How to disable the Lexus Link system? I recently purchased the overhead console with the one that has the sunglasses holder. However, now I get the Lexus Link error every time I start the car. How do so on the GS?

View 5 RepliesHow to disable the "I AGREE" button that appears every time the car is started? I have seen other posts that refer to this issue on other non GX models, and take about putting the system in "simple mode" by pressing the SCAN button eight times, then the REPEAT or another button after that. I have tried this on my 2006 GX but with no luck. After I put the audio system into CD playing mode, I press the SCAN button repeatedly and quickly but all it does is scan the audio tracks.
The only other thing I know about my GX is that it is still on its original nav software, and is scheduled to receive the update which my Lexus dealer says is coming out in October. Not sure if this affects its ability to bypass the "I AGREE" screen, or if the software update will affect it either.
On several other cars I've owned it was possible to link a key fob to seat memory. Meaning if my wife used her remote fob to open the car doors the seats and mirrors were set to her memory position etc.
I searched the owner manual and don't see this feature on our SC430.
2008 ES 350 sway bar replace, confirmed diagnose of metal thump, like dead blow metal to metal, mostly bumps, rough roads. etc, it wasnt' a vibration, but finally moved the sway bar link up and down on jack stands and could see and hear the top joint of the sway bar link moving.
It wasnt a bad job, but if your in the Rust Belt, the nuts aren't happy coming off, and I highly recommend a air saw to ease the pain. If you dont have a saw, and your in the Rust Belt make sure you clean the heck outta the rust in the threads, cause it just jams the works as your easing the nut off the stud.
Need 17mm wrench (i used box end rachet) and 6mm allen , its got that stupid set up off the allen slot in the end of the stud to steady that, and they you gotta work the bolt off at the same time, not a one hand operation.
Start by spraying the snot outta the 17mm nut and stud with Blaster, Hold onto the allen key wrench and I whacked the rachet with a dead blow hammer and was able to get it to bust loose, now you just have to ease the nut off with whatever it'll give you. After I got some room for the air saw blade, I just whacked it with the saw.
Careful if you just start with a cut off operation into the rubber boot of the stud, there is a shoulder that wont allow it to just pull thru, you have to cut the stud on the nut side of the sway bar in order for it to pull thru.
2003 Olds Silhouette. ABS light comes on again. How do I clean the sensor and where would it be located? I guess near the break system by the wheels. Worse case, I can just simply remove the ABS fuse but this will lid up ABS light and my wife she does not like it. Is there a way to disable ABS and kill the light too? without taking the dashboard off.

View 2 RepliesI bought the used 2006 Lexus 148,000 miles few days ago now when driving its showing on the dash check PCS system.
I took it to the local garage they plugged in Techstream and said they are no faults are recorded.
I called today Lexus Oxford, Lexus Reading and they said they will start with the initial diagnostic diagnostic using the Lexus software and will then proceed further according to the trouble codes.
I told them that as the local garage have used Techstream were unable to find any trouble code, after that they said that they have to start with the initial diagnostic and will charge me for that and after that they will they how many more hours are need for checking , its ridiculous .
1) Check PCS System.
2) How can I check the health of the Hybrid battery as battery bars are charging and discharging too quickly.

View 6 RepliesSo the check system light went on after driving 30 minutes then hitting traffic. Would it be possible that it's the TPMS telling me the tire pressure is low? The tires i have are 245 30 and 285 25..the psi on both tires on the driver side are at 30 and the passenger side are both at 33. could that be the reason? What the recommended PSI is for tires that size?
View 14 RepliesHave the EML on on my GS450h, read the fault codes and I have 2 fault codes that are identical (P0430). I cleared the fault codes and it stays off for a day, then as soon as I go above 60mph the next day, it comes back on again, the faults are stored and not current codes. I've not noticed any MPG loss or loss of power whatsoever! So am I safe to assume its not the catalysts? Only other thing I could think of is an o2 sensor gone bad perhaps? I don't want to spend money really as I'm about to sell the car for a more economical one for my 150miles per day commute to work! Just had all 4 wheels refurbished too which set me back a fair amount, now this!
