I've got a 2002 jetta. new ecu, new cluster, new keys (new to me from a 2010 beetle) all installed but my windows, door illumination, locks and electric mirrors dont work. Windows will go up and down with key in door, and locks work that way as well. if i put my old cluster back, everything works fine.

View 2 RepliesI have a 2003 jetta GLI (vr6 6 speed) that i received from a friend because of some body damage to the doors mainly. so i replaced the doors with some from a 2001 jetta glx, but the power windows don't work with the switches inside the car. However, when I put the key in the door and turn it, all of the windows will go up and down...(So the motors are good and they are getting power) the door locks, gas cap lid, trunk, sunroof all work and the interior lights work as well.
So i researched it and everyone said fuse #14 or ccm... so i replaced the fuse.... multiple times now just to make sure... After that didn't work, i bought a new ccm with the same part #. that didn't work at all... still same problems... I was wondering if maybe the new doors are or aren't CAN-BUS? if that even matters?
My 2002 Grand AM turns over like it wants to start but dies right away. Head lights and all work good but right off dome light, radio, and electric car door locks didn't work. After reading and trying the security bypass by putting the key to ON etc., many tries I did finally kill the battery. Jumped it for quite a while and same issue.
The security light has been on for years with no issue but doesn't narrow down if it is the bypass problem since it stays on but the other electric items not working at the same time has me perplexed.
The electric door locks on the left side of my '99 Passat sometime don't work. The left rear works 90% of the time, but sometimes it doesn't lock. All I have to do to get it to work is unlock all the doors with and then hit lock and that cures it every time, and I have been living with that for 3+ years. The driver door lock sometimes decides to not lock or unlock at times. Normally it starts working on it's own when it feels like it, but again, it works 90% of the time. What the likely cause should be and how to go about getting it fixed?
View 1 RepliesJust picked up the truck 1995 Ranger XLT. 3L...5spd...4x4...no power windows or door locks. The key buzzer only buzzes for a few seconds, if you move the ignition it buzzes for a few seconds each time its moved. The wipers only work when the buzzer is dinging. Also..the wipers when turned off stay in the up position. I replaced the ignition key mechanism and the on off wiper relay. What am i missing in this weird scenario??

When ever i turn off the car and take the key out the electric windows still work and go up and down and i think its draining the battery but when i lock and unlock the car using the key they stop working. And the rear drivers side door is completely dead nothing works on it. What is causing this??
View 2 RepliesAll at once my power locks and windows on all doors and the power mirrors quit working. The Driver Info center also says "Unknown Driver" when I start the car. After that happened the check engine ligth came on and when I went to get that checked there was no power to the ODB port (not sure if it is related or separate). Also, the brake, ABS, and traction control lights are on...they have been so I'm sure that is a separate issue.

I know the door harness and therefore the dash harnesses will be somewhat different. I'd like to see if there is a difference in the other ends where they connect to under the dash.
Looking for the wiring diagrams for those components so I can see what else I need to change?
I just picked up an '03 Golf and decided to put in the euro switch I had from my old Jetta. When I turn the headlights on (either parking or full) the instrument cluster blue back lighting and the red interior LEDs work only sometimes. When they work, they all work, but probably about 9 out of 10 times, they just won't come on at all, so I have to sit there turning the switch on and off repeatedly until they do come on. What could be causing this? It's definitely not a fuse since they do come on eventually, so my first thought was maybe a relay, but which one? What else could be going on?
View 5 RepliesI was noticing this morning, that my left front and right rear windows didn't work. Also each of my two side mirrors would only adjust to the left but not to the right. When I try to do the non-working windows the dome light would dim a little bit when I push the button, but no sound or anything.
This is an intermittent problem. They usually work, but sometimes they don't.
I own a Elantra 2011 and I have a major problem. I cannot shift from PARK to DRIVE and my electric windows doesn't work either ! Everything else working fine and the car start normally !! The dealer cannot find the trouble and the car just have 19802 KM on it!!
View 3 RepliesWhen it is hot out and the interior of the car gets really hot these things do not work: the electric windows will not work, the turn signals will not work, the display on the air conditioner does not work the blower on the air will not work but the air will come out of the defroster. All the dash lights come on abs, trac on trac off. After the car sits in the shade for at least an hour all these things will work.
View 1 RepliesPreliminary information: the vehicle is a 2003 jetta (gli), My drivers door ajar switch is broken and the ccm recognizes it as closed at all times (open circuit), also I was hit in the rear at about 40mph by an f-250 a week after I bought the car and I repaired the damage myself (I am not a body tech). I replaced all electrical components in the trunk as they were all destroyed as well as the trunk lid which has never quite closed the same.
.Key Fob serves no function, (replaced the battery as troubleshooting.)
.If I lock the doors VIA drivers door, passenger door or by key in door, the doors will lock and then immediately unlock.
.It seems to think a door is open even though they are all closed and the overhead lights don't come on like they would if a door was open.
.The door ajar light was on when it first started and the light burnt out after less than an hour in (coincidence? or short? I don't know what circuit to start on).
I picked up a 2004 Jetta 1.8T and it's had a lot of electrical issues, it had some water damage from a plugged cowl drain and a I've found a bunch of stuff just unplugged. I had a shop fix some missing grounds to get it running and they went through the dash and found all the air control plugs had become unhooked somehow, so they got the air conditioning working. Now i'm working on getting the locks and the horn to work. I've checked the fuses, they're not blown. I'm not sure about the relays under the dash, but I can hear a clicking from the comfort control module when I hit the key fod. The buttons on all the doors are not working. the horn will sound if the alarm is set off but doesn't work when the button is pushed on the steering wheel, nor when the key fob is struck. The windows all work, both from the key turn and the switches in the door. I'm totally lost on what to do here.

View 1 Replies08 RX 350. Just changed battery. New Bosch battery. Issue: After battery change, passenger windows don't work from the driver's master window switch cluster. I'm assuming this is the result of some sort of memory being wiped out during the battery change. Or perhaps a blown fuse during power up while connecting the new battery.

I also have the wet floor problem. But no sun roof, I read that it may be the connector under the pass seat, I see a connector above the carpet, could that be it or is it located under the carpet...
