I have a 2015 F350 and with the long dark hours of driving, I want to put some auxillary lights on the front of my truck. I have a ranch style bumper on the front and I am thinking about installing a pair of flush mount LED driving lights. I was wondering, how well they work? I am personally thinking about the rigid flushmount hybrid driving/flood lights with the focused beam.

This morning when outside to start it (nice sunny morning) and turned the key and all the dash lights went on and also went crazy. Said it had all kind of problems on the dash, Trac system, Over heating and so on. The starter did not crank over at all. Tried this about 8 times in 45 minutes, no worky. Call Ford, they towed it to the dealer. I last drove it 2 days ago. All stock, no programmer.
Just got a new 15' 350 XL and going thru the 'setup' button on steering wheel, there is a toggle option for power windows. got out the old owners manual and heres what it does. when toggled to 'on position' and you unlock doors with the ignition key, you can immediately press and hold the unlock button again and both front windows go down automatically. this of course is for models equipped with power windows and door locks. dont know why we need this option but it'll roll your windows down for you from afar.

When moving slowly such as turning a corner and I have to let up on the accelerator momentarily, when I press down again there is nothing for an unsettling period of time, maybe 2 seconds, as though the engine died, but it didn't and it always comes back. Is there a firmware programming update for this?

View 14 RepliesI have a new 2015 F350 XLT. For the life of me I cannot open the lid on the center arm rest. I have read the manual, and I can't open the lid. This is my 5th Super Duty with the last being a 2010. So you would think this would be a no brainer. I can pull on the handle and its not opening. Pry the damn thing open? Is there a hidden lock? Hidden treasure?
View 14 RepliesI recently graduated from a 2010 f150 XLT with F250 tow pkg to a 2015 F350 and am not liking the steering. I have owned the F350 for about 2 months and I have about 2500 miles on it. The more I drive it the more I hate the steering. The steering just seems loose and "squirrely" to me. I even took it to the dealership at a 1000 miles saying something is wrong and they said everything checks out. They, of course told me, it's because I'm used to the steering in my F150. I even told them to check the alignment because it didn't seem right.
I don't know if it's in my mind, but I keep feeling/hearing like something is loose on the front end, especially when I brake on road bumps. I thought maybe it was the ABS kicking in, but I don't think that it. I cannot pinpoint the noise and it's hard to replicate it, so it'll be difficult to get that across to the dealer. Any problems with the steering?
I have a new f350 with 1500 miles and the check engine light came on. Took it to dealer he said it was the DEF heater. He replaced that part and then it came back on and now its the GLOW PLUG RELAY MODULE. Now for the good part. Ford told dealer that I could drive the truck with the CEL on. Ford stated that they were remanufacturing the glow plug relay and that is was not available at this time and not sure when it will be ready. I filed a complaint with ford, but with little success. Not sure what else to do about this issue.
View 2 Replies2015 F-350 diesel purchased Sept 2104. When towing my 16,000 lb 5th wheel the 6 to 5 downshift seems to have gotten much harsher in the last few months. About 10,000 miles on the truck, much of it towing. Is this an indication of a developing problem?

View 14 RepliesMy 2015 F-350 Super Duty has a noticeable vibration between 5 and 15 mph when accelerating with my 5th wheel. The 5th wheel is heavy--around 14000 pounds. The pin weight is heavy--around 3000 pounds. The Owner's Manual says on page 191 "When driving with a trailer or payload, a slight vibration or shudder may be present due to the increased payload weight..." (This was brought to my attention by my dealer.)
Seeing the thousands of F-250 and F-350 Fords pulling 5th wheels out there on the road, I wonder how many have this "slight vibration or shudder" and what they have done about it.
The water pump on my 2015 350 (6.2L) failed this morning and the dealer says it needs to be replaced. What might have caused it?
View 6 RepliesI was looking underneath the truck yesterday and saw that the rear end pinion seal was leaking. Looked like it had been for a while. Truck has 35,850 miles on it. Unscrewed the fill plug and a lot of pressure is released. So I'm assuming the breather is clogged somewhere along the line. I have an appointment at the dealer on Friday to see whats wrong. What is supposed to be at the end of the breather tube? Mine has a barbed 45ish degree fitting on the end of it. Its a SRW by the way.
View 5 RepliesOn my way into work this morning, all the warning lights came on, along with the check engine wrench. My display was showing that I was overheating and the gauges stopped working. While this was happening, there was no noticeable change in the way the truck was performing.
After about a minute or two, the warning lights shut off and the gauges worked again as normal. The gauges did not show that the truck was overheating at that time. Another few minutes went by and the same thing happened again. Then the gauges came on and the warning lights shut off for the second time, it did not happen again for my 10 minute ride to work. On my way home this evening, this did not happen again.
The truck seems to be charging and the battery seems to holding a large as well. The truck is a 2015 F350 XLT 6.2 with about 9700 miles on it.
Back, I flushed when it turned opaque...
Then I bought a car engineered to last more than just a couple 100K miles and was surprised to find a lot of items in the preventive maintenance list that I never thought about.
It recommended flushing every 30K or 2 years. A bit of research showed this was also recommended by several other manufacturers. Even more common with advent of ABS.
So now I try to flush at least every 2 or 3 years.
I still have not found any recommendations from Ford or GM? Either I'm blind or (cynic stepping in) they still don't expect vehicles to last that long... Or like to sell replacement parts?
I love my new truck. '15 250 CC SB. It would be nice if when I am backing up not to have the dash lights in my eyes once I turn off the head/parking lights at night. I turn off the head lights so as to make everything darker. Much easier to see what is in my mirrors.
View 2 RepliesI have an 08 f350, and my cab over lights are out...I've checked net for issues and they all point in different directions... Running and towing lights are fine, just cab over lights are out...is there a fuse somewhere I cant find? could one burned bulb be out and it effects all?
View 3 RepliesTruck wont start with key. It has a brand new battery, brand new starter & brand new solenoid. When I turn the key to the on position the lights come on but it wont start. The truck will start when I jump the solenoid. Im wondering if its the ignition key cylinder or the ignition switch, or maybe something else like a relay or faulty wire. Where I should start or what the problem could possible be?
View 6 RepliesHave an 08 f350 xl and was looking to put oem foglights into the bumper where mine has the block out 's, guess what I am asking is if the wiring is already there as it was on a different vehicle I owned ,basically it was a plug and play ,have only had the truck for a week and with the hours I'm working I really haven't had a chance to crawl under and look for the wiring.
