I just got a new switch from the dealer, only rear fog control (don't have OEM LED's yet), and I want to turn to the right one position, but the HID's come on, and no city lights. What am I missing?

I cannot stand the way they look, I tried just taking the bulbs out but it throws the warning light. Just curious to see any luck with turning them off in vagcom.

View 3 RepliesI recently installed a new car stereo in my 05 CRV to replace the factory unit which had a broken CD player. Everything appeared to go fine, but I noticed at night that when the Head Light switch was turned on, only the top half of the dash lights would turn on, the lights for the AC/Heater failed to light, and the PRNDD1D2 lights which work fine in the day (sans the drive light not working, but that's been the case for a year now) would turn off. I've checked the fuses and found no blown ones, although the fact that the top half of the dash lights still turn on made a blown fuse seem less likely.
The lights that are left on will still dim/brighten when the dimmer knob is turned, and I noticed that if I pull the small lights fuse the dash lights don't work, but the PRNDD1D2 lights remain lit even with the headlights on. I've tried removing and re installing the factory stereo to see if there was a short in the new wiring harness, but that changed nothing. As is the car is still drivable, as the top half of the dash lights is enough to make all the gauges readable, but it's still a bit annoying. Any clues as to what I've done, and is there a reasonably cheap fix to the problem?
I changed the bulbs from the stock to LED then the error light was showing so I decided to switch back the stock lights (I did this while the lights were on).
And now my city lights will not turn on at all! It is a fuse that is causing this problem?
I have noticed that my headlights move differently each time I start the car and turn the lights on. Sometimes they simply charge to brightness, sometimes they rotate up and brighten and sometimes they rotate up turn side to side and then brighten. I thought there was some trick such as putting your foot on the brake before turning the ignition on means they will skip the full cycle but I tried all sorts of variation(on the brake off the brake, no parking brake etc.) when starting and nothing seems to affect the headlights consistently.
View 8 RepliesI'm trying to get friend's 04 F150 4x4 started. I think it might be the ignition switch. Here's what I've done. Turn the Key and nothing happens. Not even a clicking sound from the battery.
-verified the battery had a good charge and that terminals were clean, connections were tight.
-checked the fuses in the passenger side kick panel, none were blown
-Determined there was power to the primary Pos wire going to the starter , but no power being sent to the smaller wire that goes to solenoid at the starter.
-Hooked a jumper wire to the starter solenoid and engine did crank (so starter is good and battery is making good connection)
This is why I'm thinking its the ignition switch.
1) Where is the ignition switch located?
2)How can I test the ignition switch?
3)Could it be the "cylinder lock and keys" that is faulty?
Just bought a used 2003 Dodge Neon SXT for my daughter. The car didn't pass inspection because the fog lights didn't turn off unless I turned the headlight switch completely off. I ordered a new switch w/ fog light from Napa, disconnected the negative cable, removed switch assembly, removed the wiper switch and installed on new headlight switch hooked up harnesses and reinstalled. I was so happy to find the fog lights now turned off.....until I took the car for a ride and found my turn signals and hazards not working......
Repeated the disassembly process making sure harness was completely seated, it was, took assembly back out, looked over the harness, all appeared good, hooked up just the old headlight switch (left windshield wiper switch on the assembly, did not plug in) and hazards now flashed but no turn signal. Reinstalled the new one again still no turn or hazards....thoroughly aggravated I walked away at this point. Am I missing something? The turn signal fuse is the same as the power mirrors, mirrors are working.
I noticed on my Prius four there is a row of LED lights above each headlight. Do they come on? I can't seem to get them to turn on at all. The one parking light above the headlight do come on.
View 13 RepliesDrove it last night around 9pm. Parked it and went to drive it again this morning around 7:30. No cold weather here or rain. Here is what I know: When I turn the key I hear a click (not a repeating click) but the engine doesn't turn over. Batteries have 12.5 volts. I put my trickle charger on them and had full charge after about 3 or 4 minutes. When I turn the key the headlights do not go dim. I put a screw driver across the solenoid on the passenger side fender and got a strong arc. When I do that, I can also hear another click that sounds like its coming from the engine. I tapped the starter a few times with a hammer, but it still wont turn over. I'm guessing bad starter.
View 14 RepliesWe have a 2004 2.4L 4 cyl Santa Fe. Turn ignition key get a click and engine will not turn over. Push key in harder and engine may start fine. If it is the key ignition switch or something else. is there somewhere I can look to see how to remove the ignition switch?
View 4 RepliesMy lens on my city light popped off. It seems like I might be able to reach it and get it from the city light socket, but it'd be impossible to turn it around and stick it back. The next option would be to cut the headlights open. I'm about to just give up and let it sit there.

The only thing I don't like about them is that they're either hooked up to the DRL or the headlights. Hooked it up to a button or switch? If not, are there any fog lights for a 2015 IS350 F-Sport that can be manually turned on/off?
View 2 RepliesI just bought a Prius C Three on 4/5/12 and noticed there are fog lights installed on the car and yes have verified there are bulbs in the lights. After reading through the owners manual it shows how to turn these on, but my car does not have the added dial switch on the turn signal shaft where you turn the normal lights on. I have looked the car over completely to see no switch. Should I contact Toyota about this or something I would have to modify myself.

View 21 RepliesI was on the way home tonight and I noticed the driver side HID headlight turn off after putting my turn signal on.
I have LED DRL fog lights installed and they're wired with no relay and plugged into the Engine Compartment fuse box. The installer connected them on the left side (where the wires come in, from the two black components by the air filter).
Could this wiring setup be interfering with the HID's?
When I go through a tunnel or under a bridge with my headlights on the Auto setting the lights will turn on, but wont turn themselves back off when it is no longer dark.
View 6 RepliesSometime when I make a sharp turn (such as turning out of a parking lot) I hear a "pop or click" noise coming from the front end. I cant tell whether this is normal or not and I wanted to know if this was a sign of anything serious. The car only has 70k miles and is in pretty good shape. Still stock suspension.

So I have heard that, it is only good to turn on the ECO mode when you are driving in the city or town. When you drive onto highway, you should turn ECO off. Any good explanation of what is the best method of using the ECO button?
