I was wondering how is it done to have the windows close with using the key fob. Also I saw that you can set the windows to roll up with the rain sensor as well on the mk5s. Can we also do that?

View 15 RepliesIs there a way to mod the automatic windows up and down. What I mean is that If i arm the alarm with remote, all four windows will automatic roll up. The honda accord has the function which will roll down the windows by the remote before you enter.
View 13 RepliesI drive a 2011 GTI. The other day I left my car parked in the sun for a while so it was all hot and stuffy inside when i came back. I rolled down all four windows and then pulled out the key after they were all the way down. Within like 3-5 sec, all four windows rolled back up by themselves.
This kinda threw me off cause I didn't expect that to happen. I tried to show my friend later to impress him but it didn't do it. So im thinking whether that was just one of those freaking moments that only happens once, or is this an actual feature that comes in the GTIs.
I was doing the mod to use my remote to roll down my windows and to roll them back up...
worked great the first time... then the 2nd time I tried it the passenger rear window would not roll up... 3rd time the driver passenger window would not roll up...
I did some vag-com tweaks I noticed that my passenger seat window would role up and down but I have to keep holding the button. The full click down or up no longer works. My driver window works fine, what I have done wrong?
View 5 RepliesSo i was installing a led light in the trunk of my car to replace the old halogens an when it came out a spark happened and now i am unable to use my key fob or roll up the windows, lock the car, or get in the trunk. Also already tried to reset both FOBs but they are not working.
View 2 RepliesI just recently replaced the driver side 4-button window switch with one from AARodriguez (FixmyVW.com) on my 2001 MKIV Golf. The new switch had been working fine, but over the last few months, the back windows intermittently wouldn't roll down. It was a gradual process that started when I realized that the windows would actually start to roll back DOWN when I was rolling them UP, or was it vice versa... regardless, it was backwards, and I would have to do it a few times to get it to work properly.
Now, the windows won't roll down at all using the driver's switch, but I do hear a click in the back doors as though some connection is being made. The windows just won't budge. The switches on the back doors work flawlessly, so I don't think it's the motors. The switches for the front windows on the new 4-button switch work fine. There's always a possibility I got a bum switch, or that this one went out, I suppose.
My car got broken into 2002 VR6 4 motion.
Windows no longer roll down.
Trunk doesn't open.
Interior lights don't turn on.
Can program the windows to roll down and up with the key fob?

View 10 RepliesOK, all the cars/SUV's I have owned in the last 4 years had a great feature. If you held down the unlock button on the keyfob for a few seconds you could roll down the windows and open the sunroof.
A GREAT feature to let the heat out while you're approaching the car on a hot day or to just let fresh air on other days. Can it be done?
The windows/moonroof wont open when using the fob. I unsuccessfully tried pressing and holding multiple button combos. with every other car I've had. I just had to hold down the unlock button or press it a few time.
View 14 RepliesThe one thing I haven't been able to figure out is how to get the automatic window roll down with the FOB with the Vag commander software. I've done some cool stuff with the cable so far but this is the only thing I cant figure out.
The cable is not compatible with the Rostech software that handles the b6 and no I don't want to buy a rosstech cable.
I've been searching for a couple days and haven't really found any good info on this... Is ot possible to make our rear windows roll all the way down?

View 1 RepliesI thought my t-reg had this feature. Where you put key in the drivers door and it will roll up or down the windows in the order of which they were last used.
Same thing with sunroof. I vaguely remember using this... but it's not working.
I just bought a 2008 Passat last week, and am still learning all the features in the car. I previously had an '05 Jetta, and I was able to remotely open all of the windows by holding the key in the unlock position.
My manual says that I can roll down all of the windows from the remote by holding the unlock key on the remote, but it doesn't work. I have even checked the settings to make sure that the "Convenience" option is set to "All" windows. Am I missing something? What do I have to do to get the windows opened / closed remotely?
I got a 09 Elantra and my rear windows will not roll up.. unless I use the switches in the rear doors. So, from the front I can roll them down but not up. if i need to roll them back up I have to get out open the rear door and use the switch in that door.
I am hoping it is the switch.. but which one? the one in the front doors. or the ones in the rear doors?
