Golf/GTI VI :: 2015 - Power Mirrors Not Functioning Properly (or Not At All)

Some time ago my power mirrors stopped working. I don't normally adjust my mirrors all that much since I'm the only one who drives it but when I have, adjusting the mirror knob does nothing... and when it does, moving the joystick down will move the mirror up!
Depending on whether the lights are on or off all seems to change whether or not the mirrors will work. My right mirror seemed to be working fine but then that stopped as well.
Nothing is ever consistent; either they don't work or work very intermittently.
I've pulled the door skins off and nothing is torn or ripped wire-wise, changed the knob to a brand new one and still nothing.What it could be?
I'll bring it to my mechanic and sure enough it'll work when tested then will stop working randomly. Everything else electric wise seems to be fine (windows, horn, headlights, locks).

2000 GMC pickup with 160 k. Didn't seem to get hot enough. Changed the thermostat and fixed that problem. Temperature is just below 210 degrees. Heater never did work well ( had it bout 6 months). After I changed the thermostat heater was cold. Ran it for a while and heater eventually warmed a bit but it doesn't get hot. And sometimes it goes cold. It goes back and forth....cold to warm..never hot. Is my heater core stopped up or do I have a control problem?

My keyless entry is suddenly acting funny. 2010 manual accent hatch, bought new, no problems at all so far. 50k on the clock.
Usually when I press the unlock button, the marker lights flash once and the drivers door unlocks, press again you get another single flash and the other doors unlock. Right?
Press the lock button and it should flash twice and lock the car. Press lock again and it will honk.
I had not driven the car for about one week and this morning the locks work ok, but the lights and horn are not doing what they should.
When I unlock, I get no flashing lights at all. When I lock I get the double flash, but no horn. Also, the panic mode works as it should, lights and horn.

I have a 2012 Avalon Limited with the automatic temperature control. It used to be that the recirculation function was controlled automatically. The recirculation function would come on when ever the outside temp was hot enough and the inside temp setting was low enough. This is also how my 2000 Avalon XLS works and how my 2014 Tundra 1794 Edition works. Both have the automatic air conditioning system. Now the recirculation function must be turned on manually in order for it work. This has just been happening for the last 3-4 months. The dealer service writer tells me that all 2010 through 2012 Avalons with the automatic temp control Air Conditioning require the recirculation function to be controlled manually. Is this really true?
The manual makes no mention of this requirement to control the recirculation function manually. The manual says that the recirculation function MAY be controlled manually, but, when the A/C is on automatic temp control, the recirculation function is turned on and off by the A/C, depending upon the outside air temperature and the interior vehicle temp setting chosen on the A/C front panel.

My brake pedal needs to be practically be pushed to the floor for the car to stop. I went to a Munro Muffler and they replaced all brake pads and turned the rotors. The problem of the pedal to the floor did not go away. The Munro tech struggled with this then popped me with this estimate - brake lines master cylinder to ABS / brake lines ABS to front brake flex hoses connections, / brake lines - ABS to rear junctions fittings at the passenger front door. Also they want to sell me a rear wheel bearing because the temperature at one point was very high. The total estimate is $840. I can remove the Rear wheel bearing to bring the estimate down to 500. I asked if we could do lines from ABS to Master Cylinder only and the tech advised against it. I feel like I am about to get ripped off and am going for a second opinion.

I read in another post that when that person put their car in reverse, the back up camera came on, and the outside mirrors pointed down to assist with backing. My outside mirrors dont do this and I havent found anything in the settings to enable this. Is this only available with certain trim levels? Do mirrors move when you put your car in reverse?

So I installed Power Folding Mirrors and performed the coding for the door modules. All functions are working, but when I performed the coding for the convince fold and unfold the mirrors fold in when i lock the car. But when i unlock the car by kessy or remote the mirrors will not unfold till i start the car. I've gone back and redid the coding and performed reset factory defaults in the MIB and still nothing.

To summarize. I no longer get any fault codes but the passenger side DRL is not functioning and my rear fog is stuck on. I do not have a euro switch with the fog option. I set byte 18 to 0x04.
The passenger LED running strip functions with the headlights on though. For DRL function it turns on right after releasing the parking brake but shuts off a second later.

I went to grab my laptop out of my car this morning and my passenger side door wont unlock. I tried with the remote, then i tried using the button on the drivers door, then i tried the button on the passenger door and none of them worked. I don't hear as much as a pin drop sound coming from the pass. door so im thinking maybe its just a fuse or something...didn't get a chance to look at it..
Why I didnt think of it this morning, but i opened the door from the inside, remembering how when you do so, it pushes up the lock...that seemed to be enough to fix it...works fine now..weird..

I have a 2002 Ford explorer XLT V8. My door locks recently stopped working, including all switches to lock and unlock, and the rear glass hatch lock. My alarm comes on when I hit the buttons on the remote, but the key pad and switches don't do anything. There is a click coming from a harness that is above the rear passenger seat belt so when you use the remote and the switches so I know power is getting to that point at least.

My car was having a strange power issue after I went stage 1+. This occurred 3 separate times and always at the same moment in acceleration. I would be on the highway on ramp shifting from 5th to 6th and the car would just die, the turbo completely quit functioning. When this occurred the car had no power and would consume fuel like crazy. Each time this happened it was over 90 degrees outside. If I parked the car and let it sit for 10 minutes before re-starting it would be back to normal. Since going 2+ this has not occurred. I don't know if this was a protection mode implemented by the ecu or what.

I am halfway through the badge backup camera install and I just had a thought. Will replacing the badge with the backup camera badge affect my kessy functioning? I did not check to see if there was a kessy and non kessy golf backup camera. I have read at least 10 DIYs on this mod and not one mentioned kessy at all.

I'm replacing tow mirrors on my 2004 F250 with 2008 mirrors. Both are factory Ford mirrors. Need wiring diagram since connectors and wires are different. They both have power mirrors, turn signals, heated mirrors, but are not power retract or fold.

My rear power lock is not functioning. When I hit the power locks, the other three power locks work, but the one will not function and I can hear the actuator make a prolonged electrical noise (like a deep whine). Is it safe to assume that I need to replace the actuator? I just don't want to throw parts at it.

I just bought a used 2012 Elantra GLS with 24K miles. I tested almost every possible function of the car before I bought it however I didn't try out the 2 power outlets expecting them to both work on a car with only 24k miles.
Anyway, the center console outlet doesn't work. I'd like to check the fuse box first thing in the morning. I work night shift so I won't be able to get to it til then. Any other things I should look for?

I drive a 1970 Jeep Cj5 which I've dubbed, "The Red Bucket" because, well, it's red (duh) and because of its complete lack of doors, top, roll cage, and a folded down windshield. Anyway, I drove it to work about 2 days ago. Started fine, drove fine, no problems. When I came back from work it started fine. As I drove down the parking garage, the engine, a Buick Dauntless v6, just stopped. it didn't really even sputter either, just stopped, leaving me rolling down the garage with no power steering.
Now, at this point, I just though I had flooded it, happens all the time so I figured, "Hey, no big deal." If I've flooded it good, I normally only have to wait about 10 minutes till it springs back to life. However, after 10 minutes, 20 minutes, and 30 minutes, I was forced to call home to get a ride. Now I am a little worried, but I shrug it off thinking I have just flooded it really, really, really, bad. I drive up the next day to try and start it again, but only to find it in the same condition as the day before, starter turning, lights working, but still nothing.
Now, my knowledge of cars really doesn't go any farther than YouTube. I'd consider myself a "car guy," but I am no mechanic. That being said, based on my knowledge of distributor caps, my current hypothesis is that for whatever reason my distributor cap is not functioning. To go into more detail, there is starter noise, but no vibration or noise from pistons beginning to move and fire. Also, roll starting did not work and I am not out of gas, good thoughts though.

2011 F250 6.7 Lariot Fx4. My factory Trailor mirrors won't extend. When I push the button it just gives me two chimes. The power fold and other options work, just not the extend. Not sure but don't think it's a fuse since everything else works.

My 2004 6.0 used to beep and flash the lights when I lock and unlock with the remote key fob, but has stopped doing it for some reason. Need the sequence required to re-program that feature.
