL pressure? (ultimately, it'd be nice to get a 4 axle system that would "communicate" with the trucks (very basic) system, but also allow monitoring of my RV axles as well)
Trying to perform master reset on sync because, from the title, phone button inoperative, No Aux In, and attempting to connect the ipod, you get "connection error see dealer".
The Owner's manual indicates Fuse 40 protects Sync, GPS and Sirius, so I figure that is the one. When you pull 40 you still have gps and Sirius, so I figure Sync must still have power also. So, what fuse powers the sync module?
Every time I put the headlights on or just the running lights within 15 minutes it trips the tire low pressure warning, how can the 2 be connected? Turn the light switch off and anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes the warning low pressure light turns off. I know take it to Ford but I'm out of State presently and l'll just wait till I get back home next month.

Sidewall says max is 80 PSI.
Door jam says 71 PSI.
This is coming from a guy who has traditionally driven passenger cars and trucks. I've never even gotten CLOSE to advertised max PSI ratings. 71 seems awful close to max PSI.
How to do this, or have had it done? I do have 35x12.50x18's on it. I did go to the tire center here in my town to have them reprogram it but only worked for a few to a week cant remember.
View 13 RepliesI have a 2013 F250 and to day the TPMS light came on with a low tire warning message. A little back history, I put new tires on the truck when I bought it and they currently have 9200 miles on them. I didn't like having the tires at the 80psi the tire shop set them at so I lowered them to 62psi right away and haven't had any issues with the low pressure warning going off. Today I was backing into a parking spot and the warning light came on with a low tire message. I checked all the tires and they were right where they should be, but when I got home I added another 5psi to see what would happen and the light never went off after taking it on a 10 mile drive.
My question is, do I have a wheel sensor issue or is something messed up in the computer? I know the door sticker says 75psi front/80rear, but I've been running the tires at 62psi for 9200 miles without trouble so I can't think that the pressure is the culprit. Also, does the spare tire have a sensor in it? In the manual in one paragraph it seemed like it does, but in the next it said that the spare doesn't have one so the light will stay on to remind you to change the spare out.
I have a 2010 f250 6.4 About two months ago the truck just quite on me. I am a farmer in south jersey and have a decent background in diesel motors. First thing that came to mind was fuel. I assumed I was having a fuel issue (clogged filters, failed pump, etc.) truck only had 45,000 miles on it so I took it to my local dealership for what I assumed would be a warranty job. I dealer service all my trucks while under warranty. Long story short I was told it was a fuel contamination issue which scared the walls of the hpfp throwing metal pieces into the injectors, fouling them.
I would need all new injectors, fuel rails etc. as well as new filter housings, fuel tank cleaning, etc. I had receipts for every drop of fuel put in the vehicle and fought all the way to through the dealership to Ford who sent out a rep and who denied the warranty work. Fortunately my insurance company covered the ordeal and all repairs were completed. I got the truck back and 2 weeks later the truck died on me again. I called the dealership back who supposedly warranted the repairs but there first words were there is no way it is their problem, they would look at it but I have to consent that if they find it is contamination again I am responsible for the repairs which we all know just to diagnose they have to remove the cab etc.
I of course lost my mind and told them this is there issue and there is no way in hell I am that unlucky that I received 2 bad tanks of fuel from 2 different high volume highway side fuel stations in the same 2 months. it is obvious they missed something or there is another issue that was not addressed. They claim there is no way they missed something. I am at a standstill.
2014 f250 - tires call for 75 fronts, 80 rears. I have been running 60 in all four corners for 6 of the 7 months I have owned the truck. Just turned 8000 miles and yesterday morning the low tire pressure light came on. Checked tires and all good. What might be happening?

View 6 RepliesI just bought a 05 F-250 156" wheel base crew cab 6.0 with LT305/70R17 Nitto Terra Grapplers. What will be the tire pressure. Manufacture label on truck says 75psi cold but the tire itself says 65psi max. I mostly drive without a load also.

View 14 RepliesWondering what difference in tire pressure are you running front to rear. I have a 1999 CC LB 4x4 with a v10 with 180k on it and have always had to run lower on the rear with a empty bed. Most of the time I'm empty. If I don't the rear centers wear a lot quicker.
I ran KO's most of those miles and recently switch to Geolanders. The tires are 315x75x16. BTW the geolanders are doing great. A better rain tire, smoother and much more quiet. 6k on them so far and very little wear. Time will tell, I would get 55-60k out of the KO's.
Cruise won't power up. Tried entering diagnostics but did not get any flashes. By-passed switch on master cylinder, did not make any difference. Horn honks. Brake lights work correctly.
View 9 RepliesI have a 2001 F250 with 7.3.... We swapped the auto for a zf6 manual.... We left the auto's shift position sensor tied to the frame and left in neutral. I did install a pcm from a manual transmission pickup. Also have the clutch position switch hooked up. I have an Edge Evolution CTS2 reprogrammer, and on the display the gear indication always shows P. I suspect that is why my cruise doesn't work. For interests sake, I tried manually adjusting the shift position sensor through all gears, and the reverse lights come on when in reverse but the Edge's display always shows P. My question is with a manual transmission, how does the pcm know that it is in gear? The only sensor that I am aware of is the reverse sensor on the zf6.
View 2 RepliesI have a 2010 F250 Super Duty with 18" factory wheels. I started having intermittent Tire Pressure Monitor Faults. My research lead me to believe that the seven year old sensors were probably running out of battery life. So... When I had new tires installed I also had new FoMoCo sensors installed and I purchased a FoMoCo tool (TPMS 19) to train the new sensors. My problem is that I cannot get the sensor training process to work. When I put the truck into the train mode and try to retrain the LF tire, nothing happens and eventfully the horn beeps twice and the dash reads that the training failed. Where is the receiver that the sensors communicate with? Could it be bad?
View 9 RepliesGot a 'Tire Pressure Sensor Fault' message a few times on the way back from Florida. Tire pressures were all fine. Hate that it doesn't say which monitor has the problem. Anyway... it comes on, but after a few minutes goes back off. Saw it a total of three times over the course of 1,000 miles in two days. Is this the sensor failing and requiring replacement? Or is the system itself starting to fail? Would ESP cover this?

I have a 2011 F350, if that makes a difference. I checked all my tires, they are about 80psi each, front and back. What could be the problem? Is it something to take to a Ford Dealer or something I can fix myself?
View 7 Replies I have a quick question regarding tire pressure. Where we work, we have a 2005 F350.
Stock tire pressure for stock tires 275/70R18 states 65 PSI for the front and 75 PSI for the rear.
The truck currently has 295/65R18 tires all around. They are some sort of Wrangler tire, not sure of exact model, but they are more of a all-terrain tire. The truck sticks to the road though.
What would be the recommended cold tire pressure with these? Can I stick with what the stock tires would be?
