I am a new 2013 Lexus ES 350 owner. I've notices when I'm driving at 55mph and above that when I press the brake when approaching a stop light or stop sign I can feel a vibrations, the steering wheel doesn't vibrate and the car itself doesn't tremble but I can feel it in my foot. My husband said it could be the ABS. Maybe it's totally normal.
View 7 RepliesMy moms GX 470 squeaks a lot at lower speeds and when pressing on the brakes. She's taken it to the repair shop twice, they said they tried replacing the brakes and they were still squeaking. It has to be something around the wheels cause thats where the sound is coming from.
View 10 RepliesSo when I press auto(physical button) and have my temp at HI or 85, it turns on the AC as well. Why this is? I thought auto was supposed to adjust everything to get it to that temp. AC is also on when I hit the front defrost(physical button).
This is on a 2013 Premium with rear seat controls, and S Flow and 3 Zone is off, if that makes a difference. Maybe I'm missing a setting somewhere, I'm still pretty new to all this coming from a 99 GS 300!
I have noticed that when pressing on the brakes at 50 MPH and higher my steering wheel starts vibrating and it feels like the car is being tugged a little to the left. This started a couple of weeks ago, what might be causing this?
View 14 RepliesMy 2013 RX350 (all-wheel) has a super annoying droning sound when pressing gas pedal - it is not the smooth-humming but a kind of low cat-purring sound that is more pronounced when in low RPMs. The dealership can't tell the problem, Lexus Field Specialist acknowledged the sound and said I am not the first one to complain about it, but he doesn't think anything wrong with it. According to him, this is not the sound of the engine, but the exhaustion system. My overall experience with RX350 is not as good as I had expected: it is nosier than my previous highlander, it is also nosier than my wife's Odyssey.
View 14 RepliesJust picked it up on Saturday. 2010 WE, 39,500 miles. Ran great all weekend. This morning, on my way to work, I merge onto the highway, and BAM! Check engine light comes on. Now the car Shakes / vibrates while going 40, or 60-65, and gently pressing on the accelerator.
It shakes at idle, while in Drive, with the brakes on. It seems to have lost power, and the engine sounds like a manual car if you were to try to start from a dead-stop in fifth gear. I've taken it back to the dealership, and they are checking it out. Wondering what the heck happened.
I should also point out that on Saturday, the second I got home, an "Air Bag Error" warning came on, and hasn't gone away.
I have a 2004 Ford Expedition and today on the freeway I had to step on the brakes pretty hard to avoid an accident. After pressing, the pedal resistance became really soft and the brakes worked, but were very sensitive (a lot of pedal movement to brake). I had this happen some time ago and I did a complete system flush and no problems since then, but it has to do with how hard I hit the brakes. What could be wrong????? BTW - I never noticed the anti-lock brake pedal pulse at all during this event. I'm not even sure it is working at this point. No dash lights to indicate an error of any sort.
View 3 RepliesJust bought a L/Certified pre-owned 2013 ES 350. I am shocked at how much the car vibrates and noise increases when stopped at a light or stop sign. I tried a 2015 ES 350 and the same thing occurs!! The dealership technician says everything is operating "to specification". This is a disgrace for such a high-tech, luxury car.

Compared to the passenger side which is pretty stable and to a 2012 RX 350 which is stable too.
On my Santa fe 2009 , Just noticed that I can shift from PARK to R, N, D or anything else without pressing on the brake. I checked the gear sticky by the mechanic , and we found that the lock on the gear sticky not exists. So I am worry if that normal and it's like safety option that not exists on my car? Also , is it something that may case damage to the transmission , or just Safety option .

View 12 RepliesI have a 2005 GLI tip-tronic. Bought used but the brakes are not that great. I know what the brakes should feel like since I did a swap for them on my GTI. I'm done brake pads /flush and cycled the abs pump to try an fix it. However on this car when I press the brakes I can here a humming/ buzzing noise. I'm assuming it the brake assist pump. Can this be eliminated or does it have to be replaced. The car stops just not all that great for it having the type of brakes it has.
View 1 RepliesI have a 05' prius with 106k miles on it that i got a few weeks ago. When I am sitting stopped and the ice is shut down and i have the brake pressed i hear something of a "blub blub blub" like fluid going through some sort of tube or something. It seems to be related only to when holding the brake at a stop. I wasn't sure if this was a normal sound or not. The brakes function ok and the sound goes away when i release the pedal. It isn't related to the inverter compressor as that seems to buzz and stop as one would expect. I haven't had a chance to hold the pedal while listening under the hood but it seems to be coming from the area around the ice under the hood.

View 2 RepliesI have a 2002 Kia Optima. The headlights have been flickering as well as every light inside the car. When they're doing this, if I press on the brakes, everything fades out. Such as the radio, headlights get very dim, air conditioner fades out. The car almost comes to the point of stalling. I've had the alternator replaced but the problem continued. I have asked several mechanics but they are baffled.

Every time I have a cold start on the car, When driving at low speeds and braking, it has a loud squealing noise. Once the car has been running and driving, it goes away and doesn't came back unless I park the car and get back in an hour or so later. I went to the dealer and the guy said it's "normal", said moisture gets in and needs a few minutes break apart and that's how Lexus designs their cars. Which is believe is BS.

View 14 RepliesMy 2013 gs 350 f sport sounds like a school bus. I already replace the front pads with a new set of oem pads and had them resurface the disk too. after a couple of hours the noise came back! seems like my lexus dealer can't solve my issue.

View 2 RepliesWhen I come to a slow stop my brakes squeak. I took the car to the dealer and had to prove to them that the brakes actually squeak. I drove around and pulled back to the service area and keep driving and stopping and the brakes squeaked every time. They supposedly replaced the brake pads, however, the brakes still squeak.
View 14 RepliesBought a '13 RX 350 CPO from Rohrich Lexus in Pittsburgh. It has 16,800 miles on it. It's the wife's daily driver. She tells me the brakes are making noise today. I drive it...sure enough sounds like metal on metal coming from the left front. Like the pads are worn and they are scraping the rotor. No pulsation through the pedal though.
I used a pressure washer to make sure there is no brake dust build up or debris between the pads & rotor. The rotors look ok, no pitting or scoring. At 17K the pads CAN'T be worn already?! I'll jack it up tomorrow and take the wheel off for a better inspection.
