I bent my front bumper. Every time I look on amazon or ebay , when I put in my year, model, engine, it says their bumper won't fit. Mine has the 3 rectangular openings, 2 have the holes for mounting and tow hooks. It is chrome with the gray plastic or rubber bottom.Xlt. Also what part is the valance?
View 7 RepliesI got a 2014 F250 SD w/ 6.7 diesel. Since if owned the truck the front bumper has slowly started to sag at both driver and passenger side. Dealer says there is no adjustments for it.

View 5 RepliesOk I have a 2001 f250 SD with 7.3 and my rear bumper is dented and badly and warped. The steel frame mounting part of it is straight and fine. I found a "kit" on eBay that has just the end caps and plastic top cap for a 2008+ style trucks. Would those caps and plastic fit on my frame mounted section (what the actual name for the part that the chrome bumper actually screws into that mounts it to frame) ?

View 8 RepliesI would like to install some driving lights behind the front bumper of my 2005 Super Duty, I was going to drill two 5" holes and than weld in some 5" pipe from the behind the bumper and attach some 5" KC driving lights to it. Would a hole saw work for this or is a bumper to thick? I was looking at DeWalt or Lenox hole saws their bi-metal. I know that I have to drill slow and I was going to use cutting fluid. I could use my drill press but I think I would have to figure how to clamp a bumper to the table. Then I am going to grind/sand the chrome off and paint it black. I will be taking the bumper off doing all of this.

View 9 RepliesI've put about 500 miles on my new to me 06 F250 4x4, CC, SB, V-10. One thing that is slightly annoying is the shifter position in R, L, 1 and 2. Shifter is against my knee in those positions. Re bent the shifter to place the more to the right? I have buckets with a console so I don't need to worry about a center passenger's legs. I have plenty of benders and metal working tools at my disposal, just asking for some guidance.
View 2 RepliesI hit a Turkey running across a back country road the other day . Never took flight. Shortly after that I lost my AC. I took a quick look at the front of the truck and saw no damage. The next day I found the grill lower chrome bar cracked and the AC condenser bent and leaking.
I had to replace those items plus the plastic support frame that all the chrome pieces are attached to. And recharge the AC. Hard to imagine the damage done since I could not stick 2 fingers thru the support grating. Been looking at Grill Guards but not thrilled with the look .
I trying to find the distance/length of a 2005 4x4 onward front radius arm. I'm fitting a 2004 Cummins nv5600 and transfer case into a 1997 fzj80 Landcruiser. I'm also fitting front and rear diff/axles from a 2008 f350 however don't have the radius arms and late model f250 are extremely rare birds here as Ford don't sell them here. I want the distance from the rear bush in the radius arm(at the chassis) to the front bush (top and bottom) at the diff/axle....
View 1 RepliesI am looking at a set of SD axles for my 92 F250. I have been looking for the last 2hrs and have found measurements for seemingly every axle in existence except for the SD D50/60.
What the center to center width is on the spring pads of the front axle. Wouldn't hurt to know the same measurement for the rear either.
Also, a bit more trivial, but still need to know, what is the size and taper of the draglink joint that goes in the pittman arm.
was going to do a brake job on my f250 light duty and the rotors won't come off. At first I thought they were rusted on but after looking at them it looks like the studs are attached to the rotor. Need to confirm this because the new rotors I got don't have the hub attached. Don't know if it's the wrong part or what?
View 9 RepliesI recently purchased a 2002 F250 Regular cab long bed 2wd. I'm tired of the front end sagging so low, so I've been looking into a leveling kit. I was wondering whether I should go with 2" or 1.5" for the kit. I tow about 2000 lbs. 3-4 days a week and do not want the truck to look like it is squatting too badly. However, I really would like it too look more level.

How hard is it to swap out the front coil springs and replace them with the "regular" ones?
I have a 2010 F250 with 154000km (96000 miles) that we bought last week. When I was looking it over during the purchase I noticed the front axle didn't lockup in "auto", in manual lock it seemed fine so I figured vacuum leak or something like that. Yesterday morning I was in the yard and got a little hung up in snow drifts so just got out, locked the hubs and switched to 4x4 and I think the front end didn't engage at all.
So later on I had it in the shop installing the two way radio and decided to check the front end out a little more thoroughly. Vacuum lines seem fine, hubs turn fine but I notice the axle shafts both move up and down almost a quarter inch, that seems excessively loose to me. I've been doing some research on the internet and it appears the front hubs are serviced as a unit, also some information seems to point to needle bearings within the actual locking hub mechanism itself?
So the questions:
1. Does that front axle shaft seem excessive? What are the specs?
2. Can I replace bearings and seals only or do these units come only as assemblies? Inner hub, outer hub units? Wheel bearings seem fine.
3. With that much play is there a chance the outer axle shafts are worn also?
Check out the pics. 99 f250 4x4. I have a leak in my front axle shaft. It looks like it is coming out of the dust cap on the end of the front shaft. I am pretty sure it is differential fluid from the smell. Is there a seal before the dust cap? Is the shaft hollow with fluid in it? I thought it was just in the differential and if it leaks it is at the seals where the axle goes into the differential not at the otter end.
View 14 RepliesIn the last few hundred miles of driving, I notice there is a strange noise coming from what appears to be the front end of my truck. It sounds similar to a buzzsaw or a power sanding tool whenever it comes in contact with an object. The noise starts at around 30 mph, stops from 55-60mph, and starts again around 65 mph. The truck rides and drives normally and there doesn't seem to be any metal to metal contact noises or clunking and the hubs dont seem to be hot to the touch. I was thinking improperly balanced tires, wheel bearing, or front carrier assembly. What it could be? The noise just suddenly started and I was wondering if I should keep driving it?

While doing my brakes in the front, I tried to wiggle the front left, nothing. Solid. Then when I did the right, I was surprised to see it wiggle when I grabbed the tire. So I looked to see what was moving.
Not the U joint, not the ball joints, But it looks like what is a drive shaft.. (I am new to this stuff). On the right side a shaft comes out of the axle just before the U joint and the rest of the wheel assy. What is wrong?
1999 F250 SD 5.4 with 140k miles. There is a triangular plate with a bolt in the center and and what looks like a bolt in each corner of the plate.
Two of three bolts in the plate are missing and the third is loose allowing the plate to spin freely. Center bolt is tight.
Gotten to the point it's really noisy. Can the bolts be replaced in the plate or should I just go ahead and replace compressor. If bolts are replaceable what size?
I've been noticing a grinding coming from the front end of my 2012 f250 4x4, mostly while turning. It seems like its worse over uneven terrain, bumpy dirt roads, things like that, but I have noticed it on occasion while on seemingly smooth roads. Also a couple times while turning and lightly braking I could feel it interfere with the brakes. They wouldn't grab completely and you could feel the grinding in the pedal. I've been crawling around looking for rub marks or any indication of what might be causing it but until recently I hadn't noticed anything. Today though I found this. I'm guessing bad ball joint or tie rod maybe? Maybe just need alignment?
