I have a 2010 JSW and my key fob won't always lock my door, do I need to purchase a new door locking mechanism? I know there's a proper name for the part but I cannot figure it out.
View 4 RepliesWe purchased our 2009 Accent 4 door used about 3 years ago and it came with only one keyless remote. Last week we began having problems with the keyless remote sometimes not locking the driver's door. It usually locks the other 3 doors on the first press of the button, but it usually takes 2 or more presses to get it to lock the driver's door. It always unlocks the driver's door on the first press. I replaced the battery in the keyless remote fob, and opened and closed the hood and trunk with no effect. We still have the original battery in the car.

View 3 RepliesI can't seem to lock my driver's side door via my key fob anymore. It locks all the other doors. When I press the lock button, I can hear the other doors lock and no beeping sound. There is a light blinking on my dash according to the manual the accessory mode light is blinking. I How do I shut it off? I've turned the car on by pressing the power button and pressing the brake then shut if off normally by pressing the power button.

View 7 RepliesEverytime i hit the lock button on my keyfob the passenger door locks and the alarm goes on but my door does not lock no matter what. i tried locking the door first then getting out. Hitting the button a few times.
View 5 RepliesMy drivers side door doesn't line up perfectly, it sits a little lower the farther you go towards the rear and requires a little bit more energy to close than the other one. Is there any easy way to adjust this?

View 2 RepliesMy Toyota 2010 Yaris (5 door) has a electronic key locking issue. when locking the car with the smart key you will hear the mechanisms for all the doors locking then straight away the locking sound of the drivers door will go off again. all the doors will be locked except the drivers door. the drivers door still locks manually using the key but will not lock electronically. just want to know if there is a simply answer to this or something more sinister.
View 1 RepliesI just picked up an R32 a couple weeks ago, and I've noticed that occasionally when using the remote door locks that the driver's door refuses to lock/unlock. When locking, the alarm doesn't arm as I assume the car doesn't think the door is closed. When unlocking, well, it just doesn't unlock. In both cases if I use the key in the door, everything works nicely.
View 10 RepliesI have a problem with my driver side rear door's child safety lock. The safety lock is STUCK/BROKEN on the lock position and i cant get it back to normal... The door could only be opened from the outside right now at all times.
I took the door panel off too see if i could do anything to make it unstuck but very unfortunate...
The safety lock is a whole module itself. I bought it to my mechanic he checked it out and said it cannot be fixed and has to be replaced and he quote/estimated me just the part alone is roughly $300?
How much the part would cost in Sewell? I tried looking it up but cant locate it
I just noticed the other night that it seems like the door lock switches on the driver side near the power window switch does not illuminate in the dark....is this just my car or are they all like that?
View 15 RepliesMy driver's side door lock module isn't working, are all MK4s the same or is it particular to R32? Would MK4 jetta module work on golf? I've found a bunch of different part numbers so I'm confused what I should be looking for...
Also is this harming the car after starting? I know it doesn't prime the fuel pump, but will it adversely effect anything if I don't fix it?
Like the title says, the door lock cylinder does not work on my driver's side door. I removed it and the doors lock unlock with a screw driver so it's only the lock cylinder that is bad. Is there a way to "rebuild" it or fix it without having to get a new one? All 3 of my keys don't work for the trunk or drivers door.
View 1 RepliesSo, I got my explorer about 3 months ago and it has never locked, the door ajar light was always on and I fixed that by using some WD-40.
Now that the door light is off, the explorer beeps once when i lock it using the key fob but it doesn't actually lock. When I use the lock switch in the rear (by the spare wheel tools) it will lock and unlock. The driver's door lock switch won't lock or unlock, the passenger will unlock but won't lock.
Stock alarm system.
The driver side door doesn't lock unlock from the remote usually. But it does work sometimes. I think the remote battery might not be the problem, because the other doors open and close fine. Could i repair it myself?
View 2 RepliesMy '99 Passat 1.8T has an intermittent problem with the electric door locks. The rear passenger lock sometimes doesn't lock, but I can always get it working by unlocking it with the remote and relocking it.
The driver door lock is now really the problem. It mostly doesn't work - in fact, not at all over the last week or so. What is the most likely cause? How much trouble is it to take apart the entire door to get to it? I have had the door panel off which isn't too bad, but the rest of it looks tough.
I just purchased an '02 Camry. All doors lock with remote and interior door lock buttons. Only driver door unlocks with remote and door lock buttons. I have seen other posts with this issue, but not a clear solution.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2007 4 door Sonata, and the Driver door power door lock does not always function. It make a noise like it is working, but most of the time it does not lock or unlock the door. The other doors work fine, and I need to manually lock and unlock the driver door with the key. I'm told that the problem is probably the door lock motor. Looking for some detailed instructions on how to remove and replace this motor?

-When I use remote controller to lock, it locks up the both front door, but not the back doors. When I unlock with remote, it unlocks both front and driver side back door, but passenger side back door.
-When I use lock controller on the driver side door to lock while door is open, it locks up only the passenger side front door
-When I use lock controller on the driver side door to lock while door is closed, it locks up the both front doors, but not the back doors.
