I have noticed a rubber squeak from my driver's door on my 2010 ES 350. It disappears when the rubber is wet so I am thinking perhaps there is a silicon product that I could apply or another fix for this? Any solutions out there?
View 4 RepliesI am trying to diagnose a buzz/squeak/rattle coming from the driver door. Once I press on the door, the noise goes away, so I would like to take the interior trim and leather off the of the door to do some more troubleshooting. How to remove the interior portion of these doors?

And finally. The front jerk when applying brakes. It's not there in the morning, gets worse as you start driving, feels like strut bar bushings, but all of the control arms were changed in February. Having a tech join me for a ride to show this problem to him. I'm staring to think it's either caliper, or brake actuator.
Approach car and grab the handle, car beeps like 5 times trying to unlock the drivers side door. All other doors unlock.
If I go to passengers side and press the unlock button a couple times it opens. Seems slow to open. Greased lock assembly at door. Not sure if it works.
Normally, when I approach my LS460 with the key in my pocket, the car will automatically unlock once I touch the door handle. A few weeks ago, the driver's side door stopped unlocking. All of the other doors unlock but the driver's side door does not. If I take the key fob out and use it to lock the door and then unlock it, the driver's side door usually unlocks after several attempts with the key fob. I have changed the battery in my remote to no avail.

View 2 RepliesI guess it's more of an annoyance thing than anything else. When I drive I like to rest my knee on the this area where the window switch is. If I drive over a bump etc...this area squeaks. Is it worth having the dealer fix or will it just return.

View 2 RepliesMy driver and my driver side passenger (slightly) door squeaks when I open and close it. I know it has to do with the door checks. The black plastic thing that holds the door open 1/4 or 1/2 way. I don't want to try something that might not fix it like greasing it. I don't want a glob of grease on there and it still squeaks. Is there a way to adjust it?
View 8 RepliesI'm still shopping around trying to find the right ES. I test drove a very clean 2008 today save for 2 things. The interior smelled a little stale. Can't figure out if it was cleaning solvents that were used or if it's a cleaning product mixed with light smoker smell. That was the only thing I noticed initially until I got in for a quick test drive and closed the drivers door.
When I closed the drivers door it had a hollow gong-like sound, like if you hit a big empty metal barrel. A 'bung' sound. I haven't noticed this on other ES's I've checked out. You can kind of pick out the noise on the passenger door on this car, but it's very muted. The passenger door sounds like it's supposed to sound. It sounds solid, more 'chunk'. You could pick out the slight 'bung' if you were listening for it, but normally, all you hear is 'chunk'. But, there's no missing it in the drivers door. There's no rattle in the door or the car in general. Initially, I thought maybe the speaker was loose, but nothing is moving in the door, it just 'bungs' when you close it. Maybe it's out of alignment? It looked straight.
Is there sound proofing in the door that could be missing or loose from a repair?
My 2007 SWB LS 460 with 22,000 miles on it has required replacement of the driver's side door hinges twice and the passenger front door hinges once. This is obviously of concern, since the original fix on the driver's side failed again within 8 months. The car has light single driver use. My dealer says that Lexus "knows about" the problem.
View 14 Repliesi have been searching forums and cant find nothing with this exact problem. i have been having a problem with my ML stereo system, i have a 2007 Lexus Ls460L, like a week ago my driver side door speaker was going in and out then it just cut out completely, 3 days later all my door speakers and sub went out but all my highs are still on playing normal i see post saying the amps go bad but everyone says a chirping noise or no sound but i have sound but only in for my highs i have no bass at all.

View 10 RepliesMy driver's side and passenger side door handles squeak when using them to close or open the door. Its kind of an annoying issue which surprised me due to the quality and fit and finish on the rest of the car. The door handles do NOT make noise when driving the car, only when I grab and squeeze and close or open the door. I will be taking it to my dealer's service centre at my earliest convenience to see if they can remedy the issue.

My self-closing door feature on my driver door has stopped working recently. The other three doors self-closing door feature works flawlessly.
Is there an easy solution, such as a fuse? Or, does something else, more extensive, need to be done, i.e., should I seek out a professional mechanic?
As an aside, around the same time (if not the same time), my folding side mirror for my driver door stopped working. Any possibility they are related?
Have a really bad squeak in the rear driver side it gets worst when I have a passenger I think it's the shock...
View 2 RepliesWe have been tolerating a bad squeak in the driver's side front door upon opening, closing (any type of swinging of the door). Dealer tried lubricating it with no success. They told us that they would order a new hinge and "hope" that resolves it. I am a little worried about this. Would you trust your dealer to remove and re-install the door or just live with the squeak?

Anyhoo for the real story, we got home today and noticed that there was a seal around the the sunroof, well on the driver side that was loose. Sort of a flex/accordion type. The other side didn't have one. Not sure, but it looks like it folds over to the outside under the slide track, but not sure. The other side is gone.
