After being to a dealership to set up alarm, i noticed that hidden menu bar wich appear when i put the finger close, doesn't work. Is there any option to turn on that function or something else could be a problem?
View 6 RepliesI just picked up a 2013 Golf TDI 2 Door Tech Package 6-Speed Manual Transmission on Sunday and I wanted to know if there was a way to access all the MFD/MFI settings while driving? I have a Vag-Com and already set the navigation speed threshold but it does not have an effect on the MFD/MFI.
Also, there has been quite a bit of talk on the new Focus ST, I pre-ordered a loaded ST3 car back in May and upon seeing it and driving it when it arrived last week, I went to VW and picked up my TDI. More on that later.
So I had my hood open to check my oil, not a big deal for a 2001 Jetta 1.8t. When I shut the hood, the car decided to simultaneously lock, and now the horn/alarm is going off and the key fob won't unlock the car or disable the alarm. And the keys don't work in the door/trunk so I can't get inside. What I should do?

View 6 RepliesI picked up a 2004 Prius with 150k. It has no check engine light and no codes with a scangauge. I hooked it up to a mini-vci with techstream and found the following: P3009-526, C1310 and B1421. The car will only start if you reset codes, then after a few minutes of running the red triangle comes back.

View 9 RepliesAlright, so this post may be entirely useless as I'm not really sure if there's a magic solution to my problem. I use the little compartments on the dash above the radio that push and slide out to hold loose change and I guess I may have overfilled one, because now it will not open at all. It doesn't push in anymore and I've tried sticking something through the tops and sides in order to try and force it to slide out, but no luck so far. I'd rather have it stuck and full of change than break anything. Is that any roundabout way to access it and push it out?

View 13 RepliesBeen having this weird shushing noise since I got the car, never figured out where it was coming from, only knew it was coming from the vents. Told a Master Technician at the dealer about it and he thought it was something loose in the engine department.
Finally figured it out, its when the fan is on and the vent setting set to Wind shield and foot area. All the other settings were ok.
So, my '06 XL just popped up a P0051 code, which is the bank 2, sensor 1 (the upstream A/F sensor that you can easily view upon opening the hood in the front exhaust manifold. Easy enough of a replacement on that one, but what about bank 1, sensor 1 (the upstream A/F ratio sensor on the firewall side of the engine)? I changed my oil today and I can access three of the four oxy/A/F sensors, but the upstream rear looks like a bitch! Out of curiosity, I called a local Toyota dealer and they said it would be 300.00 total to replace the hidden sensor on the firewall side. Does this amount seem realistic? I know that there is a TSB for this sensor that states to replace the exhaust manifold/cat assembly. I def. can't afford no 1700.00 crap right now!!
View 3 RepliesOk, I must be an idiot, but I can not get the MFI to open the menu. I know it works on the car because the salesman demonstrated it when delivering the car, but I can't get it to work.
The manual says:
-Turn ignition on
- Hold bottom button for 5 seconds
- Release button
I've tried that with the car running, car off, parking brake on and off and nothing works.
So my Tiguan's at the dealership getting the leaking sunroof repaired. I told them to unlock the convenience menu for me because the manager told me they could next time I came in....
View 24 RepliesI noticed as soon as the c is in motion the bluetooth menu is not accessible. I'm sure this is a safety measure, but this has become a huge inconvenience for us. A lot of the times my wife needs to switch from iPod to phone during the trip.

I installed from the DVD JBL Camry 2010, the 6th generation. Before that, I had a JBL, but without a monitor. All was fine and everything works, but I can not use the phone. One connector does not come and as I understand it is a microphone / aux. Music on bluetooth plays perfectly. But the phone itself, I can not even choose the menu. Can I buy a adapter for the microphone? Or manual, how can I fix the connector...

Looks like I erased the Comfort setting in the MFI, I was changing stations at a light and noticed those menus, played with them for a bit and I hit it at factory reset. Since then I have not been able to get the Comfort menu to come up. Is there anything I can do to get it back or will I need to go to the dealer to get it reset?
View 2 RepliesNew 2015 Mercedes E350 wagon ..... The day after I took delivery, I tried to open the new wagon's doors (it has a keyless feature) and nothing happened. I tried again and still nothing happened. I then took the smartkey out of my pocket and tried to click open the locks and nothing happened. I then took the ancillary key out of the smartkey and unlocked the car manually. This set off the alarm which would only stop when I closed the door and relocked the car.
Also, the car would not start. It was like I had broken in to the car. A few minutes later, while waiting for roadside assistance to speak with me, I tried the door handle again and discovered that the doors would now open keylessly. I have driven the car several times since the incident (which occurred yesterday) and it has not repeated the problem. What caused the problem?Is this a one time glitch or am I in danger of being stranded somewhere?
So I get home from work around 4 am and my alarm keeps going off but nobody is doing anything to make it go off. And if so how did u fix it?

Both enter buttons , nav and menu button not working.(mouse) Navigation is working and there is display. When i put movie it start automatically.
I tried remove batter but same issue.

I'm new to the Lexus navigation system, and the first time I used it I was impressed that I could speak street names while driving.
But the other day I wanted to get directions to the local IKEA store, and I could not get it to accept a business name (through the voice menus while driving). Is there a way to do this? I just spent a few hours looking through the navigation manual and it seems to support voice selection of POIs, but not shopping locations, perhaps? I also found myself at one point on a menu where Target stores showed up, but not the IKEA. Maybe they only display stores who pay for placement?
