Question to those that have the car - is it possible to change the display colour of the radio? Can it be done via MFD?from the "white/silver" "buttons" to darker "buttons"?

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Changing The Color Of HVAC Controls
I know it's just one bulb behind the fan speed control knob. I also know (or was told, rather) that the lighting color is red because of some red plastic doo-dad. What I don't know is whether or not this plastic is red because of a film or coating applied to clear plastic or if the plastic itself is red.
I work at a graphics shop so I've got translucent vinyl film in various shades and tints of blue. If it's a film or coating applied to clear plastic that makes the lighting red, I could probably remove it from the plastic and apply a blue film. I'd really prefer not to take apart the dash to remove the HVAC controls only to find out that I'm stuck with red lighting.
Accent MC (2006-11) :: Changing Interior Light Color On The Cluster?
I was just wondering if it's worth the hassle to change the interior light color on the cluster, etc from green in my 09 to the bluish white seen in the 2010 & up models as I much prefer that.
Also, I have tinted my tail lights but I have some creasing from the curved shape. I plan on removing it & starting again but I was just wondering if there were any tips or tricks to make it a bit easier?
Touareg :: Left HID Headlamp Flickering - Now Changing To Amber Color After 10 Secs
My left HID lamp started to flicker quickly a month ago. It seemed like it was a loose lamp housing connection when I hit bumps. I took the housing out, coated the connections with electrical grease and fit it back in tightly. Now a week later the lamp changes to an amber tone after it is lit aprox. 10 secs.
Does this indicate the bulb is about to fail? Is this a common issue? 04', so I know it is out of warranty and I am sure the bulbs aren't cheap. I even did the vagcom mod to save the bulbs during the day
Explorer :: 96 - Factory Radio Speaker Wire Color Code
So my son cut the factory speaker wires on his Explorer. I bought a new radio for him prior to the "CUT" and the new radio comes with a simple wire harness (2 green, 2 purple, 2 white, 2 grey). The picture shows the factory wires attached to factory module. The "New" speaker wire harness identifies which wire is for what speaker but I need to know what factory speaker wire would attached to the new wires. Based on the picture, how to identify the speaker wires and determine which wire goes to which speaker?

While I drove to and from the dog park yesterday - a total of 25 minutes - several alarming things happened to my 2007 Jetta (2.5L, 4 Dr, single owner = me). On the way there, a yellow icon popped up on the instrument display, and since I'd never seen it before, I looked it up in the manual after we parked and went into the park. It was the power steering icon - not low fluid, but your power steering may stop working, better get it checked. (!) Yellow is the warning, and red with noises is the serious problem level. But it also said sometimes that symbol shows up and then goes away. After 90 minutes in the park, I started the car and it wasn't there. And I didn't feel any problem with the steering. Then, after 3 minutes of very low speed driving, the radio display started to flicker, and the radio popped and then shut off by itself. Then the instrument display that shows the mileage, the tank mileage, the temperature and the time in red numbers started to fade, I noticed the A/C was blowing warm air, and three more icons showed up: the power steering one, the ABS brakes, and another one I didn't recognize. I kept driving because I was in traffic, and then after about 2 - 3 minutes, the A/C got cool, the radio came back on, and the icons went away. I haven't started the car yet today, but it drove all the way home last night with no weird episodes.I was in an accident in June that required both drivers side doors to be replaced and a lot of cosmetic work on the back bumper, but no impact to the engine area or front of the car. Any thoughts on what's causing this? I have a long freeway commute and I am worried about driving with things just cutting out like that.

I purchased a very low mileage 2008 Prius this summer. Lately, I have noticed that it is changing radio stations on its own. At first I thought maybe I accidentally touched something else and I let it go. It also will jump from FM to AM and from FM1 to FM2. I finally realized that it was not me when I turned the corner with both of my hands firmly on the wheel and it jumped.

my sister has a 2003 accord v6. shes got about 70,000 miles on it. recently the radio display went black and nothing is visible. at the time the display went out, the audio was still working, just no display. if i recall correctly, it also displays the controls for the heat/ac controls also. Unfortunately, after the display blacked out, she had a separate, unrelated dead battery issue. a new battery was installed but now there's nothing because of the built in security feature that kicks in when the battery is disconnected. What the actual part is called that needs to be replaced? from what i read, its not the radio unit itself.

I have a 2009 3.3L Limited with the Nav system. Sometimes when I start the car the radio/nav display is locked up and will only display the Hyundai logo. During this lock-up, the radio still works. Using the steering wheel selectors I can switch beween station presents, between radio bands, and can change XM radio stations as well. The USB flash drive will not play any music during the lock-up. If I turn the car off then turn it on again, the problem goes away. This lock-up typically happens once every few weeks.

I have a V8 w/o navigation. I am able to adjust the volume of the radio from the steering column but would like to know whther I can change stations from the steering column as well. None of the controls seem to allow it.

Recently a strange problem has started occurring with my car's radio (I've had the car for about 3 weeks). I usually listen to SiriusXM. When I start the car, it'll stay on SiriusXM for about 5 seconds or so and then sometimes it will randomly switch to either AM or FM radio on its own and I have to manually switch it back. I don't think it's a loss of signal issue as the radio will play SiriusXM just fine before it jumps to another band.

yesterday, I was driving along a stretch of road I have driven hundreds of times. The difference this time was my radio decided to turn the volume very low then back to normal. I just received both items today.. The CF spoiler seems a little bit twisted...but no big deal, I can bend it a little bit to fit...
How to install that spoiler? using 3M tape only? and also I cannot push the original side marker out...I pushed so hard and it didn't pop out...
