Having had this ES350 since November, I have had it on no less than 3 occasions unlock the doors when I approached it and upon walking away it did not relock.
This sporadic behavior is a bit disconcerting to me.
I just purchased an '02 Camry. All doors lock with remote and interior door lock buttons. Only driver door unlocks with remote and door lock buttons. I have seen other posts with this issue, but not a clear solution.
View 1 RepliesIt wasn't something that happened all that frequently, but the door lock on the passenger side would occasionally get stuck when someone would try to open it at the same time I was unlocking the doors. And I understand that this is something that is common because I've experienced this same situation with other vehicles. But now when I unlock the doors be it by the door handle sensor, the remote key or when I'm inside the car it remains locked sometimes. The only way to unlock the passenger side door now is by repeatedly pressing the unlock button inside the cabin, remote key or manually unlocking the door from the inside.
View 5 RepliesAfter owning the truck for a little over a year I figure it's time to fix the little stuff staring off with the rear door. When pressing any of the 3 buttons to open/close it I get it to work 50% of the time. That being said, I can't pinpoint a specific bad part.
View 14 RepliesWhen approaching the car from any direction, if I am within a couple of feet of a door, the door automatically unlocks. It's wicked cool and I love that it does this but....I don't think it's supposed to.
I only have the only FOB that works (I have another but either the battery is dead or the fob is dead) so I can't test to see if it does it with both.
,I looked through the owners manual, and searched Google but I don't see anything saying this is something that is supposed to happen. The doors don't lock automatically, and if I press the door button to lock the car it doesn't unlock again. It only seems to unlock if I walk up to it locked and stand there for a few seconds.
When I hit unlock on the key fob it unlocks the driver door. If I hit it twice, I still only unlocks the driver door. It won't unlock the other three doors. If I manually unlock the doors with their handles and then hit lock on the fob it locks them all.
When I got the car it worked fine. Two clicks of unlock on the fob unlocked all doors. Recently, I did replace the key fob battery.
I just got my beautiful accent but the locks sometimes lock and unlock on their own! I think its just a grounded out wire. It doesn't happen all that often but I would like to get it fixed. Also the window switch doesn't work on the passenger side. The only thing that will make it go up and down is the switch on the drivers side.
View 2 RepliesOne thing I'm not liking quite as well with my Passat as my previous car is that in my old car when I turned off the engine it would unlock all the doors. The Passat only unlocks the drivers door. I'd like to have the other doors unlocked as well for when I have the kids with me. Is there any way to set it to do this?

I've been living with my '03 Camry for a few weeks now, and noticed an odd 'feature'. When I unlock the doors via the key fob transmitter, the doors will re-lock within a minute unless I open a door.
I assume this is a built in feature designed to stop people from accidentally unlocking their doors with the transmitter in their pocket, but it's really annoying! So first off, is this a feature, or something wrong? And secondly, is there a way to disable this behavior?
When I use the fob to lock the '02 Santa Fe, the passenger door lock (only when hot outside) locks then unlocks. You can tell because you hear the locks cycle twice in rapid succession. If I use the key in the passenger door and lock the car, no issues; or if it's cool out no issues so something is expanding or dragging when it's hot. Where do I start the trouble shooting? The lock, the cables, the actuator?

View 1 RepliesAll of my door locks work fine with the key fob or from the master driver side controls. One door lock, the front passenger, will unlock with the rocker switch on that door but will not lock with that switch.
I replaced the rocker switch on that door and I still have the same problem. To me this seems to indicate a problem with the lock wire from the rocker switch to the door actuator since otherwise the actuator works. I believe that is a black/pink wire.
Passenger side and trunk work just fine. Drivers side door no longer unlocks with the remote. Passenger side and trunk work just fine. Fresh batteries and all. I forgot how inconvenient it was not having a remote to unlock.

View 7 RepliesI've got a 1997 F-250 that as soon as you put it in gear to go forward, the doors lock as is the norm on these "new" vehicles. My complaint is that when you stop an get out, the drivers side unlocks, BUT the passenger side doesn't. THEN invariably I go around to get something out of the passenger side and its LOCKED. That's when my blood pressure goes into orbit. A trip to my dealer yielded no cigar. He stated that some models could be tricked into unlocking, but not this one.

View 3 RepliesOccasionally, when I start my 07 I hear a loud zip noise that seems to be coming from the front of the car somewhere. I know it's kinda tough to pinpoint. Something running against the teeth of plastic gears comes to mind.
I should also mention that it happens immediately after the engine has started, about the same time the self leveling headlights start to move.
My driver side door no longer unlocks/locks when I use either my remote or the button in the car.
View 9 RepliesI have a Camry 2011 LE (US) and it is giving me this problem for last few weeks. The doors lock fine with the key fob and the lock button on the doors however only driver side door unlocks when i try to unlock it.
The car does not has any starting problem and it still does not work when the car is started and moving. I have even tried a friend's battery to double check if its a battery issue but it does not seems like its that problem since my car starts just fine.
I have been searching on the internet for the problem and read somewhere it could be a Relay problem and i was able to find two relays in the fuse box. But I just don't know if its legit to try replacing the Relay and if yes which relay control doors.
Recently, i realized the doors would automatically unlock after sitting in garage or parking lot for a night. In the beginning, i was thinking maybe that was my fault that i didn't lock it. However, I double double double checked every time when i left my car. the next day, it was unlocked.
