My reverse and brake lights are both out on the right side. I checked all of the bulbs and reinstalled them, but to no avail. I looked at the fuse panel, but the icons don't tell me anything. I suspect it is, but what.
View 4 RepliesWhen I look back into the rear view the top brake light isn't a solid light, it keeps blinking but sometimes it won't blink and just have a solid light. Also, my friend pointed out to me that both of my reverse lights arenot even coming on. I suspect a loose wire somewhere. Where should I look? Or something else?
View 5 RepliesI just purchased my first VW about a month ago. (Golf tsi white auto). I love the way the car drives/handles. But I was surprised because at just under a 1000 miles the engine light went on. Took it to VW service to check it out. They had to keep it for a few days to do tests with the main VW center. I got the car back without much explanation other than they put in an O2 sensor.
No engine light now for a couple weeks. They also noticed that my wheels are missing 4 lug nut covers (not a big deal). For some reason I am just starting to notice the green brake light on when I first turn on the ignition prior to setting in reverse which disappears upon reverse or drive. I assume this is normal... Question: should I be concerned about this engine light O2 sensor issue?
My passenger brake light (running) is out, I have the 5th brake light mod on and all 5 light up when i hit the brakes, its just dark when I am not on the brakes... Is it a fuse or the bulb blown, I've already rechecked the wiring and there was a wire loose but i put it back in and still nothing.
View 16 RepliesDriving my car (2001 Jetta Wolfsburg w/ 1.8T) to work yesterday and all of a sudden the airbag light comes on... As I was almost to my exit I continued another 500 yards. The ABS/and brake light come on as well and the car dies as I coast to the side of the road. I would not start so I had my spouse bring the trailer and another battery to see if it would start up. It started up and we loaded onto the trailer.
Took the battery to Napa and they said battery was bad. Today I buy another battery and the voltage of the battery not running is 12.2V and with the car running the alternator to battery voltage is the same. How do I know if the voltage regulator is bad or the diode or something internally in the alternator? Also how to I get the airbag light reset?
I own a 04 Grand Cherokee and have recently had problems with my passenger side brake light. Now the light itself does work under normal running light conditions, but when I go to press the brake pedal it doesn't engage the bright brake light. Drivers side works fine and so do all my other lights, I replaced the bulb to no avail, and am now currently looking into replacing the bulb socket.

The driver side brake light, goes out when brake pressure is applied, but is on when lights are fully on, but even then brake pressure is applied and goes out. Right brake light is fine. And turn signal on right works. But driver side back light goes out when brake pressure is put on and when turn signal is put for left side. Right makes a turn noise left side doesn't. I recently replaced the turn signal switch. So its brand new. But older wires every where else. No cuts anywhere on wires. Fine. And replaced the bulb also.

I actually own a 06 Audi A3 3.2 dropped with ST Coilovers that impressed me at the beginning in term of comfort BUT I don't want another experience with those coilovers (clunking noise, reverse brake).
I am hesitating with many combination.
My needs: get rid of the horrible wheel gap AND maintain the best daily ride comfort 'cause I live in Quebec and I can not count anymore the potholes and patches on the roads....
The setups I am hesitating with:
-I LOVE how the H&R Supersports sit, that IS the drop level I want. And If I go with them, I would also buy some adjustable koni yellow. *I worry about the comfort*
-DG springs *worry to almost not see the difference between DG and stock look*
-VWR springs *worry about getting the reverse rake I am afraid of*
with DG or VWR springs I would conserve the stock shocks, because I guess those springs are not so low to need shorter shocks.
2004 Prius. When the brakes are applied, the passenger side brake light (LEDs) is dim compared to the driver side. Are the LEDs just dying a slow death? I always thought LEDs either work or don't.
View 3 RepliesMy drivers side reverse light went out. I replaced bulb and nothing, swapped the housing connectors and still nothing, checked fuses and fuses are OK..... Spoke to dealer and they said its HID (plug and play) related.... If I trace the reverse light harness, where it runs from and to so that I can rule that out as well....I haven't modded trunk lights.
View 3 RepliesI just noticed a week ago that I don't have reverse lights. I check the fuses all good. I have checked the harness and there is continuity. So that tells me that the relays are good. I also read to check the neutral safety switch but where it is located. After trouble shooting last night I also noticed that I don't have my 3rd cab brake light either.
View 3 RepliesI have a 2000 Jetta GLX VR6, automatic, that I have been going over for my son. The passenger side mirror doesn't adjust when I shift into reverse. I moved up,(towards the top of the housing) a little. Shifted to park and then back to reverse and it moved up again and doesn't return. I have changed the mirror switch, the mirror motors, and have dis-connected all the electrical plugs on the transmission. I figured the plugs needed to be plugged and re-plugged to clean the terminals, but no luck. Is there a switch or sensor that needs to be replaced on the transmission? All the fuses are good. What needs to be done?

View 13 RepliesI installed LED R tail lights from ECS and now when I put the car in reverse with the lights on the right inner tail light goes out. It's not the light because I already swapped it for another one and it did the same thing. I do have a RVC and the trigger wire is hooked up to this light but the stock lights work fine and I still have the issue when I unhook the RVC.

View 2 RepliesMy mother owns a 2004 Toyota Prius, we got the car couple of months ago, and noticed the brake light was out, on the drivers side. Little did we know that it was a hard thing to actually replace, and we didn't bother giving much care to it since we thought it was a regular $15 bulb you just pop onto the tail light.
It turns out, the top part of the brake light attached to the remainder of the tail light does not turn on, while the center and passenger side of the brake lights turn on. It is black colored/tinted, and my guess is this is an LED.
I drive an 05 Prius the drives side LED part of the light is dim. I went to the dealer and they told me I had to buy the hole light assembly. Is this true?

View 5 RepliesI think I have a bad socket on my taillight/brakelight on my driver side. Passenger side works fine. Bulbs are not the issue. All other lights functioning. Found a bad 7.5amp fuse on driver side fuse panel. Replaced and still, no taillight.
Any other fuse or cause for the driver side tail light only to stop functioning?
I have a 1999 Chevy Suburban and for some reason I've having this problem the my one brake on the passenger side won't light up when you press the brake but the other side will. And also when I apply the turning signal on the passenger side it blinks really fast and you can see the front signal flashing fast but the back does not flash at all. So for some reason the brake and signal lights don't work at all on the back passenger side. But the running lights do go...
View 14 RepliesWe just bought a 2010 Rx 350 and the brake light on the passenger side is not working. At first, I thought I could just replace a bulb, but it appears that the brake light(s) are led bulbs and are incorporated into the housing. I removed the lamp assembly and found a ceramic resistor that appears to be connected to the led bulbs. I measured the resistance and it was right on. Are these bulbs replaceable?? If not, the car still has about 14000 miles on the warranty. I thought it would be a user serviceable part.
